Welp, my initial read on Sun was that he was playing Joro the entire time to get him hooked up with two girls while goading him on with the "best friend" card. After all, he acts as if he understands Hinata and Council Prez's feelings, but acts almost superficially dense, and has that almost "too nice to be real" tone in his voice. Guess that prediction was off the mark, but it isn't entirely impossible at this point. I don't trust the guy.

New prediction: Sumireko is actually really attractive and hides it with that hairstyle and those "ugly" glasses. In the OP, I'm pretty sure she is the last girl with the blue eyes in the white dress during the baseball segment where all of the female characters show up one by one. Which would lead to the question: Why hide it? Perhaps it is one of her ways of screwing with Joro, so that she can pull off a classic transformation known in stereotypical romcoms.

Anyway, solid episode. I didn't expect much going into this anime, but I can say it now has my attention.

This episode triumphs the absolute fuckery that is Episode 1 and takes it up a notch further. Now I'm legit scared about that bench of the red thread of fate.

Pansy sure is still that stalker-face character that likes Joro, BUT...to think that his best friend Sun-chan will like Pansy...is such a fucked-up thought. NOW replicating AND reciprocating all 4 friends, Joro is in a stalemate, and more than just a love pentagon. He's just more than your unlucky protagonist that one after another, he's already had death flags raised before he knew it.

This pentagon of coincidences sure is a true-to-life phobia waiting to happen.

I must highlight two things, First and most important, Sumireko is the best girl in this anime, she is the most beautiful, I love her eyes when they can be seen through her glasses, her somewhat sharp side is something that little by little I'm getting used to it, but now I think that she loves Joro 100%, although after seeing the end of this episode, my only question is why did she set up Joro so that Sun, Himawari and Cosmos saw everything? What does she know that Joro ignores?
And second RIP Joro, first because Sun loves Sumireko and the worst thing is that after talking with Joro, Sun asks Himawari and Cosmos for help, both girls are devastated and very angry with Joro, since Sun misunderstood his advice, but the worst part is that Sun gets very aggressive when Sumireko was chatting with Joro.
It is starting to hurt to see how Sun, Himawari and Cosmos abuse Joro's friendship for their own convenience and then we see how these bitches turn their backs on Joro upon learning that Sun loves Sumireko, I hope that in the next episode the drama do not be dense.
For a moment when bench-kun appeared, I thought Sun would tell Joro that he loves him, thankfully, Sumireko was the person, but even then that moment was hilarious.

Today we had Opening and Ending, the Op is very fun and highlights the beauty of Sumireko too well, it also seems that Himawari, Cosmos and Sumireko will not be the only girls we will see in this anime and another detail is that the Op shows for a moment the "dark side" of Joro and Sumireko, which makes them look like a perfect match.
I have a big doubt, in the Ending we see the three FMCs with beautiful dresses and very cute, but Sumireko literally looks like another girl, especially because she has big breasts and the plain Sumireko has no chest, my question is Sumireko hides her big breasts or She uses padding ?, Whatever the answer is, Sumireko with her hair down and without her glasses is gorgeous and she far exceeds Cosmos and Himawari and now I remember that Joro mentioned something of a girl similar to Op and Ed, beautiful, nice and with big breasts and Sumireko says "you mean my ", I am beginning to understand everything.

Hilarious how people here complain about the show, because it is 'not realistic', the 'characters are cliche' and seriously discussing 'best girl'.
The whole show is clearly a parody and the whole point is that the character troll and get trolled in every scene.
How can anyone discuss this as if it is a serious romance show and not see the obvious???

The writing is quite clever as well, I especially like that they managed to have the same phrases for similar situations copied for the different characters.
I'm interested to see if they ramp the goofiness even more or what direction they go next.

Pretty good episode I'm eager to see whether this anime is really just a parody of a romcom or if it does get much deeper than that , because the characters do seem to reflect our society in which people are nice to others as long as it benefits them then once that person is no longer useful to them they show their true colors but maybe I'm looking too much into that .

I disagree with Joro, i actually like Pansy. Girls with a bit of bite are much more my taste. Cosmos is really pretty and fun when not lovesick, and Himawari can be pretty cute would def wanna be their friends, but Pansy is way more my speed... especially if she's that good of a schemer heh. I could do without the stalking, but not something i couldn't manipulate her out of doing. Having an intriguing girl like her would make life a lot more fun and interesting, and it would be a joy to continuously learn more about a nuanced girl like her. Plus she's a top-class troll.

Everything is spinning, I loved the turn that everything had in relationships. Even though Joro helps them fall in love with Sun, they pay him that way, very badly, they deserve it. And I thought that Sun would be declared to Joro, that was my worst fear, how lucky it was not. Poor Joro, misfortune pursues him, hahaha 😂. This is very complicated, someone must sacrifice themselves here. This was definitely on 🔥.
Sanshokuin is already pretty, but she looks even more beautiful in the OP and ED. Joro doesn't know what he rejects.

Would half wanna drop the show if he was gay. This show being paraded around with advances towards the main dude would annoy me. I like that the one person who likes him is who he doesn't want. I mean every scene with the dude would become him trying to fend off his attraction. It's much better that he's just average dude that likes a girl. Assuming he falls into the "gay" anime character trope which is basically what this show is all about (Character tropes in real life situations.)

I think the thing I like the most are the characters being easy to relate to, That guy that everyone likes, is actually really charismatic and fact is people like that. 90% of us thought on the first episode, it was a harem for the main character. Why wouldn't he think the same thing after seeing that?

Sumireko and Joro are really great, because they're outliers.

I think if bench-kun came at the very end of the series for a Carry this would remain a 10/10 for me

IIRC Sumeriko got close to 90% votes in a poll in 2ch (unofficial, but it had a lot of vote counts). But that was on the LN and it was a pretty early poll. However, I think the other heroines never made any grounds since then.

But this is a complete different story.

I really really really love this anime!!
I dont know but for me this is one of the unique romcom ive seen in a while, it feels so different and enjoyable to watch.Its close to the level of quality of kaguya sama that came out this year.Probably this will be on ma top 5 anime this year and AOTS.

Love Triangle: The Anime. More like a love pentagon. I'm enjoying it so far, it's fairly funny, although it has a pretty generic sense of comedy. I also think it has the prettiest character designs so far this season, everyone looks great!

It didn't hit that much this time compared to episode 1 but I'm still hoping for some funny things or funny parts to come. Poor Joro though, all the hassle of having to set everyone up with Sun. And then Sun's interested in Pansy. This is turning into a complete mess of a situation for Joro. I have a feeling that things will only get worse as time goes on. Especially as it looks like Pansy is the one orchestrating all of these problems.
She's looking alright with her hair down and glasses off in the ed.
It's been pretty good so far. I look forward to the next episode.
