I don't tend to elaborate on forums because I could use that time to write a review (which I did) that's why you may have thought that "I don't understand how it works" but I do understand and Mappa failed at it, the way Mappa portrays Hiro is ridiculous and lets not talk of how terribly paced this anime is, this is a problem when an anime only gets 11 episodes and the source material is as terrible as this adaptation. So no, Hiro is not a great character. |

I have no intention of discussing your comment when you throw around opinions you gathered after finishing the anime. I want the discussion to be future spoiler free and according to what happened to this episode only. Everyone's opinions matter but not to other people. | Scene with trolls falling dead one after another was so great (as a scene, not some sick satisfaction, mind you). Gave me Death Note vibes. Inu in space made me laugh on the other hand. That was way funnier than it should be. |
| Even though Hiro's mom killing herself was ultimately caused by her son's actions, those bastards from 2channel doxxing her and driving her to suicide had those fingerbangs coming. The MSM people hounding both of his parents after finding about their addresses were arguably just as bad. Hiro's fingerbangs cleanly activating even through screens and having an assault rifle option only made it even more perplexing on how it actually works. |

| Hiro really crying like a little bitch after what happened. What the fuck did he think was gonna happen? The CGI was pretty bad in that scene too. If this anime was made more recently it'd probably have slightly better CGI. Or at least some scenes wouldn't be done in CGI by MAPPA. Feels strange to think about it. That girl is seriously hiding a suspect for a serious crime. Even if Hiro didn't commit any crime, it's a crime to knowingly collaborate and hide a suspect. She's delusional. I bet she's the type who'll defend him even if she found out he's a mass murderer. Hiro's mom committed suicide because she couldn't handle her son being a serial killer and because of all the grief and harassment that comes with it. Without her, Hiro is now completely unhinged. Had she been alive she could've helped the police apprehend her son. I don't know how many times I've wanted to kill internet trolls. I can't blame Hiro for going through with it. He was at the lowest point in his life and he succumbed to his power. I guess killing for revenge for your mother isn't a terrible motivation. At the very least it's more unique than the "my parents abused me as a child" trope in anime like this. |

| Shion's crush on Hiro is clouding her judgement, surely the guy she likes could not have been the serial killer right? Well, consider her and her grandma save then, it's a risky move but by taking him in, she's essentially ensuring her safety, at least that's what I hoped he does. Typical Japanese society, accountability reaches beyond just the individual in question but their acquaintances and especially their family as well. The moment Hiro heard of the news that his mother has committed suicide is the moment Hiro has forsaken his will to stop killing. Now he's not just some serial killer, but a mass murderer. It reminded me of a quote Mike Tyson has said...
