| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nice, Toru and Chaika kicking ass in this tournament just like I had expected. Action is great with a lot of Chaikas taking on Akari and Frederica. I feel a bit sorry for Vivi since Alveric attacks them. I don't think she had the will to fight him directly until he came back to his senses. RIP hand That didn't end very well for Toru and others ;_; Damn it. |

So that's how the "Chaika Rangers" visualization looked like... This is going to have an original ending for sure, since they have changed the plot a lot. There's no way they can finish it in two episodes, especially if we consider the surprising chain of events happened after this... |

| Pretty epic episode! We finally got some Chaika on Chaika action, and some Saboteur on Saboteur as well. So I can't complain. Too bad its having to be rushed so much... But it was still an awesome episode! I wonder how they will wrap this up in two episodes? |
| It was good but they certainly rushed Gillette's return to his senses huh? His group and Red Chaika's group will help in defeating Black Chaika no doubt. 2 more episodes left now, time to find out what the point of gathering the remains really was. |
| Finally, Gillette recovers his memories but lost an arm before that... Red Chaika declares her loss, but Tooru still couldn't win against Shin. :c Really great episode and there were no boring moments for me. 2 episodes left and.....how are they going to end the series? |
| The battleground's scenario was pretty amazing. So that is how Black Chaika started all of this. Those puppet Chaika! Vivi attacking Gillette at the right moment and saved Nikolai's life! Glad he got his memories back. Red Chaika surrendering, I like how she values her companions! Everyone captured except Toru and having been told to give all their remains :/ Hmm, the floating castle would probably incite something. |

They have not changed the plot, they are just rushing some of the things that werer in the LN. It has been confirmed that this series will have more or less as the same ending as the LN. Vol 11 which would conclude the story will be released one week after the anime airs and the writer already has finished the drafts and sent them to the studio. What they are skipping is mostly the comedic moments, the battles were far longer and the inner dialogue has been cut out. The last LN volume , volume 12 will be released in march but that volume will mostly contain side stories. It will also have an ova with it. i mean cmon, there are series which are far worse of than this one. ...Cough Akame ga Kill Cough... This story will be concluded properly i almost have no doubt :D |

But we still haven't seen Toru ever fight him with his Iron Blood mode so he still has a chance. Too bad Fredrica got sealed <_< Well I guess she'd be too guess to leave unattended XD I wonder if Gaz really is inside Hartogen since Chaika calls him father? Oh and good for Vivi getting her Gillette back ^^ |

| I have to say, these episodes are getting more and more interesting... I didn't expect to be this into it, but I do really want to know what will happen to them now that they're all separated. And that Black Chaika reminds me of the Chaika last season (except this Chaika collects chaikas, which I find strange). It seems like the more powerful the people you pair up with, the better. |

| According to that retainer, Hartgen plans to be the second Emperor Gaz. I wonder if the first Gaz is currently possessing him somehow.. A lot of Chikas this episode, including those puppet ninja ones too! For a moment, I thought Fredrica got Akari's hand between the door and the wall. :O It cost Gillette his wrist before he came to his senses. Though I don't like Vivi that much, it's good to see she got back her captain. Toru & white Chaika vs David & red Chaika was pretty awesome! A bit surprised that red Chaika admitted defeat a little easily. Before, she would've been a tenacious one. Shin is too much for Toru to handle. Even if he used Iron-Blood Transformation, I doubt he would've won anyways. Good episode. Looks like they'll have to hand over the remains after all. I think black Chaika has her own motive and probably fooling Hartgen. |

| Pretty action packed episode this time around. It's nice they got all the battles they were setting up over with but it felt pretty rushed. The reunion between Gillette and Viivi isn't as emotional as i wanted it to be but still good. Still loving the choreography. People actually attack at the same time :o Seems like we got all the colors of the rainbow now. I highly doubt Fredrica is dead. This is her third time "dying" now? |
| I'm surprised Vivi had enough strength to wield Nikolai's sword. Not only that, but she was able to swing it faster than Gillette's saber. I'm calling BS on that so hard. Good episode, Fredrica seems to get pwned a lot considering she's a huge scary dragoon. |

| Toru and Chaika still on a quest to find the remains. Unfortunately for them, they encounter big challenges than ever before. Fredrice and Akari got caught by no other than Shin. Gillete finally remembered Vivi and Nikolai. All it took was to cut off his hand. Red Chaika forfeiting the match. Something was up with that. Shin owning Toru was just awesome. Still not yet cut out to be a saboteur he says. |
| Wat. Some fight scenes are too short and ended anti-climatic. Especially Gillette vs. Vivi/Nikolai battle... That was quick. Whaaaat, I still have some hope that White Chaika is the real Chaika, but its Black Chaika? :( Man, there's a lot of Chaika tho. I salute you, Red Chaika. |

But even though the main plot remains intact, there are far many things other than the comedic moments that were being altered. We are now on vol.9 and there are still two full volumes to go, but we get two episodes left, there is no way I can guess how they will end the anime. At least for this episode's plot, I notice the following differences: I am just wondering how they are going to end it with definitely not enough films left. |

They could be milking it for all the money it's worth and end the entire series with a movie, or something, no? I can totally see this happening. As for the changes to the LN, I think they pretty much skipped any and all Frederica development. The way they showed things in this episode makes me believe that they're going for something similar but ultimately different from what was in the LN. Think about it, Tooru wasn't even that hurt after getting beat down by Shin, he don't need a blood transfusion in that state. Plus, they only took away Chaika, even the preview showed Akari with Tooru in their vehicle. I think the directors are going for the shounen factor here: 3rd last episode: get beat down 2nd last episode: power up last episode: avenge the previous loss + happy ending... Still, I'm still not positive that starting another war is the remaining plot device here. If it were, then they wouldn't have any need for Niva at all, they could just recruit mercs and an army any time and start one. Plus, they never did explain what Guy really was or what his purpose was. I'm really looking forward to the next episode here! |

| Holy hell! Toru is in no way weak or a slacker but their mentor wiped the floor with him EASILY! And Im totally expecting black Chaika or the twin Chaikas to just stab Hartgen any minute after this. Hell, the power gap between Shin's and Toru's IBT's is probably greater than their normal power gap. |

| Frederica isn't that, she can't dye to regular wounds, only that spot in her head. Well, maybe cutting the head itself off would also work, but no matter how many arrows there are in her body, she won't die. They even said it there "we disabled the dragoons powers". While technically her powers are disabled when she is dead, too, wouldn't that be a bit pointless to mention? It's still sad that she nearly always gets taken out instantly. I mean, she would just be a bit OP otherwise, but that fast..she wasn't even using her dragon (true?) form, which is probably the strongest through mere size alone. And that long awaited final clash between red and white was over rather fast..same as the fight against Gillette. They are rushing a lot here, do they really intent to put the whole conclusion in two episodes or what? |

| Damn,Things are getting real! all the chaikas and the remains finally brought together, what with this black chaika?!? poor Viivi at least Gillette still alive, Chaika and Tooru make a great team and red Chaika choose to give up, its Shin again Akari and Fredrica captured........ 2 episodes left, cant wait to next episode :) |
