I had watched Digibro's "The Great Isekai War of Fall 2019--Round 1" video, where he talks about this show, and I think I'm starting to agree with him: the humor feels cheap, one-note, and predictable. Even Konosuba felt more...varied.

So you predicted that he would destroy the entire town? Seems legit.

In most cases, the MAL Average Scores don't mean anything, here is a question: were the works made before 2000 all shit?
Why are they so damn scarce in the Top 50? Think about how MAL is quite literally a filtered amount of the Anime fanbase.

Here's a timeline of the Top 15 in which you can check that, almost always, the scores are affected by the freshness, popularity and other factors that have nothing to do with quality.

Aside from that joke (which wasn't really a surprise, since the joke was similar to the 1st ep where he goes overboard destroying a slime), I feel like I could've predicted a lot of these jokes if I tried. I think this anime is best enjoyed if you don't try to predict the jokes.

Well, I've finished the first volume and I challenge you to try.

Well for obvious reasons of resembling the other digital litter, a "twist" with main character being overpowered to begin with... kinda defeats any possible decent development in-universe, and just leaves this series as a mere comedy. Degrading into a show. I will personally take a look where is it heading in the third episode (before singing it critique), since they did put some effort into directing and animation.

But this IS mere comedy. This is a goofy parody of the isekai genre.

Title is Shincou no Yuusha (cautious hero)

more like zero chill hero,Seiya is str8 savage hahaha

Giving this an 8 for comedic value. Also pretty sure he fixed the series title. The real title is HERO HAS NO CHILL

I starting to think that Seiya's stats are not 10k as well if he is impossibly cautious then he would not reveal the stats to this shows viewers! lolz!
5/5.

Another fun episode, loved how Seiya faked everything from the start, and like the Goddess I was fooled. We can see how overpowered Seiya is, and his personality is what stands out the most., and that's also why I am enjoying this.

Lol. Facial expressions of the goddess are still priceless.

I thought this Chaos Machina will stick around for longer, but oh well. The hero, while cautious, is somewhat stupid, he could have easily taken the remains to an empty area and do all the explosions there. I get that it's supposed to be funny but at the same time it doesn't align with being careful all that much. Or does he care only about himself and doesn't give a damn about people around him?
I'd like to see his background and inner thoughts. So far he just looks cool but not particularly likable as a character.

So Seiya is the perfect counter for that world, if that first general is anything to go by, its going to be a battle of who is more careful.

"Bye sick-man" hahahaha so good xD

And in the end, he destroyed the town and got the money from the family.

First boss down. I guess there are some downsides to being 慎重すぎる. He fucked over the village he saved, but maybe not as much as he would have otherwise. He didn't even seem to care that he literally killed someone (unless I'm missing something?). I'm guessing every fight will end the same way with him completely destroying his enemy without ever really being in danger. I'd be surprised if it was any different. I liked this episode less than the first, but it's not bad or anything.

Ristarte VA killing it. And the animation is decent. I don't really like the art style, but there is a lot of character put in to how they are animating it with the facial expressions and litte comedic off-model cuts.

Aside from character interaction, the story is still just standard isekai OP hero kills bad guys which I'm not really in to unless there's some interesting twist which I don't see coming.

Slight improvement over the first episode. Still quite middling for me. Bit of fun but nothing more. 5/10.

Shows what you know.

One point I like to immediately bring up is
"Arifureta has the protagonist fight for 50 uninterrupted seconds without saying a word. That alone makes it better than 99% of action anime."
The exploration of the first labyrinth builds a strong dynamic between Hajime and Yue, and that remains as despite his harem he only ever considers them a hindrance to his relationship with Yue. It's rough around the edges, the CG is awkward, the first episode is an utter mess, too much focus is put on the original group, the monster designs are almost all literally just real animals with slight tweaks and there's some out of place "lecherous cameraman syndrome". Behind that though, is a much more absorbing experience than Cautious Hero.

It's only trash if you only watch the first episode, if you watch the dub, or if technical polish matters more than anything else.

This is so funny! I love it!!
I love the 2 main characters :) I'm worried because I thought it's a cliche isekai with harem but based on Seiya's attitude.. Nothing to worry! And heroine "Yui-like" (K-On) is funny! I enjoy this :)

Also, you can really get higher points or something with just doing push up? I thought it's about killing demons / villains to increase the level etc (I don't know anything about this kind of world /game)

Sorry to say but this feels like a poor man konosuba. It also doesn't do itself favor when it tries to be serious like 1st half of the ep. Also Mc is very very bland compare to charismatic mc like kazuma.I think it tries to hide its blandness i.e.world and mc personality behind the cheap parody mask. Also humor basically feels like same from ep 1 and i think its not going to change.Anyway i'll keep eye on it maybe i will be proven wrong.

Didn't expand too much on the first episode, but remained enjoyable nonetheless.
I wonder when other characters will be introduced to compliment the Ristarte and Seiya dynamic. We may end up with a whole other Konosuba lineup.

I haven't laugh a single time during these two episodes. This is a poor Konosuba ripoff. The MC is so generic and uninteresting, it's painful to watch. The healing godess lady is annoying in a stupid way, a very bad attempt to copy Aqua character. Also there is too much game meta stuff with skill names and stat sheets, the series overall lacks charm and is very generic. The slapstick gimmick that is supposed to be funny (overkilling everything by the MC in multiple final blows) got old very fast.

I'd rather watch Kemono Michi which at least I find absurd and hillarious.

The story will be interesting when it comes to the second world, where a sad story between the couple will reveal. I don't know whether or not the anime will progress this far. I strongly believe it is wrong for people to think this is a comedy show.

Good to know, yet at the same time it's a weird assessment since this show does everything tpp dress itself as a comedy, but the result is just a forced dry humor. And as I'm not really an isekai person there is evidently nothing interesting for me in this show.

the animation of rista is funny and the only saving grace for me. it feels like the try to emulate konosuba but dont the WHY it was so funny and enjoyable.

Seiya just went into berserker mode. He has gotta be clueless about what he did to the village after he defeated Chaos Machina. Question. Is Ristarte just some dumb blonde airheaded bimbo chick that may have summoned the wrong shujinko (main protagonist) into the Divine Realm? As a goddess, she is a novice, a noob, and mostly, a thorn in Seiya's side.

LoL i like this humourous chemistry between Seiya and Listarte, as usual the goofiness comedy with hilarious face expression from them were lit.

The ED is surprisingly catchy and nice.

Well, "overleveled" strategy that He used is oftenly used tho, especially to defeat bosses yet he's a little "bit" "overleveled", he's really cautious after all XD.

yet, he's even used ultimate skill to destroy remaining of the boss, and end up destroying town... haha XD.

Turned dark pretty quickly but also quickly recovered because of this hero's weirdness, I mean Jamie got incinerated, poor fruit shop owner lol. Half the town's also gone and he wandered off with a citizen's money, what a hero. Poor Goddess, her worth's been reduced to a medicinal herb.
