EXCELLENT EPISODE! Big shout from the start. I was totally immersed and loved this episode for its many elements not seen in other animes intermingled with fan service, drama, rich character emotions and a nice BGM. Medaka keeps pushing itself.

About the beginning, Medaka’s intro from the last episode ending in the spoiler
was rather nice. It showed nicely the transition to the main part which this episode is about. I liked Medaka’s poses there.

About Medaka’s past, HOLY SHIT SHOCKING! Is really what I felt. That guy in the spoiler
who disfigured that girl and possibly killed her? THAT BLOOD on his hands! Damn SOB! How dare he do that to a girl! I would be in the same position as Medaka and most likely would kill the guy. I was long ago diagnosed with the problem of being BLACKOUT! A term that once you finish doing what you are, you don’t remember and most of time something violent or not wanted due to rage happens. So I can totally see Medaka losing it there as I would too except I was not exposed to violence like this luckily. Else I might have lost it like Medaka did. However there were other such situation where I might have lost it like Medaka. There is just this threshold we all have and suffice to say that guy made Medaka go over it due to the nature of the incident such as many were to me.

About the fight, on the elements that impressed me of Medaka is the one in the spoiler
BREAST WIRE MUTILATION! Basically when a girl pushes herself out of her means in the worst situation possible as causality of her most intimate places being damaged.
It shows a rather strong character of Medaka, that of not caring of her body when she fights no matter. Some females are Sissy in actual fights. Not Medaka, she ain’t afraid of any of her parts getting hurt. A rather impressive out take. Keep in mind that those are MEAT WIRES. Wires that can cut out the skin, just the realism was obviously missing this being anime. Normally Medaka’s breasts would be cut out in that spoiler.

Regardless the beginning in the spoiler
was nice to see. Unzen goes full out with Super Balls and Meat Wires later on. Medaka’s rush was nicely done there and so was Unzen’s insanity with his Super Balls. The wires are still surprising to have occurred suddenly.

When it translates into Unzen grabbing Medaka’s breasts in the spoiler
that was kind of raging.
HOW DARE HE! Grab Medaka’s breasts like that! They only get approved to be grabbed by Zenkichi or some friends with Medaka not a little twerp like him. Like kid has got some guts. He should play with Air Breasts and girls of his age instead. He might find favorable to reach the same age as her. There is far a too big Gap of age between Unzen and Medaka to consider anything of her to him in romance terms.

What comes even more surprising as the fight progresses is Medaka’s struggle in the spoiler
notice how much effort and yet pain it shows she endures in this whole process. Quite amazing and well shown in terms of her expressions TBH. I very moving part indeed.

About thee end of the fight, very very happy of it despite I would have preferred seeing Unzen leave in a ambulance. One of the things that is remarkable is as Medaka was about to punch Unzen to finish him off in the spoiler
Zenkichi! Kouki! Mogana! ALL OF THEM! Stopped Medaka. This was quite a emotional toll for me for them. TT_TT goes to their effort, feelings and emotions shown towards Medaka. Quite the nostalgia TBH.

About the aftermath, the aftermath really touched me in terms of how it flowed and was presented in the spoiler
one can notice the colors showing the peace coming back and Unzen having a character change a little while some the member of the committee still caring for him mainly Onigase Harigane and Yobuko. Still quite surprising to see. The happiness of Medaka’s gang was so nice. Ah the emotions that are so intense words cannot describe them.

Still amazing fight. Most impressed of is the following,

That I am indeed. Made me think of the coined term “Medaka Akuma” from Akuma in Street Fighter. Is that author a fan of the game? MEDAKA AKUMA! I call it first!

About thee end of the episode, to make it short I was most surprised at the following,

HOLY SHIT! Shiranui’s father finally! Man looks like some crazy wise man that can be a Shaoling Monk killer if he needs to use his powers. Reminds me a little of other anime characters in the old days if you notice how he dresses in the spoiler
still Shiranui being there was so nice with her facials. Always wins in the series for me. Oh and Unzen can got Fuuuuuu himself with his Air Breasts on Shiranui. Her DFC will beat his ugly face anytime.

About the preview, seems that there is a new girl in the spoiler
and it looks like things might stir up for upcoming last episode, which suggests also a second seasons most likely. Might edit later.

Medaka went beserk, destroying the school and nearly killed Urzen, too bad Zenkichi, Mogana, and Kouki stopped her before she killed him off. Medaka is super nice but do harm to to the wrong people and you die.

I like Shiranui's father, reminds me of a master monk, wiseman, or any other martial arts expert.

Nice! Let's hope it comes fast then. In the meantime, seems the manga will have to be read to know what happens next. Well if the manga sells more and brings in even more $$$ then a S2 season will come.

EXACTLY! I was thinking though he could kill. I mean look at his eyes. Those I saw loads on killer people like Kiritsugu from Fate Zero as a example.

I think there is a good chance of that. The TV series might make the manga sell more apart from the TV series itself selling.

WHAT? IMPOSSIBLE! Where is that confirmed? The filler might be to avert from the next arc starting. That's sad then. I was hoping they would start a arc to show a S2 will come.

Ah! That makes sense now. It would certainly make a BIG BOOM! To start the S2 with that arc since many say it's amazing. I nice gift to show the many who supported this series should it get S2 fast enough. I would say at most perhaps 6 months? After the BDs sell totally?

Nope, Flask Plan is pretty boring: it's a normal shonen arc (with the WORST antagonist in Medaka Box). The only good thing is Naze

The minus arc on the other hand is glorious.

Well, since there is one episode left they're gonna wrap this up so anime only watch can finish with a decent ending rather Code Geass-ing the end with no confirmation of a 2nd season.
Though there is a possibility,it's not 100% confirmed.Let's not put all our eggs in one basket & then go walking through a mountain filled with monster.
My Devianart

Oh & Space Brothers is still the best anime ever,in my opinion.Even when competing with Attack on Titan.

Even if it was only a small flashback it was awesome to see Kumagawa, this show needs a season 2 so people dnt think that the genre of this season is the genre of the entire series itself. Tho with that said i think (considering the episode count) that it would take 3 seasons to actually get to Minus arc...

Also this very much so, the Flask Plan arc is better than this "arc" if you can even call it that; but its nothing compared to the Minus arc, and gotta agree that the antagonist was garbage as well.

As silly as it sounds Medaka's biggest weakness is her overpowered strength which makes it impossible for her to fit in her environment under normal circumstances. Another problem is the lack of opposing forces who could counterweight her due to her strenght.

For now while she seeks the affection of normal humans by offering them affection herself this may work well. But who knows how soon Unzen will be proven right and Medaka will despair once she realizes that her efforts will be for naught as she cannot possibly reform every human in existence and that misdeeds due to human weakness are unavoidable. In that case she will become a threat to humanity herself if there isn't anyone to hold her back like Zenigata.

Near the end it becomes apparent as well that this is in no way a normal school (which should have been obvious for some time now) and that the director who appears to be Shiranui's grandfather has something special in mind with it...

Oh good so this time Medaka was going to straight up murder a ten year old boy. Ah well, Unzen was the most interesting character this show managed to produce even if he was chewing some major scenery I was still rooting for him.

Medaka Box as a whole as been a weird show. It started out a completely different show. I understand what it was doing but it took up 2/3 of it's run time just introducing the cast. It's like they were so sure this was going to be a long running show that they could take their time introducing their cast. And you know that would have been okay if the show had of been amusing when it was a Sket Dance rip off but it was horribly bland to watch. Then it did this whiplash genre shift at the last minute and I can't take any of this seriously. It's like all the worst elements of shounen battle anime all crammed into one anime. I don't know whether this show is supposed to become a deconstruction of shounen battle anime or not but that is the feeling I got from this arc. However, it really didn't do much of that this time so for now all I can really think is this show has done something I've never seen before in 12 episodes it went from one kind of bad anime to a completely different kind of bad anime which is something of an accomplishment I guess.

I really didn't like her hair color, it bothered me the whole time but she was indeed a monster, this episode and the previous episode showed what Medaka Box is about, it sure can be hard to follow sometimes but that's what makes it interesting for me.

I don't know if we will get a second season but I take it that they are interested in making another one (if the sales are high enough) because there is way too much foreshadowing.

Next episode original anime ending, let's see how it turns out.

The anime has so much potential but fails to capitalize it. Words can not truly express how much I dislike Medaka. What was she even fighting for, why, why in the world did they power her up so much, utterly ridiculous. She has absolutely nothing going for her at all, no redeeming qualities, or even motivations, even worst she isnt even driven by friendship. Why do shonen series have to resort to giving attention to these terrible characters, first last weeks episode of Saint Seiya Omega with Yuna, and now today with Medaka in Medaka Box.

Can Zenkichi get in on the action? Unzen was/is way more appealing than Medaka and even had the better premise. For all purposes, I had to agree with Zenkichi about him, except for the part of liking Medaka more. I can already foresee that he will be extensively out of the plot, ugh.

Also the episodes featured illustration wasnt that good, like a bunch of scribbles.

Quality post right here. And you figured that out without even the manga telling you to, touche. Touche indeed.

I think shounen action fans are so used to the underdog cliche who starts out weak and fight for the sake of his friends that they are biased over anything outside the box (pun not intended). Or how about the other cliche of being badass but not overly so and shows a degree of flair? It's still a lot different than what Medaka shows. Most people would not call her badass, but that she's so overpowered it makes her a bland character. The idea to her weakness sounds stupid, I know. And worse still, almost nobody can relate to it because most people aren't overpowered to start with.

But her inability to fit in the environment shows. For 15 years of her life, she only has one person she could call a real friend: Zenkichi. Most people just see her in awe because her power is so much more overwhelming than they do. Zenkichi is one of the only guys who is obviously a LOT weaker than she is, but he can still hang out with him. And in a lot of ways that's why I like Zenkichi as a character. He is the childhood friend who understands what she's going through, even though their power differences are like a world apart.

This series is so bad that it's enjoyable - look at Symphogear it had the same, nice idea but execution.
And honestly I don't care if next arc in manga is better or not, this is anime - might care about when I will start reading it. So yea, it's wasted potential here.

That fight :D ok I understand they talk a lot and that's fine... Dwarf was almost adorable this time (but a lot less intimidating). But it was clear that he can't win or that those ropes of him won't work.
Everyone is friend now and they love and dance together... only main character is abomination, that needs to be controlled not to go crazy (Haruhi anyone? there is a lot more similarities here between those two).

Some series got a s2 with desastrous sales and while Medaka's won't be the best, I beleive they will still be within the realm of decent.
Also, even though sales are often a good indicator, in the end it's up to the studio's whim.

For a serie such as Medaka which got a very big genre switch near the end of the first season you do not need to be a specialist to understand that it'll take more than this season to "test the water".

I think that the filler last episode is to be expected because another full episode following the storyline would make it enter in the flask plan arc.

I still can't get over Medaka's hair color in perses mode. I think it look ridiculous and they should have made it light blue/purple, the same color as her normal hair but a tad lighter.

This episode was brilliant. Loved Medaka's and Unzen's characterizations. The silly bit was how quick she returned to normal. Next episode will probably go back to the way things were. Which is a disappointment. If only the entire series was like these last 3 episodes, it wouldve been close to 9 worthy. I'm hoping for a 2nd season where the director's plans come into light and where most of the fighting is. Without episodes 9-11 I'd have probably given it a 5 or 6. Depending on the last episode, will see if I should give it 6 or 7. Maybe it'll surprise me and have me give it 8.

The only redeeming part of this episode was Medaka's boobs being fondled.

Next episode will be filler.
Still if there is a second season don't worry, it'll be action focused the whole time.
