Tsugumi's captain is trash. He treats her like property than a real person...and he doesn't even hide it anymore.

I like how Musashi came and questioned what her captains means to her. Thanks to him and Kojirou, they were able to restore her confidence. About time she finally stood up for herself.

The guys got their bike back!

Poor Tsugumi. That bastard treated her like a trash. I'm glad Kojirou and Musashi were able to help her. That duel was very intense.

Well, the villagers are now safe and Tsugumi is ready for some new adventures with her new friends. They are a pretty cool trio. :)

Hideo Kosameda is such a bastard to take Tsugumi, which she did took him at face value of all that he is. Her older sister Tsubame was misused to her full potential, and Tsugumi looks about to be the same, and I'm glad that Musashi and Kojiro took her along with them for the ride out of Hideo's hands.

As for the townspeople of the Kosameda Band, their fate is as good as sealed to death under Hideo's manipulative leadership. The only way out for them is Tsugumi forming her courage to face him head on while the brothers do the rest of the work saving the townsfolk and against the Kodama demons coming at a fast rate.

"To lose is to gain", and that's Tsugumi's goal to objectify everyone to fight for their own lives. And as much as she left her old life behind, the new start signifies with the brothers.

The anime continues to be a downgrade against the manga.

I kinda hope Tsugumi can stand up on her own without getting help from Musashi and Kojirou. Not because I'm a feminist, I just don't want any woman to get in a way between Musashi and Kojirou's BL relationship.

What was that last scene???

Chibi Tsugumi was kawaiii.

I knew they would escape from the jail but the chain and key thingy was too much bullshit.

Man that leader or whatever is such a manipulative little shit, I don't think I've despised a character so much before, calling him trash would be an under-statement.

I LOL'd so hard when Kojiro and Mushashi burst through that painting, I was kind of expecting that and that seemed like the most cliche thing to happen and I was right.

It was satisfying when Tsugumi spit on his face. I wonder why she didn't just leave him there to die.

I'm glad that Tsumugi finally realized that she doesn't love her "lord", good for her. And we also find out that that scum wasn't her or Tsubame's real father, they were adopted. What happened to their parents and who tf made that scum the leader of the bushi band?

I feel like the dude was just a fucking coward, he wanted to send those villagers who have no previous combat experience to fight Oni's, like c'mon man wtf. I'm still mad Tsugumi didn't leave him to die there.

Also I was 500% expecting Kojiro and Mushashi to show up on their bike to save Tsugumi at the last moment. Orient won't be Orient without the cliche scenes.

Good episode overall. This one was better than the previous 4 for sure though.

Looking forward to see who is that man they showed at the end there.

Great episode! Tsumugi's delusional 'father' got absolutely wrecked by Tsumugi herself! She was saved from the oncoming wave of oni by Musashi and Kojiro! A new enemy has appeared...

Looking forward to the next episode!

The captain is such an over the top antagonist, created for the sole purpose of gaining an easy emotional response from the viewer. Yes, you hate the guy cause he's a piece of shit, but my god, does it come cheap. His whole character and the way he treats Tsugumi was ridiculous. Just terrible writing.

So, Kojiro skill to fish helped them escape the wooden prison? Interesting. Well, finally Tsugumi able to be freed from those cringe bushidan leader confinement who only care about himself and used wrong definition of bushi way to manipulate people for his own good. By battling with Tsugumi he proved to be weak. Why he's chosen to be their leader? I hope those bushidan kick those villainy bushi, choose that unknown strong bushi at the end and let the peace comes again to the village. So Tsugumi can having a solid reason to join the red-haired dude journey around the world with steel horse which drived by Kojiro, the low-ranking fisher-samurai.

For anyone asking why Hideo is the head of Kosameda bushidan, remember what bushi are irl. They value blood more than anything, so that simply means that Hideo is the son of the previous head.

Yeah, he became asshole too soon. I don't know if I would want to see even slower pace in this anime but it would be much better (on paper or manga hehe) if this episode was two episodes and making him nice for entire episode, making MCs thinking that they could really join him.
Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.109/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.198/? - weekly)
- MARRIAGETOXIN (Ch.114/? - weekly) | Machi and Oboro (Ch.19/? - biweekly)
- Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Ch.82/? - biweekly)
- Monochrome Days (Ch.11/? - biweekly)
Anime recommendation:
- Deca-Dence (Finished) | Wave, Listen to Me! (Finished)
- If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die (Finished)
- Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (Finished)

That bastard Hideo Kosameda has clearly lost his mind as he plans to sacrifice the villagers near the castle to fight against the Oni approaching them when they are clearly not trained to fight. Not only he has manipulated Tsugumi, but also the villagers into never standing up to him. With a little encouragement from Kojiro, Tsugumi was able to stand up to Kosameda and beat his ass so that the villagers can get to safety. They also got their ride back.

Orient manga does have a lot of dialogue, be it inner dialogue or narrative, so I'd like to see that too. The swordfight is supposed to be better as well, not some static move like the anime shown. However, I can also see why they're rushing things, because they want to reach a certain part of the story ASAP.

It was in fact extraordinary. The animation is a major positive, and I really appreciated how detailed each character was.
