| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE VISUAL NOVELS/GAMES OR THE PREVIOUS ANIME BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow that was a pretty intense start. The world fiction of this show seems almost barbaric. I'm also impressed by how well this was animated. The comedy felt a bit odd though, I mean just weirdly timed. Overall, good episode but pacing felt kinda slow. I haven't played the games before so going into this fresh. Haku and Kuon has a nice chemistry already imo.  Cute as a button. |

| It's not a sophisticated character study or thought-provoking social commentary drama, so why can't we have the main protagonist not being a self-center, unsympathetic and annoying brat? Is he actually a gamer/otaku from the past? He knows the word 'slime', and given his attitude and the source material it's not a surprise if it turns out to be true, and I hope it's not true because I'm stereotyping hard and it's not a good thing. How hard is it to have a somewhat likable character that you can relate to or understand and get you emotionally invested? They did it in Utawarerumono, right from the very beginning. Of course there's going to have some 'character development', but come on, it's just a simple escapism anime, everything should be made to help us immerse into the story and setting. When did something so simple become so incompetent? |

I watched the game video that other player shared on youtube, I think the pacing felt kinda fast. I thought the first episode will end at the scene when kuon named protag, but it rushed to end at the scene when they met Ukon. |

From playing the game, I would advice to see the first anime. Many things are left unexplained for those who doesn't know about it, and some things are revealed like it expects you to already know about it. Sure you can watch it without seeing the first, but I don't think that is such a good idea. |

| Going into this blind, having not watched the previous show. Well I can already tell this show's gonna have beautiful backgrounds. Really diggin' the snowy setting. So the story of Haku the amnesiac and Kuon the catgirl eh? I'm likin' their chemistry together. Mostly a calm and relaxing first episode. That end though... |
| Great start, really promising. Firstly, I love Kuon. Secondly Fujiwara Keiji is voicing Haku (he's my favorite seiyuu). Finally, I love the setting and and I'm looking forward to more! Oh and the cat people also help. |

| If this has anything to do with the first series, then I'm guessing Haku's namesake is from Hakuoro? Really liked this episode, especially the interaction between Haku and Kuon. |

| Akashi is amazing as Kuon. I really like pretty much everything about her. She's the most likeable character I've seen in a long time. MC on the other hand... what a lazy asshole. He really sucks compared to Hakuoro. I was very sceptic about this series seeing as the studio changed and people responsible for both directing and composition produced shit after shit. I doubt it will be as good as the previous Utawarerumono (oh that ending song) but it might be still enjoyable in its own way. |

| Where do I even begin lol....I absolutely loved this for so many reasons First of all, Haku and Kuon are such a great contrast to Hakuoro and Eruruu and personally I REALLY like the idea that they decided to not make our two leads this round not be similar to them Haku is HILARIOUS, the guy is lazy as fuck, he has talents as we can see but the dude is weak too xDDD And fucking Kuon HOLY SHIT.....This girl has got to be from the same race as best girl Karula from S1....Those strength feats OMG xDDD I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE BOTH OF THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great chemistry together already too Credit goes to White Fox for nailing the beautiful backgrounds and providing us with good art and animation as well as fitting music to back it up and the voice acting has been pretty good too Great start Utawarerumomo S2 great start....Can't wait to see what this new leader guy is about as well as to see what's going on in this part of the land :DDD |

| Kuon is really one responsible person, her interactions with Haku are wonderful. Haku is quite fun in his own way, with his frivolous attitude, and his reaction to something like the "tiny sting." Seeing how he used his brains instead of his labour, the development would be something nice to see. But his amnesia... wonder what kind of story would it entail. Kuon is really one really likable character already, from how she looks after Haku, to like peeking a little and her general attitude towards Haku makes this already a really likable anime. Have high expectations for this one! |

| Looked like the MC was wearing modern day hospital slacks in the beginning. Though I have no previous knowledge of this franchise, this was great. Time passed by so quickly it felt like a short. |

| Do we need to watch the 2006 anime to be able to appreciate the story more? Will we get references from the old one? Anyways, I really like the animation style. Really reminds me of Katanagatari + Mushishi with a similar setting to Mushibugyou. Will watch because of Taneda Risa (Kuon). |

| Only known the anime and theirs already obvious reference from the first Utawarerumono. This has a strong start to the point that its already refreshing if you compared it to most of new anime except the MC attitude. Looking forward how they will explore the world. And yes its better to watch the first as this show that its a story that happened after the first Utawarerumono. |

| Aww it was over so fast! Well that was cute! I was worried this Haku MC would be pathetic in comparison to Hakuoro because he's weak (this man is gonna have people fighting to protect him the whole show...maybe PV shows he can fight win the fan...) but at least he's smart! His laziness is pretty funny tho "Don't tell anyone!" I love him. Kuon is a pervert! (nice to have a female pervert instead of a guy for once tho) I continue to have high hopes :] |

| Is it even possible for someone to be "that" cute? Kuon is adorable. A very comfy episode, it may have been a little slow but the character interactions were entertaining enough for me. Whitefox did a nice job with the snowy background and the animation was fairly consistent as well. Not bad. 25 episodes? Hot dayum, hopefully it continues to impress. |

| Okay, The plot and story was interesting. And the animation was really good. The ED's song and animation was fine. And Man.. Kuon was so cute! I guess, I'll keep on watching this. And maybe I'll try to watch the Original 2006 series. ^ Or maybe never! As if I will an anime based on a fucking Eroge Visual Novel shit!!! |
