Personally, I thought this episode had goofy humor with the character chemistry. Iris is looking cute as hell. Vulcan is pretty cool though as the engineer. The new ED theme song is okay I guess. |

| Not a fan of the new OP and ED, visuals and the song itself were weak compared to the previous ones. Ep itself was meh, intro since they're recruiting for new members and tried with the red headed guy who's a selfless inventor who wants to revive the extinct or close to extinction animals in which he doubts the 3rd squad for murder, seems NEP they do plan on killing him for not joining their 3rd squad lol, Shinra's got some weird ass powers cause of that adola thing. Well the one good thing in this episode was the free loader chik, she's fcking hot! |

| Hmm, not really invested in this new arc thus far. At least I enjoyed the comedy a bit this week. Dr. Giovanni though looks like a quite interesting individual. |

| New OP is awful but when you compare it to the first one, it's almost offensive how bad it is. You just can't show piece of shit like this after that banger... As if that wasn't bad enough, scientist guy is really off putting, episode was dreary overall and ED sucked as well to top it off. This series turned out to be a dark horse for me but with an episode failing on so many levels, the flame is almost dead. |

| Guess we'll be seeing Sho very soon and he's, not surpringly, a lot like Shinra. Seems Victor is the same guy who was working with Joker. He's obviously suspcious but will join the team anyway? That projector was cool! Wonder what role Lisa will play as we didn't see her in the new OP (which sounded great imo. But didn't match the visuals as well as the first OP) We even learned more about Captain Giovanni of the 3rd. Wonder exactly what triggers Shinra's spidey sense. |

| I really like the OP song, but damn the visuals are ridiculous... I really don't like the scientist guy or the way his voice is. Vulcan however, I do like.. I hope he will join the 8th eventually. Seems the 3rd's captain wants to have Vulcan 6 feet under. Also Lisa is super sexy! <3 |

| New OP... I like the song, I like the visuals but together they're not that great. It's like the music is too powerful for the visuals. New ED is ok. Now I'm going to miss the old ones even more. | Hmm i expected Arrow to be an elite but to think that she was of such high rank within the white clads. So Shinra's brother is the commander huh. To think that the new scientist assigned to the team was victor though. Vulcan though is quite the character though i do appreciate his blunt nature. The captain of the 3rd though sure is a rather enigmatic character. Its perhaps a good idea not to take Iris to a workshop the next time given her ability to be drawn towards buttons lol. The invention that Vulcan showed to the team though was pretty impressive both in terms of achievement and at showing how vibrant the world was in the past. At the same time it showed just how determined he was at making his dream come true despite the challenge associated with it. Overall an interesting ep that did well to both introduce Vulcan and his friends as well as expand upon existing characters like Arrow and Shinra's bro within the white clad. Looks like things are starting to get interesting with the 3rd captain's assault on Vulcan as well as Victor's plans from the inside. |

| I am not a fan of the new opening and ending songs, but I really like the visuals/videos for them. Pretty impressive and I like where the story is heading after seeing them. |

When you go through 17 minutes of exposition, interactions, and conversations that are either too long with only their mouths moving and awkward prolonged character reactions, the payoff of 3 minutes seeing shinra fight with his feet isn't super satisfying. Even in the recent episode where shinra stops that arrow going through the sky from hitting Benimaru (which in my opinion is one of the best scenes so far), it's a little slow. Not trying to disrespect people in the industry for doing what they can without good animation directors, just telling it how it is. |

And as the series goes on it get's even worse, with characters not moving in situations other than highly intensive action scenes, and even then jarring jump cuts happen, with nearly nonexistent flow dude are you expecting Fate Grand Order Babylonia kind of animation? that anime has a huge list of talented animators thats why unlike Fire Force that is done by a few talented animators only that can only focus on the action sakuga part and i do not remember any character animation sakuga expert they hired here on Fire Force except the Tamaki crying scene back in that Rekka arc |

So then shinra brother is alive and now he is on the side of the bad guys, this thing about "the familiar of the protagonist it's alive and also a villain" is something that has never been seen! It's incredible that so many people complain about the isekai for not having ideas when they only repeat a few cliches of 6 years ago when the shonen to repeat the same plots and the same stories all always with the same focus of 30 years ago. |

| show has picked up since the last arc ,i been enjoying it a lot more and the awkward feeling storyboard and pacing hasn't bothered me as much. op and ed are decent visuals for the OP are super lacking though but i'm not gonna complain because the first OP is one of the best ones this year so topping it is a hard feat but coldrain huh.. sure |

| "Hero", "Hero", "Hero", "Hero". This guy gives Black Star, Rokuro, and just about any other annoying shounen character a run for their money. The more someone screams about them being a hero, the less I'm inclined to believe it. Once an episode is more than enough, thanks. The evil brother thing is another obvious whatever. Anyways, the more I see of this show, the more I'm irritated because unlike most mediocre or average shows which are just that, average, this one feels like it could have been something, reminders of which pop up every now and then, but through its consistent failings, and cliches, it sinks deeper into the hole mediocrity and averages out to the same "mediocre" rating, instead of being average or mediocre the whole way through. It has great character designs (minus those stupid fucking teeth), and a servicable story, but god damn if it doesn't drop in cliche after cliche, trope after trope, and issue after issue only to be tied together with spurts of lazy writing. Shame about the OP, the song is fine, but the animation, while not bad, isn't good as far as OPs are concerned. It feels like an amalgamation of random, unrelated clips, in a choppy manner, some of which are mediocre in animation/ |

| Oh yes! The new OP song is so dope. Shame the visuals don't complement it in the slightest. The new ED, on the other hand, is decent but I prefer the previous one over it. OK episode overall. The random comedy with Arthur was nice (to my surprise) and Vulcan looks like an interesting character but with this series, I will wait a few more episodes to have a proper opinion of him. And on a side note... man, I really wasn't expecting Shou to be such a midget xD The problems of having a kid as your commander, I guess. |
| I love this new intro, definitely a lot more creative and special than the first! However, both the new Op & ED are sadly not as good as the previous ones. I really liked the start of the Op with the rock music and the cool visuals but then it just becomes fairly normal. I'll miss Mrs. Green Apple ;-; Anyway, an interesting episode for the week. Question marks all over the new scientist of Team 8, I feel like they're just setting him up as a follower of the Evangelist as a false alarm. On the other hand, Vulcan seems like a fun addition. Kindhearted individual with a grand dream, that really is some wonderful dream honestly and that little creation of his was really awesome! xD @ that scene of asking for tea for guests only to use it a projectile right afterwards. "Call me Vulcan or some shit" was pretty hilarious as well. Iris was hella cute this episode too, good treat! On to the more serious bits now. Looks like Giovanni is up to no good and I'm curious on the truth behind the disappearances of Vulcan's father and grandfather. I hope we get an explanation on Shinra's leg serving as a messenger sometime also, things just feel so off like this. Off to a pretty good start for the arc. I'm looking forward to seeing how Shinra and co will ultimately bribe Vulcan into the 8th. |
