| Well I'm glad they decided to just go for 10 quality episodes rather than trying to make 12 that might not be as good as they can be. The latter episodes in Blade and Soul are a good example of a low budget lol |

| They adapted 6 volumes in 12 eps of S1 (with one ep being anime-original) and 12 volumes were planned (although looks like the last one will be a couple of side stories) sothey could adapt it all. |

Hey i want more Chaika as you can but think of these points i am going to point out. +It Will Have a Conclusion +It actually adapted the entire The LN series. from begging to end. +It Actually Got a Second Season despite Low sales +Unique Characters and Personalities +Low Use of Cliches (Compared to standard Shows these days) +Believable Romance development +Constant Mystery and foreshadowing (which after so many shows it is rare to a show these days to actually keep the mystery alive) +Retro Animation (for some of us older anime fans, the animation is reminiscent of the 90's era, Which i actually like :) altough some might argue with this. +Constant Action and Battle which are actually more believable comapared to most (even the use of Magic) -Not all of the material present in the LN is Adapted (as in some skipping and minor changes) -The Animation might not be top quality (Depends on your Taste) -Some Filler material -Some character Development are missing. Hey these are some of the positive and negative points i found within this show and for me it has more positives than negatives. It is rare to have an Anime show with all these qualities together in one place anymore. Also the Ova is most likely going to be some sort of epilogue. probably to show what has become with our main cast and other characters introduced in this story. either that or a fan service show but considering the one who wrote this i am leading towards the former than the later. Bottom line a great series that is worth watching and worth getting. I am buying this when it gets out in the west be it subbed or dubbed. Also i recommend this to anyone who wants a good Adventure, Fantasy,Action and Mystery story. |

It seems this show is extremely underrated; it removes all the cliche elements of "big budget" titles, and actually keeps the pace of the story going with good plot. I have no doubt that this second season will be good, even if it is only 10 episodes long. As others have said, it simply means less filler and more plot. |
