CloverWorks has transformed an ordinary manga and made a very special anime. It is faithful to the original but it amplifies and embellishes. This has become my favorite anime of the season! I love how honest Kita was about her motivation for joining the band: she has a weird crush on Ryou-senpai and wants to be closer to her and have a special relationship as "her girl". I'm not sure about the translation here and maybe she was really saying she wanted to be Ryou's daughter? Whatever, she obviously has a crush on her senpai, and it is very cute. That sort of thing happens when you have a director who has pull in the industry, gathers good people around this project AND likes the source material to boot. Clearly passion project. |

| What a cute show! I'm glad everyone made up and everything got resolved. Now time to practice as a band. A lot of character development with Bocchi in such a short amount of time |

| I think the show is trying too hard to be cute, while at the same time failing to stand out on its own. The premise is charming, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Bocchi's mental breakdowns and over-the-top reactions take up most of the screentime, which could be used to flesh out the other characters or show other aspects of Bocchi's life. Yes, her main problem is that she's an inrovert who wants to make friends which is fine, but focusing on one problem too much can make one lose track of the bigger picture and eventually even the problem itself. Pretty animation aside, Bocchi has very little to offer, even though it could do more. Hopefully the rest of the episodes can bring something new to the table. |

| Loved it! The episodes just keep getting better and the group is feeling much more rounded out now. Loving the different dynamics between the girls. This ep actually made me laugh out loud a couple times! On to the next! |

| Was actually about to drop after finishing 3rd episode but Kita came on the spot as a more interesting character with Nijika support is where things feels lighter and humoring. Definitely felt like Gotou dragged on her hikiko personality way too aggressive. |
| Kita is another interesting character in the show. I figured she'd be the runaway guitarist. Lol, she thought she was playing the guitar but it was actually a base. And there's a lot of difference in that. Anyways Bocchi is her teacher, so I guess she's in good hands? Good episode anyways. |

| I'm glad that Bocchi is developing communications skill at a decent rate unlike Komi from Komi Can't Communicate who developed too slow in my opinion (at least in season 1 she barely developed which to me got a little annoying, I haven't watched season 2 yet). Kita appears to be a good addition as she has a crush on Ryo so I doubt she will bail again and she's kind of the opposite of Bocchi so hopefully they will compliment and help each other grow (Bocchi in communication skills and Kita in learning the guitar). |

| Another great episode that made me smile all the way through. Also I remember seriously messing up my fingers when I first tried to play the guitar. I had no idea that was normal! And yes, the F chord sucks lol |
