Ha, the spy girls in this show really likes to take risks.

Distracting guards with sex appeal, using disguises, etc.
I must asy, Dorothy is quite good at distracting guards.

Still quite a thrilling episode. I really like how skilled the main characters are when it comes to getting shit done.

Nice episode, but it was a bit weaker than the previous two episodes for me. I would like to get an explanation of using the anti-grav device for scanning the room of sorts by shooting at it. This seemed like kind of an ass pull where all the other technology stuff in the previous episodes was explained to a reasonable degree.

Maybe I've missed something, but Chise came out of nowhere. Despite her being in the first episode, what plays later in the story, regarding the "cases" I've missed her introduction to the group. Can someone explain?

Also, from the case numbering, some cases have been skipped at this point, right? While episode 2 and 3 where case 1 and 2 respectively, this was case 9.

So Chise is the double agent, right? Or did I misunderstand something.

Dorothy's sex appeal is probably one of the teams biggest assets. No pun intended.

The order of the episodes is not chronological so you should assume that she's gonna get introduced later on in a "previous" episode.

This was a pretty cool mission. Dorothy's sex appeal is quite helpful. The guy that took the picture of the C-ball was captured, but the girls saved him in time. After what the Princess has done, she's still suspected to be a double agent. She also might get married. Her marriage could strengthen their relationship with Moscow and avoid world war. Now the girls have a name for their team. Team White Pigeon is nice.

Weird that they chose not to introduce Chise normally and instead went with a case after she was integrated into the team

The show started off in a non-linear way so I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt that there's a good reason why they held off on her introduction this week....They'll probably link it with another case

As for this week's episode, it's interesting how everyone now has secrets for their secrets and I feel like it's very possible that we may see them all turn on one another in the finale :(

Still, I was impressed with how well of a unit they are and seeing them execute the mission was pretty nice as usual (And FINALLY they shut Beatrice's loud mouth up xDDD)

"Chise is the best fighter among us." Ange said it herself. So now we know what each spy specializes in. This was Case #9 though, so hopefully we find the episode that introduces her down the line. It looks as though that Chise is a Japanese immigrant based on her outfit, especially the sword and the hat. Hehe, she might be the only Japanese character in this anime. ^_^

I was hoping that they would give some exposition on the Cavorite Ball...but oh well...Guess we'll have to wait until a future episode...Wait a minute. They just created that Cavorite ball, and it was a prototype...so where did Ange get hers if she had one before Case #9?

Lol at the driving scene and Beatrice screaming all over town. "You're too loud. Be quiet." And then Ange shuts off her voice. Looks like 3hz heard our complaints with Beatrice XD.

And now we're suspecting that Princess Charlotte may be a double agent. As much as I wouldn't want her to be, we can't count her out yet. Ange and Charlotte keeping their friendship secret from the rest, so it isn't wrong for the others to be suspicious. We'll have to see how this turns out later. It's going to be a plot twist within a plot twist!

Good episode.

Surprisingly we got Case #9 this episode with Chise already in the team. Wonder if we'll get her introductory episode later on, I do like how they are trying out a non-linear story telling fashion but how well this is gonna work remains to be seen.

As always the spy work is really exciting to watch, Dorothy is unstoppable with her seduction. xD
Suspicions about the Princess being a double agent still exist but so far she does seem to be loyal or at least allied.

So Chise is from a different faction who haven't yet picked a side to ally with.

I loved the part where Ange basically turned off Beatrice. XDD
Princess wants to have a more active role in the group, I'm still waiting for the detailed backstory between Princess and Ange.

As far as I understand it, the newly developed C-Ball prototype in this episode was on the Kingdom's side. The Commonwealth had the technology advantage for a long time, so they probably had the C-Ball for quite a while on their side. Or vice versa? xD

I really hate it when shows go and work out of order just for the sheer sake of it or, in this show's case (it seems), to confuse the audience as much as possible for no reason whatsoever. Like, why completely skip over an important member of the team's introduction like that?

Also, as others have said, this show is seeming immensely reliant on asspulls to keep things going how our main characters need them to. Like, why can the Cavorite Ball suddenly do so much just as they need it to? More importantly, surely the Kingdom have the technology as well as Ange has had one since the start, in which case they would be less worried about the Commonwealth having the same technology than what that old guy in the library implied. Also, the fact that they were able to keep doing their practices after Chise attacked a police officer makes no sense whatsoever.

I can see this show has no intention of adhering to any notion of logic, but that doesn't make it any less annoying, especially when I bet that's the sole reason for the episodes being out of order like this.

If memory serves, it was shown that they ran away right after the incident and thus did not get caught and it is implied that they also did not get identified.

Many things are implied and I'm okay with it. For instance where Dorothy tricked the guard into leaving here alone what enabled here to climb through the vents. It was not show how she and Charlotte got back out and left the ship, it was only implied. That worked for me.

There are many occasions where an ass pull would occur in a lesser show. Like where Ange knew who Bea had to imitate and what the name of the soldier was who was on the other side of the blocked door. I was reasonably enough explained with the overheard conversation from the headphone scene earlier. What also made this scene more relevant and it thus serving two purposes in the narrative. That's good writing in my book.

Not saying that the show pulls off everything flawlessly, but certainly better than your average run-of-the-mill action show.

Despite her valuable voice changing asset, I get the feeling that Beatrice is still the weakest link in the entire team. She's just not that great at disguises and is way too easily recognizable as the Princesses aid....

And I'm a bit confused as to the factions right now. So it was the Kingdom's researchers who were trying to develop the same miniaturized Cavorlite tech that Ange and her team are already using, in order to fight against the Commonwealth... As for Ange and the spy network above her, are they're a neutral faction who are trying to play both sides in order for the best outcome?
So basically what exactly was the outcome of the mission this episode? Did the spy network confiscate all the tech and equipment and confine the scientists then? Does this mean the Cavorlite tech doesn't get to go to either the Kingdom nor the Commonwealth?

I mean, the only reason she's in the group is because she was a friend of the Princess beforehand. as it was shown in today's episode, they're both practically unskilled in espionage. I like that the show still shows their contributions to the team though - Beatrice with her voice & Charlotte with her political significance.

every episode I get more & more in love with each of the girls. now we just need Chise's backstory, maybe they're saving some good plot for her & it'll be worth the wait.

& oh boy, Dorothy's face when being talked about the Princess possibly being a double agent. ;_; the fact that they can't even trust each other is starting to haunt them. it would be really sad to see them all turn against each other in the future. but if it's done correctly it could be interesting as well. hope the series continues to amaze me like it's been doing each week so far!

Another good episode.

Ange finally shut Beatrice mouth and Dorothy's sex appeal is quite dangerous.

So their spy bosses are still considering whether the Princess is a double agent and in their eyes she is still grey. I liked when the guy said that the world is not black and white but black and grey, well in their spy world.

It's sad that the girls can't trust each other, they get along so well. And the name 'White Pigeon' is nice.

Damn, this show just keeps getting better although I would prefer the previous three episode over this. By the way, this was Case 9 but it follows up quite neatly with the previous two episodes. Dorothy is quite the lethal spy with her sex appeal and when coupled with Ange's stunning skill, the Princess's influence, Beatrice's voice manipulation and Chise's swordsmanship really does make a menacing squad. However, it's not pleasing to say that there are suspicion among the team. Well, it makes me all the curious of who the double agent really is. Chances of it being the Princess is still relatively high since the higher ups still suspect her. Considering Ange's perception skills, I wonder if she knows what's really up with the tensed situation. Can't wait to see what the show has in store for us next week.

Perhaps it was because of what L said to Chise at the party about observing the actions of both the Commonwealth AND the Kingdom? The dialogue they put into the episodes does make for confusion as to where their loyalty really lays.

Well maybe "Neutral" for now judging from her leader said both about Kingdom and Commonwealth that could be their ally. So I'm guessing they haven't made their choice to be sided with. And about Dorothy, maybe that's the common "Onee-san that like to tease" trait huh? xD

she isn't necessarrily a double agent, as she isn't dedicated to the Kingdom or Commonwealth yet. she can be seen as a middle group, looking for reasons to trust one over the other. for her, she is investigating the Commonwealth. it can be believed that another individual that she works with is investigating the Kingdom. with having investigated both sides, her group would then choose who to ally themselves with

Admittedly, the jump from case 2 to case 9, as well as Chise's appearance in the team was a bit sudden, but it isn't that much of a bad thing at all. This episode itself was pretty good anyway. =)

Dorothy's skills in sex appeal works perfectly all the time. =3

Even though the team have finally come up with a name, they still don't fully trust each other yet. L seems to be suspicious to Charlotte still, referring to her as "grey" in a world of black and grey.

Beatrice might lack the talent of the others, but at least she can alter her voice in order to help the team progress through their mission, which does prove that she is a valuable asset to the team. =)

It means in their work of espionage, no one is completely trustworthy. It's like having tigers for pets, even if they love you, you always have to be aware that they could maul you because something set them off. A spy could always turncoat or have been an enemy spy to begin with.

So is Dorothy going to stay a one trick pony through the whole durotation of the anime? Her seductions are getting banal really fast. Not that Beatrice isn't a one trick pony too, but the hers seems more reliable than hoping every single male is gonna fall for Dorothy. I wonder how many people realized that Dorothy has just leaked to Ange that top command has Princess (and Ange) under suspicion.

But she doesn't seem to know the truth about Princess & Ange by Case #9.
Bcs of her response, her inner speech, when Princess decided to go alongside the team on the final infiltration.
Or maybe that's just to put us off this episode? But then I'll call it horrible script if
that's case.
Ah whatever. With their decision to not air things in the same as order as the plot, I guess speculating will be difficult.

Also, that same scene, Princess' speech about herself during the bridge scene, it isn't powerful enough.

Agreed. It's laughable that every single man has fallen for her tricks and it makes me question how these men became guards if they're going to fall for one woman. It wasn't even necessary for Dorothy to seduce the guard when it was just him. They could have easily have knocked him out quietly and taken the key since no one else was there to notice. I like Dorothy but she's becoming kind of boring. Honestly, Beatrice's voice manipulations is a much bigger asset to the team.

-hey it's the ball of cavorite ange carried around in episode 1
-yeah this is actually gravity rush

-oh fuck yeah it's case 9
-it seems like chise is actually japanese
-yes let us talk about spy work in the middle of a crowded ballroom

-now this is the kind of spy stuff I liked about the first 2 episodes
-beatrice is such a cutie
-huh, i thought princess was the queen's daughter
-huh, so chise was planted in princess's group
-i think i like princess's spy getup the best
-huh, i thought that chise might have leaked it but i guess it was just the book that gave it away
-lmao ange just turns the volume down to 0
-also the soundtrack in this episode is pretty amazing
-in what world are pigeons pretty or cute

So, episode 3 had me worried for the rest of the show because I thought it was the storytelling method of the first two episodes that made this show so enjoyable for me. However, this episode clearly demonstrated to me that the reason I didn't like episode 3 was because it was just a bad episode in terms of spy shenanigans. In this episode the reason that Ange's group was able to commit the heist wasn't because the Kingdom's security was completely incompetent but because of how skilled the spies were. Like, the scene with Dorothy and the guard in this episode was a helluva lot more believable than the one in the last episode where that fucker just up and left his post. This time around, Dorothy instead used a bunch of masterful misdirection and sleight of hand. The whole methane explosion ploy was also great (especially with Beatrice forgetting to switch off the voice changer afterward), and we also saw Ange use her photographic/tape recorder memory. In any case, this episode was just a huge step up from the previous one, and it pretty much singlehandedly rekindled my interest in watching this show.

EDIT: oh also the backgrounds are still super fucking gorgeous holy shit
