Well what may be emotional to you may not be emotional to someone else. I guess different people will react to a scene differently depending in how it's delivered and how they can relate to it. I personally thought Guilty Crown delivered when it wanted to but some will say they never felt any sympathy throughout. If you thought Guilty Crown was emotional then you should see other anime like Full Metal Alchemist. Try watching the original first and then watch brotherhood. I've heard a lot of people like Clannad and thought it was also emotional especially the sequel. I haven't seen those yet but I will at some point.

To me Full metal Alchemist was a masterpiece, but not so emotional. However I can see what you mean. I wanted Full Metal Alchemist to keep continuing.

You're looking at the completely wrong genre if you want to get emotional lol

Air
Angel Beats
AnoHana
Byousoku 5 Centimeter
Clannad + After Story
ef: A Tale of Memories + Melodies
Grave of the Fireflies
Kanon (2006)
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien
Little Busters + Refrain
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
Shinsekai yori
Steins;Gate

all quite famous examples of emotional series of different types

Guilty Crown does have a pretty "sad" ending per se, but it's so predictable and inevitable that it doesn't really hit as hard, and it's not the kind of show that's built up in a way to get you emotional in the first place, it's just a somewhat dark setting with a not-so-happy ending, that's all.

Hmm, don't feel like getting sad right now, but I will check those out. Watching baka to test right now(for the laughs).

It is a great anime to fap to, though.
Since that seems to be the only purpose.

Well, I agree that this anime made me scream ... but not for the good reasons. T_T

Someone gave a list of emotional animes and I kinda agree with it.

You could add Toradora to the list.

Eh, it's emotional in a cheap way. I still enjoyed it though, because soap operas are amusing.

By the way, your episode count for Naruto: Shippuden is fucking up your time spent watching anime counter.

Air,AnoHana, and Kanon were the only emotional ones. And even then Kanon barely was.

Taking it as an anime-recommendation kind of post, it annoys me when other people bash someone else's recommendations.

So nope, still neither.

It tries to be emotional. That I can say. But I was too confused in what the fuck was happening for me to feel any sympathy for Shu. Plus I never really liked Inori so no. For e it was not emotional.

Then watch something with better plot and better action instead of excepting garbage. -_-

It copies code geass anyway, might as well watch that and give this a show a 1.

Well I watched code geass, but I just love Guilty Crown better. I guess it's just personal taste

I thought it was very emotional. the ups and downs thru out the series was great. well you see at the end i cried. but i do understand why inori did that. so somewhat it was a good ending. and i have seen so much romance genre anime so i have seen a quite few with good and sad ending. even ones that had horrible endings... ill even list a few.. 1. Clannad was great i lked how the main character build up there relationship thru out the series. 2 Clannad after story. was amazing as well showed life outside of high school and the real world. but i do got to say that this one is the one that i have ever cried the most but the ending was sweet. 3. Chrono crusade the ending really surprised me i dont want to give any spoilers for those who have not watched it but i will say this it was kinda unexpected for me. 4 kokoro connect. i got to say this the ending did not surprise me at all but it was amazing series. 5 School days. now this one was great almost all the way thru the series but i hated the ending. i punched a brick wall in my apartment complex after i finished it. sometimes i wished i never watched it but i did. but i do recomend watching it. but i will never watch it again.. 6 SAO.. amazing series loved it. i thought the plot was amazing along with the romance as well. this one gave me few tears but they were happy. and somtimes it made me angry but this is on my top list of favorite anime to watch. 7 Green Green... this one was amazing i just wished they did not end it the way they did. the ending was heart breaking and very emotional. i thank this one is close to emotion i felt when watching guilty crown... now with all this information i hope that some people will understand everyone has there own emotional attachment to anime. like some of the other post said you need to watch more. i do agree with them because yes there is a lot of other animes series that are even more emotional. but for me guilty crown was in my top list of most emotional animes i have watched. but that said everyone has there own opinion. they may very from person to person but you will see they are somewhat the same....... but if you ever need any anime romance genre recommendations let me know. or check out my facebook just look for charles method should have a picture of asuna and kirito sitting back to back. and there should be a picture of some motorcycles as well.

Hum. I felt it was so-so. I became rather invested in some of the characters but that quickly disappeared after the 12th episode.

Uhh I do disagree with the "predictable" part because I know that many of us did not expect that twist at the very end. That twist made all the difference for me.

I'm sorry, but if you were able to get emotionally invested in Guilty Crown's embarrassingly badly written plot, then you are very easily entertained. Guilty Crown is garbage. Great soundtrack though.

What do you think are the most important things in life? Money, dreams, sympathy towards others...

Yes, they're all important things as well... But the most important thing is responsibility for your own actions.
