Watching NGE doesn't fucking make you an anime critic, SPECIALLY if you were born after 2000.

The Manga Adaptation of SAO Progressive is the Equivalent of a Fanfic.

If I could give Kindaichi a 11, I would, indubitably.

Childhood

My first contact with anime was with Yu-Gi-Oh! and Beyblade when I was at my first year on elementary school(I had 6 years old.), I would watch it on TV, at that time, I used to ask my mother to buy me Yu-gi-oh! Cards or a Beyblade(That only the rich kids had.) every single day I was going back to home from school, the monster that I most liked the design was "Summoned Skull", I still like the design, after that I lost contact with anime for some years.

Adolescence
Until I was something like 10 years old, and I watched Zatch Bell(Something like 20-30 episodes, the earlier ones.), Inuyasha(A really small amount), HxH(Watched the Zoldyck Family arc and start of Heavens Arena, I fucking loved it.), DBZ, Pokemon(A good amount and in varied moments.) and Naruto(I've rewatched the first 70 episodes something like 13 times, the publisher on Brazil had no other episodes translated at the time.) on TV, but it was all on small parts cuz the TV show just brought a part of those series, at that time I would talk with a friend on elementary school about Zatch Bell, good times, I kept watching them until I had somewhat of a internet skill(12-14 years old) and I was really interested on how those series that I watched when I was a kid ended, that was when I also watched a bunch of random popular animes, Death Note, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Bleach, and Highschool of the Dead, those are the ones that I can remember.
After watching those popular animes, my watching frequency really dropped, cuz I was busier playing Wc3, LoL, Dota... One thing that for certain made my interest surge again was the Wc3 anime maps, specially "Choice Battle", that map had tons of new anime material for me to watch, it made me watch stuff like Toaru, Fate/stay night, Reborn, Soul Eater, but what made me watch animes was mostly random things as well, my reason for watching SAO was a random facebook post that showed Kirito being arrogant after the first boss fight, and someone commented that he changed his attitude after that, it got me really interested, and I ended having one of my best moments watching an anime, the first arc of SAO is genuinely magical, it's so cozy and immersive I rewatch it every year.

Early Adulthood
After all those things, my anime watching frequency was something like an anime or two each month, pretty okay for a gamer, I got to know a somewhat famous anime youtube channel, "Imorrivel", those guys made me watch a lot of different animes, stuff like Hyouka, FMP!(Thank God for that!), Natsume Yuujinchou and Monogatari, that was also the time I made my MAL profile(2016), after that I started following a blog called "IntoxiAnime" and got a lot of material to watch from the conversations from there, I think that's all I can remember for now :P.

Statements

The more I watch the Classics(Ashita no Joe, The Kindaichi Files, Prince of Tennis, Detective Conan, the Gundam series...), more my admiration for them furthers, the Quality(The surgical OSTs, Innovative sound effects, Developing emotions on the act[for instance, a rage], Amazing Comic timings, Subtle romances, and even Culture) you see on those Classics isn’t really on the industry anymore, you should definitely check them!

If an anime has made you laugh and you then shit on it, you are a hypocrite. If an anime had the competence to change my emotions, I just can't give it a bad score, I may can't explain why the anime was good, but I won't rate it low just because of my linguistic inability(And don't be fooled, I've yet cried to an anime. Not anymore, thanks to Major.).

I love older anime too, but I don't know if this one feels too long in its original version due to being a slice of life and having that amount of episodes

Really good tbh, it's one of the best remakes I've seen, they upgrade the visuals and made them feel very shiny which fits the show and then they only pick the best chapters to adapt so it feels shorter but better in the end
