Well considering she only saw Slaine in S1 Ep1 , you could say its a heart touching reunion for Slaine, I guess having her repeat his name more than 10 times shows she had missed him.The garden part where she remembered Inaho was due to her recovering her memories of her times on Earth (Slaine was never there) so who do you think she was supposed to remember?

Maybe if she'd put any kind of emotion in repeating his name. Which she didn't. She sounded like a broken machine. Compared to her remembering her time on earth the difference is enormous. Slaine had to repeat his name ot her over and over and over until she got it. The blank look on her face showed she didn't know who the hell he was when he first saw her awake. Edelrituo didn't have to say her name and Asseylum recognized her instantly.

I'm not arguing she could have remembered anyone else in the garden it's the fact that she remembered without as aggressive of an external stimulus as Slaine repeating his name and crying over and over. That's the difference. Again you seem to think the two of them have this lofty perfect romantic relationship when everything we've seen in the anime so far has proven it's platonic and that the romance is entirely onesided from Slaine's part.

Dear lord again I could care less for romantic feelings, I only said Slaine and Asseylum are close friends, Asseylum did exactly miss Slaine when she was on Earth. What is so wrong with missing good friends? She only knew Inaho on Earth because Inaho was the person she mostly spent time talking with.Is it so wrong if she remembered Inaho as well?

Judging by the preview, Inaho and his gang will definitely experiance a great setback, Deucalion also looks pretty beat up. Guess Slaine won this round. Lemrina at the end, what's she planning ? If she knew that her half-sister is awaken, there would be some sparks.

But I don't see any signs of any main character dying though. It would just be some other cannon fodder, well I will be damn if the magic plot armor can protect them to that extent.

If its a chess game I would had expected Inaho to say "Well played, Slaine. Well played."

And on a side note I am surprise that Elduritto had not spilled the beans to Asseylum about the current situation, she was not left in the dark and her loyalty to her is unquestioned. Wonder whats holding her back ?

TBH the time Asseylum spent with Inaho was too short for them to form any meaningful or deep relations in my opinion. Sure they had several meaningful conversations but that was only 2. I am cutting out the whole "save her life" part because any reasonable person would had done so.

Yea Slaine will become the emperor, and then the writers will pander to him some more, and will want us to feel bad for him when the write a scene were Slaine is pissed because the throne isn't made of enough gold or some shit.

Preview looks decent. Nameless grunts getting killed, but I still wonder if we'll have any tension for the main characters.

The most logical route for the episode would probably be some kind of fighting retreat, and then to try again later with a better plan, especially if we see the Deucalion taking fire. Then they could make a case to the UFE that the war is about to take a turn as well, and maybe get a more serious response out of the lol-worthy leadership.

We don't know how inclined the Counts are to pursue though, so we'll see.

The last shot of Lemrina seems pretty sad. Are those tearstreaks on the sides of her face, or just strange shadows? Slaine better not make muh cripple princess cry.

I guess Inaho is fucked!

How is he gonna survive against Vers men?! Who's gonna die next? Yuki-nee? Marito? What if Slaine kills her? How is he gonna react if he saw it coming?

Since Asselyum finally awakes, how come Lemrina didn't notice it yet?! How is she gonna find out if she finds out (at the end of the video)? Kill her so she can let Slaine take over this throne & the bullshit still continues?

I GOT A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS!! I'M GONNA GET RAGE SOON!!

Second Season Slaine amuses me because he's just so far removed from the first season edition to the point where he might as well be a whole other character crossed over from an alternate universe like bearded Spock. The show has to pretty much end with a final duel with Inaho and Slaine for all the marbles (whatever the marbles end up entailing cause truthfully I'm not even sure what this fight is fully about anymore other than a destined grudge match between two pretty boys or what a resolution might even entail) anyway so they're probably going to have him on the sidelines for the next couple weeks keeping in mind that after tomorrow the show has something like an hour and 20 minutes of content left.

Honestly I am puzzled about the next episode seeing at the title for it doesn't actually sound as grim as it looks. If anything it sounds hopeful so I have to wonder how this encounter is going to end.

Cant take these climaxes seriously after the first season finale. I thought the show would have the gull to actually kill off the characters who were shot at the very end, but of course not. This series is falling under SAO-syndrome, where the greater plot behind all of it is eventually dissolved for some love story.

Because "killing characters" is the only way to make a show good right? Oh and do you understand what plot is?

Just to put the cherry on top of the cake I want two things right now: a) the blonde martian guy doesn't die (...) b) Slaine shows he is actually a psycopath and not just a retarded kid.

So Harklight got a mech too now :D Team Slaine is getting stronger by the minute :)

I have to say the multiple castle landings and cataphracts are examples of what both seasons of this series should be like from the start. Coordination and teamwork has been the key for a very long time, just when it looks like another typical Inaho taking out enemy cataphract domination, Slaine has turned the tide in the battle :D

I don't know what kind of influence the real princess will give if she reveals herself publicly but we will just have to wait. I think the best score this series can is an 8/10 regardless on how the next few episodes and the finale paves out :)

Birds over flowers?

Here I represented Inaho as birds and Slaine as flowers. Princess Asseylum picked the birds over the flowers.

If Inaho somehow defeats every single enemy next episode without even one significant death in the crew, he'll officially be elevated to Shiba Tatsuya-level disgustingly overpowered. SASUGA ONII-SAMA. No, really, fuck Inaho. Turn hax off pls.

Either way, Slaine's being a little bitch this episode. Has to be expected, he's still shit, yet surprisingly still not the worst character on the show. Either way he doesn't fail to entertain me.

What worries me is that when oblivious blondie finally realises what Slaine has been up to, she won't be able to do shit cause he'll just lock her up (and the lolimaid as well, because why not) in the garden or some shit and proceed to marry the pinky cripple while resuming his plans for world domination.
...Except it'll never happen cause Inaho will rescue blondie, probably with the help of pinky cause she has betrayal written all over her.

Can't wait to watch the trainwreck, the buildup is real.

Slaine that slippery little rascal. Once again proving why he's the best character of the series. Although his obsession with Asseylum is beyond creepy, dropping good flowers because of an Inaho reference. Just proof that no matter how devoted he is, he'll never be in her heart. Lemrina has proven to be an interesting one as well. Her hate for her family is stronger than her desire to be loved for who she is.

Here comes the new order, led by the greatest man in existence.

Slaine is finally reunited with the princess, I've been waiting for this since the second episode of S1

I can't believe how repetitive the soundtrack is. It's good, yes, but the song that played during the battle (With the annoying "ohohoh nanana" vocals) has played like 3 or 4 times in S2, and the song is on the S1 soundtrack meaning it was used before.

I just realized Vers is running out of time. Or better, the Orbital Knights are. Slowly, but surely. The decisions to send multiple kataphrakts and landing castles (and therefore, Counts) will only speed it up. It's 37 landing castles, 37 kataphrakts (the ones with Aldnoah), 37 Counts.

And i doubt they can build them. Why would they? They didn't believe they would need it. And it's not like just anyone can build one. Only the royal family can transfer the Aldnoah factor, which they only give to Counts, who in turn are not exactly the welcoming type. So neither is there a need for new ones because of new Counts, nor because a Count lost one. Both things just don't happen.

Also, if they'd be able to build them, i'd think Slaine would already have built some. He does believe in planning ahead after all, and why wait for a Count to find his untimely demise, but his Kataphrakt to survive? The ones encountering Inaho certainly don't come back, and he didn't *plan* for the duel, either.

So both "Counts" and Kataphrakts are limited. How many are still alive, and how many Kataphrakts remain? Enough for now, but if they continue like that, they are running out. Once they have none, they have lost. If they can't defeat Earth with them, there is nothing they can do to stop the UEF without.

Even better, there are so many Landing Castles on Earth that they can reengineer almost everything. Look what they did, having only one Kataphrakt and no idea how they work. Now, having a better understanding of it both due to the Deucalion and the many Kataphrakts they took out, and having two dozen or so Landing Castles to study...

Of course, it won't come to that, Slaine and Inaho will duke it out long before, but it's the Orbital Knights that are under zugzwang, the UEF just has to continue like they do. It might not exactly be good if more and more cities get destroyed etc., and thousands if not millions of soldiers and/or civilians die, but it doesn't matter overally. It's not like they have a choice. They can't retreat, and even if the Orbital Knights would accept a capitulation, which is doubtful, it would only lead to even more people dead. So as long as they can destroy kataphrakts faster than they can be replaced (so far, none got replaced...), they are winning.

The UEF central command isn't exactly doing anything, either, so even if Slaine or whoever takes them out, the rest of the forces, esp. the Deucalion could simply continue. The Orbital Knights can't, without Kataphrakts.

Good episode. More Slane development and how he broke after the princess Assleyum finally woke up. It was a rather overwhelming scene.
Of course, things go south because she's now interested more in Inahi-kamisama than Slaine...

Slaine has a lot of power now, and seeks to end the war. I wonder how things will end up, well, I more or less have an idea.

PD: Stupid Inaho smiling after the Princess refered to him while in the castle. What? Now he has a super ear too? I didn't know I would end up disliking him so much =(
PD2: Slaine's office looks rather dull for a Count but, with those stairs it's sure that Lemrina won't come to annoy him jaja. He's a genius!

Ah, Asyllum now awaken. Why that chibi servant do not tell the whole situations to the Slaine and Asyllum? Her role was also confusing. Shit. So much unexplainations make the whole story felt cracking over and over again. In the name of durations and make the battle epic, the story felt slow on this point. My dream here was Asyllum tell the truth of Inaho to Slaine, and that chibi servant aggrees with it. Her reason for the peace in the earth must be explained to him too. But no, son. The whole point got blurred because of her confusion really frustating to seen. Poor her sister, i hope she just end up with Slaine, and let Asyllum goes in to inaho. Happy ending for both of them, in the peace treaty of earth.

However, since this show really like to blow up some mind, and try hard to put up some twist, the simple problem can be a great deal. Surely Inaho comes to rescue, and rekted all of the reckless people. Bad end for Slaine, cause his role was absolutely understandable, a villain.

Lets see how smooth the plot and the storyline goes to that end...

Slaine is such a manipulator, in just a short span of time, he not only convinced Lemrina to support his cause, but Lemrina herself became Slaine's useful tool, his personal bitch. The love here is not mutual little birdie. It gives me great joy knowing that Slaine actively hides the fact that Asseyleum has already awoken from her coma to Lemrina, that brainless fool.
