The parody manga that unexpectedly broke Weekly Shonen Jump records, the short-form anime has finally arrived.

10-year-old Bondo Taira, enamored by AI Order maids, doesn't want to FOMO, and gets one in the form of Roboco.

But Roboco isn't the type that Bondo was looking for, and the parodies ensue.

Forget about having the chapters be adapted proper, this was clearly a rush job.

Due to the short runtime I was bracing myself for fast pacing, but this was on speed xD If I'm not wrong then they crammed in even more battle shounen references than chapter 1 did.

Fun start. Roboko's seiyuu is a big plus compared to the manga.

i actually thought this would be like 20min and pretty boring

but got to say roboko va and the 5min of whackiness made it PERFECT

There is a Roboco discord in which a fan has translated the 1st episode into English thusfar... not that I would know anything about that ;)

There are a lot of comedy in one episode but sadly none make me laugh, i hate this type of comedy where out of the blue they just throw random references and expect me to laugh. Well this anime only 3 minutes long so i'll watch few more episode before judging it.

Monster of the week trope is a sign inability of the author to write a good plot so they introduce random ass villain to distract viewer with action.

My English is not good.

It is trying to adapt a 35 pages long chapter to an episode of barely 3 minutes.
Obviously it's mean that tons of content will be cut (including the end of the chapter), and the entire episode will feel like it's running on double speed.
Personally I had no problem when they announced that the anime will be in a short format, but I didn't expect for "this". I thought they will adapt it like with "Saiki Kusuo" were they adapted only the first 14 pages of the first chapter into a 4 minutes episode.
This production is a shame. There is no way they'll be able to any justice for the source material with 3 minutes per episode.
I think I'll stick with the manga

the amount of references in this episode alone is insane lmao, gintama, dbz, one piece, hunter x hunter, jujutsu kaisen, im probably missing a few others obvious ones, solid first episode

Well that was damn fast. There really were about a thousand references crammed in there. Pretty funny start though I do wish it was just a little longer because they really raced through every joke.

Read some of the Manga and this is just as Good.
Wish it was 10 Minutes, then it would be funnier.

My head is spinning after this episode, it felt so fast paced that none of the jokes actually had time to land. The first chapter is 34 pages and the rest are around 15 so I'm just hoping the later eps get better.

the original concept has a lot of potential!! unfortunately as the original manga may be promising from what i've read thus far, i don't think this show is fully hitting the mark for me. it's an alright show, definitely a fan of the art style but not only is the pacing just... incredibly incredibly fast, not all the jokes and references land :/

now i wanna see how well roboko could manage with the z fighters/enemies lmao

This anime was really rushed, but for someone who’s trying to catch up to the anime or anyone who has little time on their hands then this is a go to anime. I really like the amount of shonen references they used, it only makes sense though, being in the same industry.
