Sasami-san's blog as "previously aired part" is nice, with explaining that it's related to the God.

Oh, so Sasami-san's brother is a teacher, too, thought he was another student. Wow @ some kind of God getting souls of the players of online game? And Sasami-san's the key.

lol @ the ED (she's not singing at all).

hmmm in the manga the whole nursey scene was played when tsurugi, tama, kagami and kamiomi were already in the game...the reason i'm not complaning about this week is because i know about the goth loli tsurugi, the bunny sasami, and mizugi tsurugi

Urgh~~~~ I usually love episodes where characters get into a video game but they managed to make it unfunny and uninteresting, what the hell is wrong with them! And all the characters are just annoying!

Better than episode 1 but still not feeling it here... I guess underwhelming is the best word to describe it.

So Sasami's brother, who still refuses to show his face and probably never will, has the power to make any of his desires come true?

Pretty meh episode, the best bit was the dirty talking online bit, made me chuckle somewhat. Shaft continues with the randomness, but this show better pick up the pace.

First episode was better.

To be honest, I'm not sure what to think of this show. While I really enjoyed the first episode, I would have hoped it to be more a teaser/in medias res plot device than a formula for future episodes.

This episode in particular was kind of quirky and off-kilter in its own manner, as we seem to switch focus from the characters to some random plot. And while the first episode's plot was strong in establishing the world's ethos and the brother's siscon complex, this plot barely does anything except pander to otaku/gamers. I do have an affinity for the art style though, and it continues to be as breath-taking as it was in the previous episode.

Gave E01 an (8/10) in hopes that future episodes will flesh out the details and cast. Seems like that isn't the case here, and am gonna have to give this one a (5/10) - a big fat "meh".

Interesting episode. When I watched the 1st episode, I thought this series was a slice of school lilfe or a shoujo fantasy like Kamisama Hajimemashita. But this episode was like SAO. Shoujo version of SAO?? Will keep watching.

Makes a bit more sense now... the involvement of the gods... that is why the alteration happens...

Although, this anime is perfect to watch when you want to fall asleep. Just like the other people said, it is boring... I guess the art is to blame to since it uses such lazy colors.

Sasami = Kyon (the only "normal")
Tama = Mikuru (the moe factor)
Kagami = Nagato (the cyber-girl)
Tsurugi = Koizumi (the... homo?)

Not as great as episode 1, but still good. Main point it seems like was to kind of explain everything as most of us were going like DAFUQ the first episode. Still had lots of lolz especially with dat cyber rape.

That was interesting, the virtual world reminded me of SAO. I thought it was funny when Sasami tried to prevent them from using her computers and stuff. Generally though, it's really random, but I don't mind that much.

And a second part of the Shinto cycle is introduced with Orochi appearing. Sasami's blog entry at the beginning gives a great description of how polytheistic immanence (a characteristic of Shintoism and some other Pagan faiths) works. So is Sasami truly Amaterasu, and this series a retelling of how she is lured back to light the world, or is she simply a hikikomori with severe panic attacks whenever she leaves her house? Or is it both? My guess is that understanding the series may involve some folks doing a little research on Shinto beliefs...

In the game, one of the sisters says she is going to be a veterinarian because she has no interest in ordinary humans.

Eh, it was binary code. There are countless things to be reminded of by binary code.

I may be in the minority, but I'm really enjoying this show so far. Things needn't always be spelled out from the start.

A very disappointing episode, i just don't feel the 'Shafty' vibe from this episode, the whole episode mostly consists of switching back and forth between close ups and the same distance shots. The MMO part just dragging on and on, beside Sasami's various face and Kagami's habit of sleeping when things don't go her way, offer nothing interesting for me. The timing in these parts was somehow off as well, in addition of the lack of Shinbo's quirky style, those comedy part just fell flat.

Another issue coming from the later part, which was anti-climax due to its suddenness and (very) quick pacing, it's like Shaft is skipping a lot of novel material. Also, it would be nice if Shaft could maintain the same animation quality of the first episode, but that's probably me expected too much.

On the positive note, the monologue at the beginning gave us a better understanding of what happened in the first episode and provided an interesting premise for the show. But that's just not enough to remedy my issues in this episode.

Probably the worst episode of any Shaft show i have ever watched, never before i'm this disappointed.

Laughing at all you people who want plot. There's no plot. By the latest volume of the novel, Sasami and her faceless brother isn't even the main characters anymore. It's just random gods doing random things. Drop it now or move to other anime that have an actual story in it.
