| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The Goblin Knights are thankfully OK, and so is Fena...but the pirate mercenary group Rumble Rose that handled the White Marginal's kidnapping, and it's quite the proposition from their client: the mysterious British Royal Army's Colonel Abel whom is dying to meet her, his princess La Pucelle (that is her mother Helena). The infodump of the lore of Fena Houtman and Eden is this: it's not surprising that Abel would know of Fena's honored mother, and this legendary treasure that they're seeking could rule the world, and it all lies in Eden. Both them and the Goblin Knights have a clear indication of where this is going, but the latter without Fena will not reach Eden. To make things worse for the Goblin Hunters, Shitan's older brother Kei is on his way, and they cannot turn their back on the law. It's treason if otherwise, and Yukimaru insists beause of his childhood history with Fena. Grace isn't happy about how Abel is obsessed with her, and tries to kidnap her out of Abel's hands, and he has that distinction of an antagonist who knows what's going on, and Grace has definitely caught the message that there's no El Dorado, but only Eden. All parties already know where to go, the only thing they're left with is Fena for their guidance. So sail the high seas and reach the elusive Eden. |

| This episode made wonder, how many legends they will stack up. Now is Eden and a Imperial Regalia of Japan, I wonder if will put the real Shangri-La in the mix. Or go so but so far that will include Atlantis. Now Jeanne grave is lost for good. At least Abel is somewhat clean about his obsession. Now I look forward for the Yukimaru raid next episode |

| I love how they’re mixing European and Asian mythology. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if we see Atlantis in the mix. Really cool episode. I can’t wait to see the love triangle with Abel and Yukimaru lol. |

| I love the fact that even with all of that manipulation from Abel, Fena hasn't lost faith in her friends and it's the same with everyone, they care about her equally and don't want one of them to just leave them like that. They do care about her but at the same time, they can't go against the Law of that island. Great to see that Yukimaru would do anything to get her back. He doesn't wanna let her go. These pirates are really dangerous and I don't trust Abel either. I hope Fena will be alright in all of this commotion. |

| I'm hoping for some love triangle between Abel and Yukimaru. But it seems that Abel is more obsess with Fena's mother.. idk.. Btw, I would also love to see more of the Rumble Rose gang.. They are so cool! Can't wait for the next episode >0< |
| Damn this episode was so good, I think it was the best episode so far after the first one, they really know how to use the good production quality to make tense scenes actually feel tense, and know how to tell the story properly, the director is doing a great job. And the mysteries are actually very intriguing there's so much that we don't yet they explain it a way that keeps thing interesting. In a season full of trash anime with some good ones this is definitely one of the better ones and I think it is quite underrated, and deserved to be way more popular. |

| Abel is creepy. It seems like he is gonna use Fena as a stand in for her mother. I love how Yukimaru put fear into Shitan by telling him he'd kill anyone who got in his way of saving Fena. |
| For now this show is giving me a hard time to think about who truly are the antagonists. Is it Abel or the Goblin Knights? Or will it be Grace and the Rumble Rose crew.. Yukimaru decided to take the route of treason and is heading for Fena. So much to look forward to I hope and so much to discover as they keep taking interesting points from various mythology. |

| Well, they managed to get out of the cave by using the remaining explosives but thanks to Shitan, they can't rescue Fena. He already sent an message that they found the information that leads to Eden. Which is their main goal and the reason why they're together with the Houtmans. Fena is just a tool for their clan. Anyway, a lot of information dumped on us. Seems like we won't be getting any action soon and the Sadistic and horny Abel is getting some quality time with Fena. Forgot to mention that Yukimaru's VA was on point, incredibly done. |

| I am really glad at the direction this episode took. It was just what the show needed at this point. Now each party has more depth and we don't know for sure whose loyalties lie where. Though it's pretty clear that most, if not all, of the ninjas will eventually turn back to help Fena. Additionally, it was a relief to get a hint that the entire El Dorado business was just a red herring. It didn't really seem to fit with the rest of the setting, and finding out that the coordinates lead somewhere else points to possibilities which might end up working out way better. Also, we get some more lore, questions, and answers, which are being paced out quite nicely. Hopefully the show can keep up this quality in the second half. |

| Oh boy. The threads unfolded so fast that its even more tangled now. Don't know who's on the bad side now. Yukimaru sure has fallen hard for Fena while his crew stay loyal to the clan. And damn Kei is coming!! Abel seems to be obsessed with something while Pirate Cap. Anne has fallen out with him. He really did her dirty with that princess carry. With how the things are going on, we're gearing up for a three way four way showdown with Yukimaru vs Abel vs Anne vs Kei. |

| Damn, the voice acting on Yukimaru when he was telling Shitan to fuck off was amazing. Fantastic episode! We find out more about our parties over here. The Goblin Knights that we know might not be these cold blooded assassins, but those other Goblin Knights like Kei might not be the same case. Cody is really mysterious, I wonder what his deal is. So Fena's mother is Helena who is also La Pucelle or Jeanne d'Arc? Also curious about Grace and her history with Abel. There's a lot of questions and I am looking forward to the answers. The pirates were readying their cannons so I am also ready for some naval warfare. Since Yukimaru is sneaking around there, I am also ready for some ninja samurai assassination shit lmao. Really looking forward to the next episode. |

| It turns out that the goblin knights don't actually need Fena anymore and, Abel definitely has some strange uses of Fena. Yukimaru, on the other hand, has decided to pursue Fena on his own, neglecting his clan. Everyone seems to have their own goals to achieve and, Fena's just the center of all this. |

| Starting to get some Golden Kamuy vibes with all the different sides and character motivations. Abel was as slick as expected when he met Fena. It’ll be interesting to see how things go now that Yukimaru is a fugitive and the only one trying to save Fena. |

I mean I get Fena isn't particularly bright, but he did an awful job at manipulating her. First, he claimed the Goblins mercilessly kill women and children, even though he knows she saw the twins refraining from hurting the Rumble Roses specifically for that reason. Besides, when the Goblins entered the catacombs they were sympathetic towards women and children who had to die there, although one might argue she wasn't completely conscious at that time. She still saw her friends getting buried alive, which kinda proves the complete opposite of what he's saying. Secondly, he stated they're using her to find the one piece. But if that's true then why should she trust him instead? Idk, it might be just me but I think if he wants to convince her of anything he shouldn't disqualify himself in the process. |

Really looking forward to the next episode. I agree! Yukimaru's voice actor is doing a stellar job, especially in that critical moment with Shitan. You can definitely feel all the emotions he is going through, not just for Fena but with the team too. Historically, Joan of Arc was also known as the Maid of Lorraine ('La Pucelle de Lorraine'). So in this case, they might be dropping hints that Jena's mother, Helena, is a descendant of Joan, or maybe even Joan herself. I can't help in thinking that Sanada is secretly working with Abel to obtain the sword. It seems that Grace will attack Abel's ship, so we can strongly expect the next episode to be action packed and something to look forward to. I have this compulsion in hoping that Fena will jump off the ship in order to escape, with Yukimaru being there to catch her and embrace her, and claiming he is relieved that she is safe. Also, unless I've missed something, does Jena have feelings towards Yukimaru? It is explicit he does for her though. |

I'm even scared to imagine how it would look gender flipped. |

| I found this episode phenomenal and easily the best so far. Dripping with atmosphere, lore, aesthetically a treat. Even the opposing ships on the stormy high seas looked fantastic. Really more episodes like this and getting to know the knights' unit better will lend the anime a really unique/singular feel. It's starting to really feel like a wild pirate action adventure movie, of which there aren't even many great live action examples in recent years. |

| Yukimaru was amazing this episode! I was hoping that Abel wouldn't be a bad guy but looks like he is, I really love Morikawa's voice, wish he would have more main character roles rather than voicing villains. |

| Really getting tired of these one-dimensional characters. Yukimaru's only character trait is to be a Fena simp, Abel sucks at manipulating people (unless you are an idiot or just Rumble Rose's captain) and this Grace woman sure is quite sensitive despite being a pirate. Did she seriously think Abel felt something for her? Man, she really was used in all sense of the word. |
