I just read manga and watch anime in my free time. I don't consider them to be somehow superior to other forms of art and entertainment. As is the case with everything else, most of it is mediocre or worse. I normally try to avoid mediocrity; using a service like MAL helps me discover and organize the works which I (sometimes mistakenly) hope to be better than that, and spread knowledge of pieces that stand out by writing reviews and compiling Interest Stacks—do check them out!

If you wish to add me as a friend, please note that I rarely accept requests from strangers. If we hadn't talked before, please write something about yourself, your preferences in manga/anime, and why you think we'd be good friends to each other. If you don't write anything, your request will likely be declined immediately or be stuck in limbo for months or even years. I'm interested in meaningful conversation, not inflating the number of people on my friend list.
