Tbh, Sanae deserves praise for her determination. Regardless who she faces in this next round, she fought with heart and determination not just for herself but for the team.

I have mad respect for her effort even if she's the underdog in this.

The big girl enters the scene, and our aoba girl gang faces challenge never faced before, with a determination of a champion takes down two opponents in a row, Michi then Sanae soon after, tho Sanae definitely gave her trouble.

But then, the experienced wing of aoba enters the last fights and takes the win. It also seems that the next opponent team is even more stacked.

The 2nd Round with Aoba West vs. Nishikiyama High, Michi continues to dominate...that is until Megumi Domoto comes around and insta-kills with an Ippon over her. It's crazy to go against someone with a calibre such as hers. Leaving to the 2nd person, Sanae has to survive through the skin of her teeth through techniques that she is taught, and pins are her speciality to break from the stronghold and earn a hard-fought Ippon. As it turns out, both of them fought hard and earn their combined Ippons, but drawing Sanae out of the running losing on warnings.

This fuels the 3rd player Himeno-senpai to play at her best being her final tournament, and she proves why she can fight, though intentionally going out of bounds is not what they'll hope for to gain their spot further into the competition. With the info research known about Megumi's line of attacks, Himeno duels with all her might and scores an Ippon, and the rest witnessing this joyous moment, it's one to definitely remember of her efforts contributed. It's Towa's turn against the scrumptious Nishikiyama team captain Nene Koide, and to be honest, it flew by and stung like a bee, given Towa's aptitude.

But there is one school that reigns above all: Tokyo's powerhouse Tachikawa Academy, a formidable opponent, with one girl finishing all 5 runners in a split second.

Michi and the others have a real bout on their side, so go all-out.

Aoba Nishi can't get enough of a strong opponent. After they won over one strong team they will face another strong team. ๐Ÿคฃ

My one Major gripe with this show is they made Michi look incredibly weak in the first half of this anime. Like her scoring an Ippon was difficult and now she's doing it all the time. They also introduced the Captain of the other team as this strong and fast competitor and yet Towa took her down instantly and it gets overshadowed. Idk I think they needed to develop how talented this girls actually are.
I thought the Sanae scene was nice.
It was a fine episode with another Powerhouse coming up next.

The fights were great, but just how hot blooded this episode was, already made great.

Funny part of this episode: Shino-sensei simply carrying Michi easily, like a trophy.

That was a really fun episode, Michi still kicking butt, I got a bit emotional with Sanae's defeat and Himeno had a great flashy style, I was thinking that Towa finally found a worthy opponent just for it to end in no time.

78 kgs, that girl was close to, if not, triple digits lol.

This anime has been alright, It just feels incredibly one dimensional and I'm thinking I want a little more.

It’s really wild that Michi went on to win two rounds in a row in the next match even after a break, it seems a little unbelievable but with sports anything can happen, and the one to stop her crazy win streak was Megu of Nishikiyama, a hefty girl for sure lol. This spiked Sanae’s nerves back up but she still fought her ass off and while she never gave up winning, she did succeed in tiring out Megu which helped out Himeno when it was her turn, and even with that help she still had to try really hard to win against the powerhouse that is Megu. And I hate to admit the win by Himeno was predictable because Towa hasn’t gotten a chance to go yet, but it was still a fantastic round.

And after that intense round Himeno managed a tie in the next, and finally it was Towa’s chance to shine, her opponent Nene was a surprise with her performance after looking nervous initially, as well as having an impressive history in Judo, so I was hoping for an intense match that would cliffhanger us into the next episode but nah, Towa just went and got that ippon lol, I guess Nene underestimated Towa with her aggressive play, a bit of a shame because I liked Nene’s design a lot lol, but nice to see Towa get her first win of the tournament. And the next team is the most formidable of them all, very excited to see how this next match goes down.

I kinda agree, I think this needed more episodes to develop our main characters or just more episodes to dedicate more time to each match, but I am still enjoying this a lot for sure.

For the second round, the perspective is back to the Aoba West Team, as they get to show off how much they've grown!

Michi manages to take down two more opponents after her overwhelming victory, but she was only a side character here.

Sanae felt like the type who tries hard but doesn't really get anywhere so far. Plus, she's always so timid, unlike her teammates. However, todays match was really impressive. I'm not a judo expert, but it felt like she was really close to winning. She has balanced her tactic, her power and her aggression very well - I wouldn't be suprised if she ended up really strong!

Himeno was also really interesting. She isn't the strongest fighter for sure, but she manages to scrape together what it takes to win, something she got from the way she learned Judo over the years - copying from her opponents and trying stuff she came up with. I love how everyone has their own fighting style.

As for Towa: She's just op! I actually believed for a moment the "killing machine" from the other team would set up for a decent challenge, but Towa just threw her over.

Next up are the favorites of the tournament - let's see if they have someone who can face Aoba's Ace!

Love seeing each girl getting their own time to shine. Sanae's determination was admirable and Himeno's flashy judo style looked so cool.

I'm rooting for Sanae from the bottom of my heart, even though she didn't manage to score an Ippon, her determination and persistence shines through and deserves a thumbs up.

It seems that their opponents in the next match might be quite arrogant, but even if that's true then I guess that's normal since they are a very strong team (take down five people in a minute...) nonetheless I wish the Aoba girls all the best and hopefully Sanae can score Ippon in the next match!

I expected more from the big girl. Rather, I expected to see more. She beats Michi offscreen and, it is suggested, pretty easily, but we only see her struggle with Sanae and lose to Himeno. Then we see the ace of the team flip her switch for a minute before getting dispatched by Towa. I'm not saying I want to see the Aoba girls lose, but the wins are that much sweeter when you do a better job building up the opponents. I guess there just isn't enough time for that, though.

That was intense, the most intense matches in the series. Michi's on a roll, she took down two opponents. Sanae and Hime both did great, they should be proud of themselves. Sanae's match specially was really inspiring. I'm glad the girls won their second round. Though looks like their next opponents are really strong. I hope they do well against them.

This episode was absolutely amazing!! I teared up multiple time because of how it hit me. I wrestled in high school and college and compete in BJJ. I have also trained in Judo and coached college men's and college freestyle women's wrestling, so it resonated with me how much all of the character put into giving it their all to win, not just to prove their skills, but in order to help the team. All of that mixed with pressure from the fear of letting your team mates down. I had empathy for the team that lost because the big girl looked so crushed and disappointed. I can relate to the lows and highs experienced by both teams and I think it was accurately portrayed in this episode. BRAVO! If y'all want to see some of my competitions, I have a bunch of highlights on YouTube  Grappling highlights
