LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

BTW I'm really happy it isn't MAPPA that's gonna adapt it. The staff there is probably already overworking a lot cus of the movie + jjk + others.

I hope we get as good of a staff as we can <3

Great news. Look Back was a superb little read and this one-shot should translate really well to a movie. I'm all aboard for this.

I still find it weird we got Look Back first instead of Goodbye Eri, but hopefully this does really good so we can get Goodbye Eri next

Hell yes. All but confirms we’ll eventually get a Goodbye, Eri adaptation. The paneling there replicates film anyway so it should be easy for a competent director to adapt.

Crazy to see a one shot get an anime adaptation but Fujimoto just has that kind of capital in the manga world apparently.

Flip Flappers director is great news.

welp ain't mappa but i'm glad more of fujimoto's works getting notice like this even though look back is nowhere near his best and hopefully we get sayonara eri soon. new studio but director getting some hype it seems so hopefully they nail the adaptation. i'll probably have to wait till next year lol might just reread in the time being.

A pleasant surprise. I kinda like the one-shot manga, so it's good that I have a chance to experience it again in anime movie format.

I've just reread the manga, and I'm somewhat looking forward to watching it animated.

It's a bittersweet sad short good story,
but I'd be excited about some of his first one-shots being animated instead.

Unfortunately, I'm in the minority,
but in my opinion, some of the concept, plot, and potential of some of those one-shots are greater than his manga, i.e. Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man which are overrated with flaws.

Even Goodbye Eri, which is a bit ridiculous with an odd ending if I remember, but more intriguing than Look Back.
Although, Look Back is great as it is for its own charm of simplicity.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to it.
Funny, I think this is this studio's very first anime,
while Mappa who I don't know if their adaptation was successful, hasn't adapted any of his one-shots like they claimed they would, yet.

I'm more concerned on how they are gonna make it anywhere past 40 minutes coz this thing's just very short.

Manabu Otsuka not being involved with a new Fujimoto is the best news I heard all week. Anyways this is a strange one to adapt, I'm cautiously optimistic how it'll be

Caught me by surprise. I'm dubious as to whether it will come to theatres in Europe/Spain, but the prospect looks promising. I already read the manga and it's definitely a highlight. Excited to see how it turns out.

@JaysonNnN bruh it's only 143 pages and only half of that have dialogues. SHORT dialogues to be precise.

Love the manga! I am intrested in how long the movie will be, cause its really is pretty short story for an 1h 30m.

Yes I overdid it a little, but I think that if the director has a contemplative vision, we can have 1 hour.

This I really like, actually my favorite of author's works. Sayonara Eri didn't really do it for me but this... yeah, I'm a bit hyped.
