| Probably the weakest episode since the 3rd, just a date episode and nothing else. After credit is the best part. |
| The whole scene when they both left the subway was almost perfect. It could have been a complete sequence if not for the walking animation. Just look at how stiffly and unnaturally they both walk in this animation sequence. I know, maybe I'm clinging, but such details sting my eyes. Nevertheless, a wonderful episode. |

You mean the same Seven Seas who is known for borderline rewriting and retconning with their inaccurate translations, literally change the context of the story? Considering this context, it's more about being accidentally condescending towards someone that clearly is far more apt to even teach you about their stuff, like a soccer club kid telling a senpai from the archery club how arrows work) a far cry from the term chosen I just mentioned. Furthermore, there's the fact it's not there in the first place, it got shoehorned in by the translator's personal political views on the matter, which is what bother most people (NOBODY wants that kind of crap in their translations/localizations, I've seen many get fired over this kind of thing). You just don't insert your views and preferences over someone else's words, you can get a lawsuit on your ass for defamation and potential reputational damages/hedonic damages real quick, even jail time depending of the country. Imagine you write a wholesome manga, and then the translators make the protagonists use a term that represents hate speech towards any sex, nationality, etc..., would you like to be associated by the entire english community (far larger in number, internationally) for writing such a thing? Oh look, it's that author that had his main female character say "Golly, MC-kun would take this the wrong way when I should just know my place and make sandwiches at the kitchen", or something of the sort, to directly contrast the misandry behind the term used here. Because bless this author's ignorance, I would personally be upset and sue (and that could damage their creative process as well, as serialized creators). It's not exactly too minor of a thing as it seems, I would be out of a job if I ever "slipped" that badly. Either way, this whole debate is just blown out of proportion, and knowing how japanese react to any kind of heated debate by foreigners, I'm pretty sure Sakurai would politely respond in tatemae fashion while thinking that foreigners just have different values in general, if she ever got into contact with this debate. A single word can and will be a big problem if their connotation goes toward being demeaning to a selected group of people. That's how this works, it's not blowing anything out of proportion, it's more than fair and square to complain about this sort of situation. But hey, I think this is as far as my point goes, I'll leave it at that, there's nothing else for me to add to this discussion. The episode on itself was great and perfectly well adapted from the manga, I'm more than satisfied with that alone (weren't for the subtitles that a larger portion of others viewers will make use of, and that I do good in keep checking over the years). |

Raising to 10/10. These two are crazy mismatched, but it's unbelievable how cute this show is. These karte moments are spellbinding. I loved that surreal blue light and music during their walk. This studio truly knows how to make romcom anime (Takagi san too). Nice post credits scene, that "not now" critical hit. This is one of the very few anime I watch in 1x speed all the time. | I understood the sporadic awkwardness we had in a 9 prior episodes, I was even okay taking that in those small amounts, but this episode was peak... awkwardness, too many cringe stuff happening, I feel sorry for those that think this event would happen irl. |

And here we are supposed to believe, that quiet kid, who was literally plotting a murder of his classmate, suddenly became a feminist and is using a term that only misandrist are using unironically, while in fact his personality resembles more that of a 4chan dweller. Laughable and bullshit. That's literally a slap in the face of an author. |

He had maybe 5-6 times where he talked and half of those lines were some mumble bs that meant nothing and nobody else could hear. Imagine going on a date with someone that refuses to look at you for the entire day and mumbles shit all the time and says almost nothing for more than 3-4 hours, or treats you like he is embarassed to be seen in public with you, and pulls away from you all the time and does nothing but stare at his feet. Just think how you would feel after a couple of hours with such a person. I hope they never write something like this again but this comes from Japan so at this point i am dissapointed with myself for expecting to see a good story with properly fleshed out characters that are not wimps bing rewarded for being creeps and stalkers and spineless. |
