| Peaceful days in the world of Shikanoko Nokotan Koshitantan...don't exist lols. Nokotan's nose bubble antlers while asleep, is creating lot of bubbles around the class...or that she's really asleep by the look of her antlers that gathers more and more birds...and the class goes on like normal, just like Episode 1. Of all the things...Nokotan sure likes to stress the class a lot. And if there's chance of any pressure, an old Matagi warrior of Kumatoi Soichiro seeking Nokotan, and he doesn't care about everything around him. Nokotan...hiding in a porch just accented on the school floor, because she's the topic of food (and the whole Day of the Deer with humans eating Ezo deer on every 4th Tuesday of the month in Hokkaido IS REAL). The hunt begins between Nokotan and Soichiro...though the pursuer gets distracted by deer-friendly gals enough for the pursuited to escape, and no matter how many traps Soichiro can make, Nokotan will escape just fine. The confrontation between deer and human...plus some broken Engrish with Soichiro, gets a time out because of his wife who eggs him to get some Nerima daikon, mistaking a word for different towns to get arrested with the possession of firearms lols. Yelp, Nokotan's tracksuit is all ripped, and Koshitan accompanies her to buy another set, and plastic bottles still being Nokotan's arch nemesis and nightmare. But not to worry, Koshitan will always lead her safely...whilst still getting lost in Hino. Oh well, patching the holes with sewing does the trick, but it's not all too bad for eventful Deer days forever. With Nokotan suspiciously missing and everyone forgetting her...what the hell's going on? 1 more episode to go, how wacky will this series end on a note? |

| A little boring first part, but the rest of the episode was mostly funny. Nice Darth Maul reference with Nokotan's double-bladed lightsaber. :P Nokotan suddenly disappeared and no one can even remember her anymore except for Koshitan. Weird. Well, gotta check out the last episode to find out what's going on. |

| First half of the ep was pure brain rot as usual with the Nokotan vs Matagi fight. No idea how the author even comes up with this stuff. But the second half with Koshitan taking Nokotan out to get a new tracksuit was so cute. Koshitan being all tsun tsun but realising she loves being with Nokotan and wants things to continue like this is so adorable. She might be a pain in the ass, but she’s Koshitan’s pain in the ass. That ending tho, everyone forgot Nokotan?? Of course they do this right as Koshitan realises how much Nokotan means to her 🤦🏽♂️ Finale is gonna be crazy. |

| It was okay sometimes but overall I had some good guffaws and laughs at some points. The butt rip kinda sealed it for me, gotta end on a high note. Honestly, I'm a little bummed by the post credits scene...but I'm sure it will resolve itself nicely. I wish this show had 100 episodes to be honest; I love it. Also, did anyone else get the "Full Metal Jacket" reference? That was quirky and nice. |

| This episode was the most fun I've had in a while with this anime! Basically I believe episodes 7-10 to be the weakest part of Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan, but it seems like the finale will be the best part of it. This show has some of the best first episodes I've seen and I don't want it to be remembered just for that (and the memes from the trailer). Let's see next week how they have decided to end this wacky story. (Btw I find a season 2 very unlikely, but it depends on the end of this one if that's desirable or even possible) |

| Wow, Nokotan really is a heavy sleeper, but scaring everyone by pointing out the clothing tags was a bit much! Her sworn enemy, the Matagi, made his appearance, though it’s a shame we didn’t get to witness the battle between them. Poor Matagi won’t be able to return to his wife due to the law against firearm possession. Wait, are you telling me that Nokotan never actually existed and was just a figment of Koshitan’s imagination, created as a way to cope with the stress of hiding her past as a delinquent and being seen only as a perfect girl? What a plot twist! |

| A very entertaining episode here. I liked the Terminator Reference and I think we also got a Darth Maul one with Nokotan's weapon. Very interested to see why Koshi is the only one to remember her next time. |

| This episode was actually among the funnest of the show so far imo, and this is mainly thanks to the Deer Hunter bit, I really think these were the best use of deer jokes, the bit at night especially got me when Nokotan was caught in a trap on the dude’s trail cam, then she proceeded to blow open the trap lol, not bad. The final showdown was also kinda cool with the references and whatnot, but then the hunter has to call off the fight because of his wife or mom (not sure which honestly lol), that means the narrator lied tho, he said they don’t do basic jokes but that was a very basic ending, I guess him getting arrested for open carrying was a bit unexpected but still lol. The other bits this episode were pretty good too, I liked Koshi’s goofy face when she was in that snot bubble, as well as Nokotan’s face when she briefly woke up to let everyone know they left their tag on, damn funny faces get me more often than not lol. And the last bit wasn’t really funny, but more of a wholesome one kinda like the Anko and Bashame bit at the end of the previous one, it was sweet how Koshi stitched Nokotan’s track suit back together, but I’m ngl I find it hard to believe Koshi is fond of Nokotan after all this time lol. But at the end it was revealed Koshi is off her pills and stopped seeing the silly deer girl since no one seems to remember Nokotan, sounds like we’ll have an interesting plot for the finale which I’m into, I hope it can be as fun as this episode because I’d like for this to end on a good note even if it lost me a lot along the way. |

Here it is, the second to last episode. The anime had its ups and downs, but overall, a fairly enjoyable Wednesday show signalling the middle of the week. These are the eye catches for this week's episode (personally my favorite ones since they're from Hokkaido):

I feel like we've had at least one classmate or friend like Nokotan that is so deep in their sleep during class that just drool comes out of their mouth. Honestly, that whole first segment reminded me of Tonari no Seki-kun where you have one character killing time in class while is trying to focus, yet the latter is always the one being called out. Or, as the narrator put it, 「しかのこのこのここしたんたん」があるある。 We're going back to our cinematic roots with this second part boys, with a weird drama surrounding a Matagi hunter, or a traditional winter hunter based in the Tōhoku region of northern Japan. From the people that brought you the wild blockbuster-esque trailer that is PV 2 comes a small segment about the Hokkaido 鹿の日 and a seeming continuation of Nokotan's epic saga in the escape from this elderly Matagi. I don't know why, but just the juxtaposition in character detail between the Matagi hunter and Koshitan is amusing to me. Also, I'm pretty sure everyone has noticed this Easter egg by now, but the Terminator reference of the Matagi analyzing Nokotan's trail has a few lines of the OP lyrics in romaji on the left hand side, which was a nice touch. We were so close to an epic showdown, with some English dialogue thrown in for good measure, but it was abruptly cut by the unmistakable sound of an infuriated spouse. For how overly-dramatic this whole segment was, it was actually pretty cool to learn about deer-based hunting culture in north Japan, but the excerpt from the Firearm and Sword Possession Control Law killed me. Aww man, we were this close to getting a confession with that last segment, but at least we got some lighthearted yuri scenes between Koshitan and Nokotan, so I'm not necessarily complaining. It was the shortest of the three, but for once, it didn't fully end up in abject chaos. For all the jokes and dumb stuff this show has packed in over the past 11 episodes of its airing, despite the anime not fully living up to the expectations the PVs presented, this was still a fun watch that marked the middle of every long week. Hope the last episode ends on a high note, especially from what we got in the post-credits scene... |

I havent seen Full Metal Jacket but Im placing all my bets on when Matagi was doing those lines in English. I knew it had to be a reference from not making sense he would speak English, i just didnt know what. Was cute the bit Koshitan and Nokotan together. Only 1 ep left boooo :c |

| The last part of Koshitan & Nokotan was kinda cute and it give season end vibe. Until post credit scene, there will be some overthe top comedic reveal in the last episode for sure. Or maybe it was just a dream that will be messed up. |

Maybe I am just old but when I saw Shikanoko's weapon my first thought was the Bat'leth from Star Trek at least until the energy blades came out.
