| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Watched this pre-aired on KADOKAWAanime official YT Channel. Pretty decent episode, not much to say here. Just enjoyable to see 501st Squadron again, especially Yoshika and Mio. It ended with a cliffhanger, so I'm intrigued to see what will happen next. New eyecatch is cool too:  David Production is here, but their level isn't so much better than Silver Link 2016. Still a lot of CGI in the dogfights and decently drawn backgrounds. Not a JoJo\Fire Force level at all, but I don't care honestly. Just give me some cute girls and cool action scenes. |
| It was good to see the main cast again. I see Yoshika hasn't changed one bit, always helping others. The Neuroi this time is quite terrifying, hiding in an Iceberg. It would be great to see some of the characters help out Yoshika. |

| Yay! The pre-air version of the first episode with English subtitles is finally out. Hooray! As the first episode you could also avoid summarizing the story behind the "Strike Witches" anime series, just to give the story a few more minutes, oh well! The fact that the protagonist immediately throws herself into the fray makes me turn up my nose a little, because it seems as if they made it too easy. Very good quality of drawings and animations, although the quality of the video is not excellent. The same goes for the transition from CG to hand-drawn drawing, you hardly notice the transition, wow! I can't wait to see the official version of the first episode and to see the second one too. Of course I also want to hear the opening and the ending as soon as possible. |

Looking forward to the rest. Also like the little development between Sakamoto and her Sargent underling, cute. Only in Strike Witches will a man get flustered not by the lack of pants, but when a girl lets her hair go loose. |

| Seems they're taking a serious vibe for this show, at least somewhat more serious than the previous Strike Witches shows I've seen before in the past. Anyways, it's a neat start imo with the franchise's themes returning. They also had this set up for more storytelling but it remains to see how far they got the rest of the season. Looking forward to more. |

| I had to make sure that I wasn't seeing things, but Mio was wearing.....uh, trousers, right? I think I need to sleep this nightmare off, now. X_X Joking aside, it's great to have the girls from the 501st Fighter Wing back on air after so long. It didn't take too long for the Neuroi to make their move, though, and what a formidable enemy to deal with from the get-go. Seeing a Neuroi of that size is certainly intimidating, but give credit to Miyafuji for going headlong into this fight, but I think it's certain that she need all the help that she can get in order to take the iceberg Neuroi down. Production values were good for this episode and the OP/ED songs was pretty nice, too. Overall, this was a pretty great start. ^_^ |

| I've been waiting for so long! I'm sooooo happy to see Strike Witches again after so many years, HOLY COW! First episode was 11/10, we got Yoshika's "I wanna protect them" and Sakamoto's laugh in the 1st ep, like in the previous seasons. I can't wait for next episodes, my personal AOTS and maybe even AOTY. (I'm so hyped about this lmao, maybe I should've rewatched whole series before this, might do it before next ep I guess) |

Apart from Yoshika's schoolmates, see the nurse in S1E9: There's no indication that she's a witch. Anyway, Mio usually wore her school swimsuit to battle. And since the character can't fly, there is not much opportunity to position the camera at the right angle, so she may as well avoid catching a cold. Yes, I've been studying the subject. |

| Wait David Production is doing this? Anyway the CGI during the flying was very noticeable but all the budget had to go to the pantyshots as expected. I havent seen the original squad in such a long time, its nice to have them back. |

| was debating on watching this since i've only watched like half of this series lol but somehow i feel it really doesn't matter at this point was shocked to see one of the girls wearing pants now that's shes retired she can put them on lol that's like the one thing that's stuck with me all these years "None of these girls wear pants yo!" episode went by quick so that's a good sign |

| This was terrific! How can the score be so low? The girls are back! Yes the plot is pretty cliché and the "logic" fails entirely... But that's OK!! The art is great, the characters are true and it is setup for a wonderful series! And Francesca Lucchini is MY waifu! Stay back, you cannot have her! |

And that pisses me off But on the other hand all girl asses makes me really happy =P  Hehehehehe Hopefully all my girls will soon be together and have some lesbian fun. I wanna see my little perverted lesbian angel Yoshika in action again. Chasing her girlfriend Lynette around,,,YEEEEEEEEEEEEES I am a bit disappointed. This is Strike Witches I demand more Yuri!!! But its only the first episode I am sure the Yuri will shine as always |

| I wouldn't lie.. i really love this series.. before they even announce road to berlin. i've watched the series repeatedly, especially the movie. such a great series and i'm really glad that the 1st episode exceed my expectation. can't wait for the next episode! |

| After binge watching seasons 1 and 2 of Strike Witches I have finally made it to the road to Berlin!! Have to say its fantastic our hero's still dont need pants to save the world, but there is a few things suspicious going on. The Neuroi are making iceberg stealth attack vessels and Ms Sakamoto is missing her eye patch and also wearing pants! Damn, I have high hopes for this season!! |

| First, I was questioning the CG, but then I saw how SEAMLESS the transition is between 2D and 3D. AMAZING ON THAT ACCOUNT!!!! But yeah, 3D isn't spectacular, but if you're a Strike Witches fan you're probably used to it at this point. The opening is pretty good. I feel like I'll love it after several listens, visually it's clean but nothing too impressive. I did not expect the animation to look this good, the character acting is top notch. Yoshika's got stronger! Hooray! ...but... Mio is resigning. Sigh. (Ah yes, my favorite ship, the "Doge.") That rackety striker unit is giving me some vibes like pic related...  Pretty decent first episode. I didn't expect it to end off a cliffhanger. Hope this means that this season will be a lot less episodic. Once again, absolutely adored the character acting. Also, the outro song is pretty badass. Even though I'm pretty much used to the CGi we get in action scenes, it doesn't mean I don't want better. IIRC Brave Witches had less CG but the 2D action was still average for the most part. |

| David pro is taking a good franchises. Its nice seeing the aerial sequence animation from them. The aerial combatant action sequences were my highlight so far. For me, its rather smooth and really intriguing to see that there was no complain about that at all. The art and characters design looked very nice, and the storyline seemed very promising. Even though i may have a bit confused since it doesn't follow up the movie aftermath stories. David pro used the different route after the movie. I thought they might've already united in St.Tronde to prepare for the Karlsland liberation effort. But, its started out with Miyafuji in the Medical School of Helvetia and where the heck was Shizuka at? Then suddenly another species of Neuroi appeared as a new enemies. Sakamoto voice already surprised me. The different tone somehow kinda off-target beyond some lines. But, her laugh already wiped out my worry in a second glimpse. Nice mark. The famous panty shot was still intacted, while the personality of the girls were still there to be enjoyed. Overall this is really a decent first episode for me. So lets see how far they handled the story telling, that looks alike ate two episodes as the introduction parts. |
