| Wow. It was just unbelievably well done - the pacing, the balance between the lighthearted moments, serious, battle scenes, and the plot thickens moments, as well as that cliffhanger ending. It was the best first episode of this season. I have nothing more to say. Oh wait, I do. Props to Sakurai Takahiro. :) |

| Dat intro... Dat sound... Anyways, this is one of these animes I have been waiting for this season, but I am somewhat disappointed with that plot twist, felt like something that wouldn't have happended on a second season's first episode, unless I missed something when the first season was about to end. |

| Even though I only understood about half of what was said, the rest of it was understandable given the context and what was happening on screen. Great first episode, although a lot of talking not much action, but from the preview episode 2 will be filled with mecha porn. |

| It's fucking great as expected, I have been waiting for this and i am pretty much pleased. It was just unbelievably well done. The pacing, the balance between the lighthearted moments, serious, battle scenes, and the plot thickens moments, as well as Kunato becoming worse. That bastard is going ruin everything in the later episode, I love the OP and ED.The OP had some spoilers of what is going to happen, Nonetheless it's a great show and hoping it will live up as my expectation. |

| Kunato and Mozuku probably shouldn't have entered that laboratory. That was pretty brutal. R.I.P. to both of them, for now. Looks like Nagate doesn't enjoy dreaming about tentacle love, even if it is from Red Shizuka (Placental Hoshijiro). :p Too bad, she has been taken off from the research center, thanks to Kunato suddenly becoming a busybody. Izana getting mad at Nagate for not accompanying her was cute! Well, he made it in time with that jet-pack Yuhata let him borrow. Harem time soon? :3 Best part of the episode has to be the Gauna battle. Quite a difficult time they had against Ga-549. Nagate even went reckless for a bit, which was pretty cool! But of course, Kunato took the spotlight at the end, one-shotted that Gauna with Tsumugi. Goddamnit, her voice is too cute! >.< Solid start. Both OP and ED are amazing, but I prefer the latter a little more. Such a shame this amazing show didn't get picked up by neither CR nor Funimation, yet some of the lame ones did. |

| That scene with Kunato and Mozuku with Ochiai making his come back. The use of those alien parasites gives me the chills. Benisuzume being taken away by Ochiai :/ Ochiai creating Tsugumi and one-shotted that huge gauna! Watching Nagate back in action like that with all the moves were amazing. Glad to see this back, this was quite the episode! |

| If I recall the first season ended not with a bang, but a whimper. However I'm hopeful of the second season and that was such a beautiful OP! |

| I just finished watching alnoah zero, so i forgot how odd the CG characters look in this show. the OP isnt as good as S1's imo. i kinda gasped really loud when that girls finger fell off. WATTT? Ochai took over Norio's body? the end of the episode. wtf happened... |

| I'm liking that OP, much better than the first season's, only because I don't particularly like angela's singing style :P I mean it's still her, but it's less of her usual style I would say. Anyways, awesome first episode! My love for Sidonia no Kishi has been rekindled, must go catch up on manga and maybe read it from the beginning again like I did last season. Poor Kunato, he was getting more bearable but then he made a bad choice and Ochiai happened. Gah. The blood nematode or wtv makes me have goosebumps. But the good thing about all this is Tsumugi~ She's finally here! And lol at Izana pouting about Nagate, as always. |

| That was quite an episode....Great opener to the second season The beginning part with Kunato was intense as fuck, I seriously did not see any of that coming. RIP Mozuku and I was really sad to see that Tanikaze's friend got taken over by that parasite thing....I wonder if she and Kunato are pretty much dead The calmer scenes during the episode were well done and we got to see some familiar faces whom I personally missed a lot. Not surprised to see that Tanikaze is still hung up on best girl....Whenever I think of her I remember the episode when she died and how depressed I was after TwT The latter parts of the episode was pretty fun.....Classic mecha fights against the Guana although shit got real with that new type however that ending was shocking.....I cannot wait to find out what happens next Overall it was a great episode, the art and animation were good and surprisingly the CGI got a lot better =o OP and ED was good too but I prefer the S1 still |

| Finally subbed, hell yeah! Openings and endings are both excellent! Is it just me or does this show look better now? Or maybe my memories of the at times very clunky CGI were exaggerated.. anyways, a very gripping start to an excellent mecha series. This is definitely my favorite anime from this season along with Gintama right now. that ending scene, holy shiet |

| Well...this season is definitely starting off a lot more intense than the last one. And judging from the preview of the next episode, at least half of the units are going to die in the next episode (surprise, surprise). I am so glad that this show is back! And I'm glad that it got subbed. I was worried that I might have to watch it raw, which wouldn't be too much of a problem were it not for a fact that this is a show that uses a lot of technical terms, and I haven't reached my advanced level courses of Japanese in college yet. I'll get there one of these days And it's not surprising that neither Crunchyroll nor Funimation chose to host this show. I'm fairly certain that it was not due to a lack of interest, either. I'm sure that Netflix made an agreement making them the sole distributors of the show in North America. Anyway, I can't wait to see how this goes! I'm glad that my year long wait is over. :D |
| I'm surprised they introduced the Tsugumori MkII that early. He was supposed to fly an 18 after wrecking the original Tsugumori on the asteroid mission. Season 2 doesn't really start until Nagate discovers ena Hoshijiro's gauna gone. This - the anime rearranged/omitted some of the events in the manga, otherwise this would have happened in S1 prior to the asteroid mission. |
