Holy crap guys. I'am so glad right now for still carrying my profile picture of Ougi. This end is one of the best things I've seen, I've never given a 10 to the Monogatari series, but with this end, he has earned it completely for me. ;_;

The part that I liked the most was when he saved Ougi from the darkness. God.

This episode did so much in 16 and a half minutes. A mystery that's been building up since Second Season, and somehow, this episode, and in a way, Owari 2, manages to be a great payoff to it. If this had been the finale of the entire Monogatari series, I would have been completely satisfied. But of course, the story continues.

Ougi's true identity places multiple preceding arcs in a new context, and it's great. I didn't expect to grow so attached to this spooky, smug, long sleeved dork. And almost every character got their sendoff in this episode, too, it's kind of amazing that they managed to cram so much of it in here.

Owari 2 exceeded my expectations. It did a fair bit of playing around with the default visual formula, with more cool soundtrack, and the characters I love so much just solved on of the core mysteries of the series. I'm really happy that watched it as soon as I could, and I'm very tempted to watch the whole series all over again.

First two arcs pretty much felt like a buildup to this arc, and ultimately it paid off with a nice closure at the end. Really liked that conversation with Shinobu at the end, and laughed hard at Kagerui fighting polar bears at North pole. Overall a nice conclusion typing up the rest of the loose ends of the series and Araragi's story came to a full close, but as Ougi said, it's only the end of one chapter of his life. 8/10 and certainly much inferior to the best installment of the series ss, but stands on a good position on its own, and I expect monogatari to continue since there are a lot of novels to adapt, particularly Musubimonogatari will be a nice surprise for the fans.

Wow. One of the most satisfying finales I have ever seen. Mayoi reappears, more Senjougahara, return of Meme, and Araragi saving himself for once. I hope to see more seasons soon.

Since now, everytime before I start reading monogatari light novel or watching the anime in the future I will do two bows, two claps and a bow in order to pray to the great Hachikuji-sama, who was my religion long before she actually kami-mashita for real. And I recommend everyone doing this ritual as well, because new monogatari titles to come is our food. And one can't start eating without praying before.

I think it is not overrated like most of people say about the series it's truly and art a masterpiece i dare say. I'm super satisfied with the finale, another masterpiece for this season. Hachikuji is now a God of Shirahebi shrine, so glad i get to see her again like really. Hitagi and Koyomi getting closer together that's a great character development there, and Hanekawa sold her brain to some institute ? what the heck ? finally Meme Oshino made his grand appearance at the right time all thanks to Hanekawa who brought him.

So excited, Koyomi x Shinobu for lyfe.. get on board everyone and let the ship set sail, i live for this shit !

Overall score 10/10, looking forward for Zokuowarimonogatari

I just finished watching the season , and I really like how they end the series (Well nisio still gonna continue the LN so we still have chance to have more series, yey) but there is one thing that bothering me in the last ep in the credit there is a girl who is hugging( I think the right word is stopping her ,lol) Kanbaru who is she ? I cant barely see her face , am i the only one who doesnt know her I really cant remeber her ( well maybe she is not really part of the story , maybe she's just kanbaru classmate xD) ...

The only disdain I have for this season is that Kanbaru had no screen time at all. They literally had every important Heroine get some kind of Screen time but Kanbaru. I mean they showed her being held back at the end (Who was that girl btw) but Miyuki Sawashiro as Kanbaru is flawless and she was needed in my life this season!

Really doesn't take away from a Perfect score this season though.

Kind of curious what Happened to Hanekawa's White Hair...maybe that was her losing her "brain" Also how the fuck did Hitagi grow her hair back that quick lol.

At the end of Tsubasa Tiger, Hanekawa states that she dyes her hair to hide the white stripes while she's at school. IDK about Hitagi, but I just assumed that she used extensions

It's sad how the first part was kind of normal en the 2nd was in comparison not so good. The last part was actually very great. As a standalone and conclusion i would give that one a 10/10. But part 1 and 2 drag it down. I must give it a 9/10.

Great ending, that somehow felt rather anticlimatic. Maybe it's because of the immense impact of the Kizu- trilogy, with its evidently bigger budget, longer production phases, and as a result better art. 9/10

The only thing I felt was left a bit unresolved, or rather about which I felt a bit inconclusive, is:

After all, we all know what the OTP is. At the least she needs a spin off where she is Bear Grylls' daughter and/or MacGyvers protegee, fighting zombies, daemons, and other hellspawn, searching for alternate Araragi.

Wouldn't that be "MAYOI BLESS MAYOI"?

I've always been a moderate Gahara fan, but she fell out of favour with me, when Kaiki revealed her weakness. After that she became a more or less generic tsundere.

That said, I've had the privilege last fall, to coincidentally come across a bus to this place, and just couldn't resist:

So the 'long-awaited' episode number in the information panel is there. Finally! What did it take so long to change that? It was OBVIOUS from the start it's a 7 episodes long series, only the airing format was a bit different this time, but that is all. Mattaku, MAL.

I was seriously dissapointed by Owari Season Two. And it suprises me that so many people enjoyed it. To each their own I guess.

Everyone is talking about how great of a ending this was, how everything made sense and how everything was so satisfying. When it was the complete opposite for me.

As for the Monogatari Series as a whole, it is one of my favorite animes. And it has been for a long time. I really didn't expect to dislike the latest season this much, but I did. I wish I couldv'e enjoyed it, but I didn't. And no matter how many times I rewatch it, or look at positive reviews, I can't change how I really feel about it.

Great episode, I got teary-eyed when I saw Hanekawa with Oshino T_T I missed her~!

And while it ending certainly was conclusive, it did feel a bit empty... Maybe because there were so many characters it was impossible to wrap everything up within just a few minutes? Or maybe this season was just too short for me to properly get into it? Hard to say.

I absolutely enjoyed it anyway though, especially Mayoi's and Hitagi's arcs. If anything, I think I'm gonna miss all these characters so much, that I'm glad this isn't a real ending yet. 8.5/10

I found interesting how the show mislead us into various things that Ougi could be. At one point I thought she would be the god that Shinobu "defeated" when she came from Japan. I mean, she doesn't look like a snake but her white skin kinda reminds me of one.

An excellent conclusion to the Monogatari series but probably a tad inflated score from all the fans, need more votes to trickle in. Still was very satisfying ending to the Araragi story. Personally I enjoyed Kizu better and Mono 2nd season.

Probably a 8.5/10 but I'll round up to a 9.

So Ougi was Koyomi's "Shadow", and Koyomi had to face it to beat it. Would this be considered a type of coming-of-age story? And lol Hanekawa picking up Meme all they way from Antarctica and making back in the nick of time. And the moment Meme called Ougi his "niece" to give her an identity was clutch. Awesome. Despite the amount of dialogue this anime has, I still found it surprisingly easy to follow along with it.

This was a great way to end the series and see all the pieces come together. Tsukihi helping out Nadeko. Hanekawa lending her "brains" in her new job (is she going to become an apparition specialist?). Kissshot choosing to save Koyomi and stay with him as her way of saying thanks was a very sweet moment. And Hanekawa finally witnesses the relationship between Koyomi and Hitagi. On graduation day too. Too bad Kanbaru didn't say anything...

I think the real hero of this story is Hachikuji. She's the one who found Shinobu when she went missing. Then she is the one who helps Koyomi out of hell. And finally she becomes the new God of the shrine so that the darkness will not haunt her anymore. Snails > Snakes, so Hachikuji > Nadeko. Praise Hachikuji!

I kind of wanted more insight on Kagenui and Gaen though. I hope we get to see more of them in the side stories...

swell ending.

Araragi survived.
Ougi saved.
Meme returned.
Tsubasa came back.
Hachikuji became a god.
Shinobu became a loli again.
Nadeko becoming a striving mangaka.
Hitagi being deredere.
Gaen off again.
Ononoki too.

But no Kanbaru.
No Kagenui.
No Kaiki.
No Sodachi.

9/10.

As much as I would like to say I pegged Ougi's true identity correctly, that theory was 3rd or 4th on my list of possibilities. I actually was running with the theory that Ougi was Oshino's shadow. Not because of the name, but also because of the name. It goes without saying Ougi was no Oshino's nice. Also when Ougi appears for the second time, it is strongly hinted that she was not originally a girl and that her gender is being decided by Araragi. As for the name, well I guess figured it would be like NISIO to do something like that. "Because she's clearly not Oshino's niece, we'd never suspect she is Oshino himself."

What mainly threw me off was the mislead the Ougi was strongly tied tot he darkness. The Darkness didn't seem to much different than Oshino to me. The Darkness seemed to be actively undoing everything that had happened... and Oshino was involved in all of that. I even went so far as to think that the Darkness actually was Oshino himself... that something happened as a result of the time distortion in Mayoi Jiangshi that cause Oshino's existence to become twisted and transcend time and space... which is how the darkness existed 400 years in the past.

Well that was disappointing in general. Only the last episode can be considered good. Rest of the 6 episodes were boring, both plot and dialogue wise. Fortunately OSTs were the only good thing this reason.

Deserves a low 7/10, but I'll give it 6/10 since I feel this is overrated atm.

Wait let me get this straight. You judge anime on your personal list based on how other people judge anime on their list. Oh god this has to be a joke. Idc what anyone judges it 5 4 1 doesn't matter but you took it upon yourself to actually state that you will rate it lower not because of your feelings toward the anime but others.

Mal never fails to astonish me.

No, not really. I judge it however the way I want to, by taking any number of things into account, in whatever order I want to. A neutral viewing would've earned it a 7/10. However anyone would expect more after seeing the ridiculous score, so naturally I'm disappointed.

Don't get why my ratings would bother anyone. MAL never fails to astonish me.

Some things i still dont understand:
1. How hanekawa bring meme back from antartica? And what does it meant by selling her brain?
2. Who is the girl being chased by araragi in the end? I know for sure she is another troubled girl, but any details in the seriesnovel?
3. Ppl mentioning about higasa, who is she? I cant recall her name in the series

Great way to end off this series.

Also that end scene with Araragi x Shinobu was so meaningful. Especially Araragi's words to Shinobu. Just recently finished Kizumongatari too. I truly feel their bond is the strongest in the series and even goes beyond a romantic one.

Here's to hoping for more continuation of this story.

Definitely the best season of Monogatari since 'Second Season'.
And I can't put in words how much I prefer this (usual) character design than Kizu character design. Kizu was ugly as fu*k in general.

Same here, i just watched it, and i somehow expected more. I really dont understand how it became the 3th highest ranked show/season on MAL.
The 1st part of this season was ok, 2nd part was just plain boring, and the only good thing was the 3th part.

I really like monogatari as a whole, but the last 2 arcs (Koyomimonogatari and Owarimonogatari 2) were really dragging in my opinion.
