| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I really loved how much the racers have bonded with one another, to the point they're willing to help out another rival, rather than leave them in the dust. Quite honorable, I love it. That ending was kinda shocking too to be honest. Didn't think he'd be a fake, though I suppose we'll see the real deal from how the last scene was. |

| Cheap drama was okay, thou I liked the comedy parts and lol so I was right that wasn't Gil. Also that last scene was interesting, looks like the real Gil appeared. |

| Man i love a character driven episode. Also love when characters that lack emotion slowly start to express them, just a lovely trope. I've really grown to love all of the characters and their dynamics. Al and Xialians interaction in this episode was pretty good, and as always, when TJ and Dylan are on screen, theres bound to be something interesting. We're also slowly starting to unfold Kosome and Hototo's past. The final scene where Hototo confronted "Gil" hit really hard. Poor kid. Cant wait to see how the conflict with the real Gil unfolds |

| I really liked the episode, the characters in this anime are really lovable I'm glad the Brothers weren't bad guys since I liked them, but I'm kinda surprised since I expected the plot twist "Gil is Hototo's father", the anime reverse-unoed me |
| This is my fav episode so far! Wholesome af 🥰 It was actually a really smart move for the Brothers to pretend to be violent outlaws tbh. I love that Appare just waltzed off to disassemble their car whilst everyone was riveted by Hototo's sad story. |

| Teamwork was great in this episode! Eventho they are rivals, they are not letting them fall behind, since they were the ones to tip them all about the trap! Gotta love how Appare tried to help with the chores everyone did, Fishing, Hunting and starting a fire. Xialian just put Appare out of his misery and she let him check out her car! Hototo was standing against Gil leaving and got shouted at by the audience, I loved how everyone, Al, Xialian and team appare all jumped in to cover him, even Sofia joined them! So in the end those competitors are actually not Gil and just a fake using the name. Now I am interested to know who the real Gil is! Appare just randomly disassembling that car was priceless! |

| Squeeeee! I figured that the Gil character couldn't be all that bad after last week but this reveal was awesome. Now the big question for next week is what might be the real Gil about to go all horse back charge on the front runners. Just as well all our favs are stuck in town and erm, having tea most likely! |

| Honestly, the dramatic bits are so-so. For some reason, I can't take those moments seriously and Appare is, honestly, one of the most annoying characters in the show. For a genius, he sure is fucking dumb. It was obvious that "Gil" wasn't the real one from the get go. |

| Confused about the timeline of events in the first part. Gil is shown breaking through the barricade to get into the valley, but then shortly after we have Appare riding behind Gil seemingly before the barricade had been broken. Also we had characters question about where Appare was. I assumed this was when they were at the second barricade, but since the following scene was Appare with Gil that is not possible. Otherwise how tf would Appare have been able to get around the second barricade and catch up to Gil without anyone knowing? That first scene where Gil smashed the barrier had to have taken place after everything that came after up until Appare meets up with everyone. Super bizarre and confusing story telling. |
| Appare, a genius when it comes to mechanics, but completely useless at everything else. Seriously, the way he got caught in his own rope trap would've made even the legendary Wile E Coyote facepalm. XD Still, Xialian was kind enough to ask Appare to check out her car, which made him really happy. =) Hototo's stand against the brothers was really well done. He was defiant and emotional and despite the crowd getting pissed just because the race didn't go underway, Hototo's words got through to the brother's and they revealed themselves to be only using Gil's name just to make them more intimidating. Despite their Dick Dastardly style strategy during this episode, the brothers are actual decent guys. Despite that, Appare got back at them by dismantling their car without them noticing. Talk about karma! =P Since the brother's aren't Gil, it's going to be either Richard or the horse-back guy shown at the end of the episode who's actually Gil. I would be surprised in neither of these two aren't Gil, although I can't rule out this series pulling off a move like that. Either way, I'm sure the next episode will get us closer to finding out who "Gil" is... |

| So, though Appare's contraption worked,in the end it bogged down, but it was nice that Botha Al and Xialan helped them out. But still for Appre's contraption to be towed by Al and Xilana's car was just like a Prius towing a class 8 heavy truck for Xialan and for Al's it was more like a Porsche towing same size truck. So, those Thousand Three weren't really bad guys after all. |

I noticed that too and haven't gone back for a rewatch, but me not being the only one who was confused by that scene proves they could've done a better job with it. |
| I think that might be my favorite episode so far, I really enjoyed he whole episode. It's nice to see Appare growing some emotions, it's great character development. Him not wanting to be useless was priceless, Arigatou Xialian with providing him some use. I knew there was something off about Gil but, I didn't expect him to be a fake. I really liked how they defended Hototo. All these characters are really fucking great and I am still sad that this show isn't that popular. |

| Appare's car got a boost, and Gil is riding the planned dangerous path, leaving everyone behind for a trap plot. Playing with his character emotions to put others 1st instead of his own on top of an already risky mountainous race, that's some character development there. Thank God there's Al Lyon and Xialian to help out a friend in need. HEH, 2 of the Thousand Three (Dylan and TJ) are stuck in the long road together, the annoyance gets bigger by the moment. There's more to a race than just plain engineering, leading with a heart that's undecisive and making split-second decisions that will change the game. Hototo's thirst for revenge is high, but Gil isn't Gil, wow what a FAKE. What a low-brow revenge from Appare to the Bad Brothers, so the entire Thousand Three aren't as bad as people thought. Rules are meant to be broken anyway. Seems that Richard Reeseman who calls Gil by "Gil the Snake" is the next likely suspect. Is he the one Hototo SHOULD be looking for, we'll know soon. |

| I hope we'll get more backstory on Kosame soon. Looks like his mother was killed, similar to how Hototo lost his father. I hope Kosame's wisdom with his similar experience and older age can help Hototo to the right path. |

| Would never make it half way into this episode 7 unless i fast forwarded a whole lot. Guess i just wanted to give this show a chance but i give up here, i just can't shake the feels that this is not anime but kids cartoon, and not a very good one at that, but i guess for it's target audience it would work just as with the movie 'Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry'. 4/10 dropped. |
| Respect to Appare for helping the others despite initially being a selfish, rationale guy who in the past probably would have prioritised the race and also nice to see him realise how useless he is outside his expertise. Bit surpised there on 'Gil', really thought he would turn out to be the dad and not some random outlaws pretending to be his gang. |

| I see so the real Gil is still not present yet. This mean those people behind the race reward might hire them to kill all the racer. That trap before was just the prank of the "fake Gil" so I'm sure it wasn't meant to kill anyone beside ruining their day. |
