Fighto~

Time for that debut at last. I think they did so-so though and also, we get some anxiety from Toudou. This whole idol/concert idea looks catchy though. I kinda like it :>

Time to get fired up!

The director finally showed his true strength, and now they've finally got an ending. Even if it's going to be a huge amount of work to pull off.

Zuka finally had a role - of sorts. Still, it should help her grow more confident and accustomed to the work that she has decided to do.

Mii-chan getting frustrated with the monotony of her task, and the dreariness of her expected future. All the while becoming somewhat of an expert in car wheels.

Misa struggling on what she wants to do. It was nice to see her take some anger on the tires and the president comes in to comment about her goal a little. Still, using CG on cars only doesn't seem really attracting.

Seeing that boat on the sky O.o

Shizuka being really enthusiastic the first time then being really quiet the second time :/

The scenario writer seemed really professional! The director going on a spree and getting the ending. Cowboy to the rescue!

Some of the girls have made more progress than others. Well I still hope it turns around for Shizuka eventually.

Heh, the creation process at the end was pretty fun to watch unfold...now they just have to actually animate the spectacle.

Good episode :). Surely exodus is a weird anime, and that director's inspiration is something uncommon.
That final ep, running from the police, going underground... And suddenly a cowboy! I laughed so hard with that.
Misa is struggling... It looks like she has to choose between getting well-paid doing CG cars or try to achieve her aspirations.
And now Aoi's plush can talk, random boats appear in the sky and Kinoshita is able to see the main cast of Exodus!, this show really is a weird comedy lol.
I'm learning English so maybe I make mistakes :)

Seems Misa is having a hard time with her job and it seems the company owner was understanding about her.
From a career point of view if she works for this company a few years she can probably enter another company which works more to the things she wants to do.
Experience is importuned and seeing she is working in a respected company it will look really good on her resume, the company owner was probably thinking something like this as well.
She knows what she wants now she has to think on how to achieve it, it's nice to have something you want to do many people never truly know what they want to do with there lives.

Shizuka still has a lot to work for as well.
Her nerves get the better of her so she still has a few things to work on, but seeing the what the staff mentioned last time she has potential.
So a bit more experience with small roles will really help her.

I was so amused at the Director's suddent inspiration, until he mentioned cowboys with hundreds of horses, I cracked up. Miyamori's reaction with hundreds of horses was funny.

It was nice to see the girls struggling and working hard. Zuka may have a very small role but its a start. I can understand the President stick with car designs since its the only thing they see a means for a steady income. Its hard to imagine making tires and wheels for the next 3 to 5 years.

But what does walla mean?

Pretty sure Musani is going to ask Misa's company to handle the 100 horses because after all, the company does handle modes of transportation that rely on.... horsepower, AMIRITE?

Pretty good episode exploring the 3D animation studios and the dilemma that the workers go through in terms of how steadily they can live their lives at the cost of doing repetitive work for years. It was also the first episode of Misa, and I can't wait for the show to eventually explore the scriptwriting part of the industry and exploring Rii's character (my favorite girl with them golden irises).

Magito said:

'Walla' is just the American term used to signify the sound effect of a crowd murmur in the background. In the UK, this sound effect is called rhubarb, and in Japan, it's gaya (which is the term they used in the anime).

On another note, I'm truly getting worried for Aoi-chan as her conversations with her two "friends" keep occurring more frequently.

Ah that talk the three of them had hit home. Especially Shizuka and Midori, one not knowing if she'll even get a job while the other not knowing how to get to her goal. I personally still don't know what I want to do. All this uncertainty creates a lot stress x_x and Misa, not wanting to be stuck forever doing the same thing, because that's just not fun. I feel like most occupation is like that though, doing the same thing over and over again...and maybe for the rest of you life.

Lol at Director Kinoshita at the end. Like omg where do all these (random) ideas come from? I laughed because it was just so dramatic, although fitting for a finale I guess. I liked how he finally even understood what the main theme of his show is about. I can see it being kind of crazy and maybe too dramatic, but maybe also an ending that may give you the feels. Still, cowboy and lots of horses??? Would be overwhelming to animate all that, so I can see them going with 3DCG.

[/b]#BRING BACK THE AIRCRAFTCARRIER[/B]

Also that moment when you realize that all jobs are like that. You go into a profession hoping to start your future career. Hoping that one day you'll do everything you grew up wanting to do but then life reminds you that that isn't how it works you little shit and you end up having to settle and staying in the same position for years until you completely forget what it was you wanted out of your career in the first place and all you care about is paying off bills, putting food on the table, and saving up for your retirement which you will spend sitting around anyways because you're too old to actually enjoy any of the money you saved up.

That's the American dream ladies and gentlemen.

Director finally getting his motor running, but cowboys?
When are we gonna see more of Midori?

Damnit. I wish Shizuka would finally get some recognition. She definitely would've, if she didn't mess her tone while being a part of the walla.

Director's imagination is unlimited! Where did he get all those ideas from like nowhere? Pretty awesome actually, even though the ending is a little overt the top.

Decent episode. Director is going ham on the storyboard next week. Looking forward to that. XD

I am hopeful that she will go nuts and turn the director into one bloody donut! I mean, he has done it AGAIN and this time we are not talking about a little change, we are talking about lots of animation when he has already wasted any time they might have gained on the past episodes.

It's not that she was lost, it's her realising the production implications of having to animate a hundred horses. Good thing they have spare time in the production schedule....

If you remember what the pirate & bear dolls said, they do not have the time. For people to realize what a hundred animated horses mean, look at this classic (said animals were done with CGI btw):

Ham cutlets? Stewed pumpkin? Well these are new..

Nice ref from Prince of Tennis xD

Well... that was rather disappointing of Zuka.

For animation on just cars I didn't know how in-depth they had to be. Pretty eye-opening. And on just tires for that matter. But I understand that girl's worry, must be boring if she doesn't have any passion for cars.

I wonder just what Exodus! is about lol

Okay, this was a pretty slow yet cool episode. It does effectively bring up topics important in the business and it sets us up for a big finale. And that ending, well... at least we know what they're gunning for in the next few episodes.

Hell yes. That was the best.

That and 100 horses, cowboys, flying horses, sonic engines... Exodus! has a pretty memorable ending, huh? Samurai Flamenco probably tops it though. :P
But 100 horses will be impossible to animate in time. XD

The realism in this show is nice. Really nice. Though a bit depressing. :O

Besides being responsible for the production flow of the episode, Ema is also responsible for the key frames for Episode 13 (Shown when she was asking Aoi for the Storyboard). And it's established in previous episodes that Ema sucks at drawing animals.

So, Aoi imagining Ema has to draw 100 Horses....lol

I felt like Part of Shizuka's words were directed to herself when she said, "Don't lose. Don't give up." Shame she got embarrassed yet again.

Misa bored of her job and wanting to try something new. I am glad we got something about her, it was about time.

If Ema had to draw most of the 100 horses, I wouldn't blame her if she wanted to strangle the director thanks to his OTT ideas. XD

Overall, a pretty good episode. I do understand Misa's frustrations though. It can get tedious creating the same things over and over again for years, but it should give her the experience needed to move on to animate 3DCG in anime.

Thanks to the director, I'm pretty curious to see how he can put his ideas to the test in creating the ending of Exodus.

After three years of doing wheels she will still have zero experience doing fluid human body animations. It is like expecting someone who has done only nature backgrounds for years to do supèrb car drawings.

Cheesy line imo, but still hilarious.

Must be boring to work at a repetitive place where one draws tires every day. That Prius has some very nice rims. Not sure if that was Miyamori's car since her's is white and she was still at work.

So the guy in green stripes goes back to the cage to draw. A bit surprised there.
