Kinda dumb how it's airing outside of Japan before it airs there. Adult Swim licensed this didn't they? DigiCat said: The series is being produced by Adult Swim with Jason DeMarco serving as executive producer. The series premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block on October 2, 2022.[3] A potential televised run of the series in Japan itself currently remains in question.[4][5] In June 2022, Corus Entertainment confirmed through a press release that the series would also be broadcast on Adult Swim in Canada.[6]TsutanaiFuun said: i think it's not streaming in japan yet. when it starts streaming there then the japanese audio should be available. stop crying (not the op, I'm talking about some of the replies) the dub isn't even that bad. this show is no masterpiece anyways, even if the sub is better, it's not going to make that big of a difference. and again, there is nothing wrong with the dub. the deliveries are on point, the script is solid, and the voices match the characters. it's nothing special, but it really isn't bad either. you guys are just too used to thinking "english = shit, japanese = godly" |

oh come, the reputation was ruined more than a decade ago. the recent dubs have a lot more hits than misses, and even the misses are not nearly as bad as some of the shit you find in the early days of anime. plus, I think the best of dubs, is on par with the best of subs. it's just that you almost never see a bad sub, unlike how you see bad dubs every now and then now, and quit commonly in the early days. |

@KursedArcana Ooooooh someone's triggered to the point of coming to my profile. Even when you use quotes can't even get the wording right. Youre an adult, stop acting like a child cause you have to wait a few weeks to watch an anime series in your preferred way. You and your l cohorts were mocking and insulting dubs people who watch them. You were called out. Get over it. And Google what vitriol means. It's not an insult. Oh, so to you not being a fan of dubs and wondering why the dub was released first is equivalent to mocking them and people who are fans... yeah, very mature And of course all mature adults lock people out of their comment section for mearly having some different thoughts Ah well, guess i'll leave my final goodbye to you here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |

Like comparing standard animation quality of 2022 to 1990. Not fair. You have to look at things in context. Oohhh, it's not fair, huh? So sorry. I can compare the animation quality of Studio Ghibli films to a lot of modern anime and Studio Ghibli almost always comes out on top. But that wouldn't be a fair comparison because Studio Ghibli is older, huh? I'm sorry to tell you this, but most anime doesn't cater to a western audience for a reason. And western audiences like it that way. That's why it sells. C Danchi is doing terrible right now with low ratings on most anime scoring sights and not many views and not many people are watching it. Even more have dropped it due to the English dub being, well... Terrible. Most polls will tell you that anime fans prefer subs for many reasons. The voice almost are always better and fit the characters better. This show catering to a Western audience by doing the English dub first (If you can even call it that) hasn't made it very popular with a lot of people. And let's go back to Sailor Moon and Mew Mew Power. The point wasn't that they are bad dubs or anything, it was the catering to a Western audience by changing names to more western and even getting rid of gay couples to appeal to western audiences at the time. Sailor Moon was popular despite that but that was due to it mainly being the first anime of many people, which led them to other anime. It also started the magical girl series in a big way and got many women into anime. But the dub remains the same... A catering to western audiences by changing things for us. Sgt. Frog does much of the same. The jokes only make sense if you know many American movies and shows and the like. It's catering to us and thus it's not very popular as opposed to ones like Hetalia, which many more people know about that have been watching anime for at least a few years. Watching the Utena dub has some weird parts where you might be mistaken that the show takes place in America. That's catering to a western audience. Westerners don't want anime to cater to them as they want to view different cultures, and not just their own. That's not hard to understand why catering to western audiences isn't a good thing. Which is why I brought up Sailor Moon and Mew Mew Power. It has nothing to do with the quality, but with the changing of names and plot points to cater to Americans. |

I don't think the dubs for Sailor Moon and Mew Mew Power were very good when they catered to a western audience. No one here ever said anything about those series. That was the 90s and 00s. We are in 2022 now. Anime was not mainstream in the west, and those shows aren't even good comparisons to this considering the audience is kids/adolescents dub or not. Dubs are WAY different, way better than those days. The Viz SM dub is great. Thats catering to a western audience, which shows it's not a good thing. SGT. Frog is another example of catering to a Western audience, along with a lot of Funimation dubs being absolute cancer. That's old as hell, not fair comparison at all. Again still not comparable. Japanese media is highly influenced by western media. The show aired on Toonami. It's obviously going to be in English. Uzumaki might also do the same. They're still going to have Japanese cast. If you don't like the dub, don't watch. You can wait. |

Like comparing standard animation quality of 2022 to 1990. Not fair. You have to look at things in context. WTF is standered animation quality?? Animation quality doesn't change, the technology advances and gives you more options for different ways of animating, but a crap or even mid 2022 animation that is worse than a good 2022 animation won't be better than a good 90s animation, it'll be worse than that too And overly cataring to a western audience is never gonna work today, it worked in the 80s/90s (worked doesn't meant it's good) 'cause at the time there wasn't so much availibility with streaming and everything, but now that there is an overwhelming amount of choice, crappily catered dubs aren't gonna sell anymore, Dragon Maid dub which changed the dub script to include western politics therefor changing the meaning of certain scenes failed, Fullmetal Alchemist dub which adapted the script in dub in a way that was understandeble by a western audience but still keeps it's original meaning is still considered a masterpiece today |

Yeah... but it still takes place in Japan, with Japanese characters... like... I mean... it's fine that it's the typical anime style with english voices, I have trouble accepting it but I can. However, this actually takes place in Japan with japanese names and characters... yet... there's no Japanese..? This shit is always equally tiresome. |
