That Eisuke guy really is something...giving off a mysterious vibe with just his presence. Tsujimine High School seems like a dark horse in this tournament with their talent. In particular, Eisuke is definitely someone to watch out for. His skills looks clean and on sight with those targets. Impressive imo.

I think this season is building up some big rivalries.

Fascinating use of sound, lighting, OST, visual storytelling to manipulate your feelings, oop, I mean stir your heart....slow clap....
If you've been to the shooting/archery range....its pretty pretty

The episode was just rolling along with not much intrigue, until Kazemai lost to Tsujimine, which I expected. Why they lost so badly is quite a mystery, but my guess is simply because they let outside forces interfere with their play, such as Tsujimine using a different form of Kyudo, and Minato and Seiya meeting Nikaidou again. Of course Kirisaki won in the end.

The rivalries are strong, and the fact that Minato has been forbidden to do archery for a while due to his inability to know the reason for their loss is quite the move by Taki-sensei. As for the technical aspects of this episode, it was as quiet, calming, and beautiful as always.

While Vinland Saga is (in my opinion only) the best anime of the season, Tsurune is the most beautiful and poetic. No one can beat KyoAni, even after what happened. The phoenix rising from the ashes

Nice episode. The only thing I didn't like much is how most of these matches went by pretty fast, I was hoping for something a bit slower and more "poetic" like in episode 2. I liked how we got to see new techniques that the rivals are using... pretty intimidating, they sure did crushed Kazemai High. Our main group doesn't know what is up with them but they'll might find out soon. Don't know why but watching Fujiwara's sister getting excited makes me excited too lol

MAL is the perfect place to shit talk about people's opinions.

I had a good feeling that Kazemai would lose their match against Tsujimine and that feeling turned out to be correct. I wasn't expecting Tsujimine to be playing with an unusual style of Kyudo, but you can't deny that they have a lot of skill, even though they lost to Kirisaki in the finals.

One thing for sure, Kazemai need to up their game if they have any shot of winning the nationals. With the guys being unable to get to the problem of why their form was inconsistent in their 3rd round match, Taki-Sensei went for a bold move of forbidding Minato from practicing kyudo for now. That's going to be a big shock to him, but if Taki's tough love treatment works here, then it should help Minato to realise what's wrong sooner rather than later.

It's hard not to sound like I'm stuck on repeat, but I can't help but mention how beautiful the animation of the arrow shots were, even more so in this episode than the previous two. It's something that I have to rewind just to see it again and again, just to let the gorgeous animation sink in as much as possible. =3

kazemai needs to improve themselves if they want to win

deep down i knew they had to remove minato from the area because he's steering off the wrong direction, especially when he was just thinking of the team, and having to land his shot, which in the first season, that's exactly what made him unable to shoot (well, properly).

a bit of a tangent, but i think they are going to revisited that concept from season 1 and develop it (hoping :DDD).

Gotta love anime instructors making dramatical decisions in a team and not explaining shit why they made them. Like come on, dude... just tell the boys what the fuck they did wrong so we can avoid two or three upcoming episodes of mediocre melodrama smh.

Moral of today's episode: don't get swayed by your enemy and throw your whole team's tempo off.

Kazemai High had to face another school which does not follow a specific and well-balanced routine. They shoot the way that works best for each one of them individually. Their form is all over the place, their timing is jumbled, but it all works out for them. On the other hand, Kazemai has to follow their strict routine and respect what seems like these minor details in order to hit their targets. It might seem trivial, but their individual performances are correlated and influence one another. That's why they lost when their anchor got absorbed by the style of the other team and ignored his role (please remind me of the importance of that position because I can't seem to recall the explanation that was provided in season 1).

I think Takigawa's decision of removing Minato from the range is very reasonable. This will allow his teammates to rely less on him and further improve their shots without the comfort of having an anchor.

They just wanted to have that cliffhanger effect and kind of maintain the theme of the episode. The next episode will most likely focus on the why's and how's.

Forgot how low key creepy Seiya is.

I'm curious why Minato's been grounded from shooting besides being the main character. I think part of it is their rhythm was off and as an anchor he should have course corrected by didn't realize it was off, so he needs to observe more

One team looks at their sport like a martial art, rituals and all. The other team is another day at the archery range. Only in Japan can a sport become a martial art. And horse girls.

I had my suspicions that something wrong had to do with Minato, but I still can't figure out what exactly. Was he psyching himself up too much?
Nevertheless, it was interesting to watch.

Still can't get over Nikaido and Fuwa's near-simultaneous shooting style....that was beyond amazing! And what a phenomenal OST to complement the stellar animation.

KyoANI really kicked it up a notch in comparison to season 1.

Curious how they are going to spin this. It's hard to really understand how the team works together in a sport like this. Minato was just giving off those "bad vibes" man.

Minato was undoubtedly the one who threw the team's time off when he began to feel the pressure of Nikaido.

I'm not sure how to feel about Nikaido's nonchalant remark to Seiya.

Shu, as always, is flawless.
