| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This anime kicks some serious ass! :D YAY Auntie lives! This is great news! :D. She's a fantastic character :). Kouga is forced to take the credit for Jin's heroic deeds from last episode in a press conference by his father. Creepy Amagi grandpa has had Jin captured. Jin goes into cool Zetman mode to defeat a player in the arena. Grandpa Amagi asks Jin to join them to defeat the players. Episode ends with sneaky Haitani being sneaky :P. Looks like next episode will introduce pink haired girl from the opening. A possible love interest for Jin perhaps? ;) Jin = <3<3<3. |
| Dat dark hero. Also, according to the preview, a new girl is introduced and seems to be a tomboy? I haven't read the manga yet but judging by that reaction...oh well. She might be a love rival/interest for Jin maybe? :) Anyways, latest episode was kind of dull but I still enjoyed. |

| They sure are good at trolling us that Auntie is dead. (talking to anime watchers who haven't read the manga). BTW, Auntie lives!! And somehow, Jin's agreement was too fast to be ZET. Konoha is right, his brother only wants to be praised. That is some serious character development there. |

| This episode was a mess. It seems this show is unable to deliver any decent dramatic scenes. Even if rushed, the simulated death was horribly done. As a result the revelation lacked any sort of dramatic effect for even me, someone who hasn't read the manga. At least he's now officially ZET. |

| Omg this anime is getting better and better,so far it has the potential to turn out to be perhaps one of the best animes so far of this year. Love the OP it just kicks ass and gets you really into the theme and fighting mode. Plus I think Jin is such a hottie both in human form and as Zet. Also i just love how he is soo caring and whiling to protect those he loves and still kick ass. * Jin is definitely going on my list of Fav Characters* Can wait for more!! |

| I guess this was marginally better than last week's episode but it was still a pretty big train wreck. Jin continues to have zero personality or charisma as an adult. It's sad that the best part of the episode was Kouga's flashback to Jin as a child because it reminded me of the first episode. There was more emotion and development in that one episode than there has been in the last two. The pacing is just god awful. There is no time to stop and digest anything that happens because the anime is always running towards to the next point which kills any dramatic scenes. It desperately needs to stop and breathe every once in a while so the viewer has time to take in what is happening. All of the stuff with Auntie this episode was just god awful which is a shame because she is the only likable character in this show but the troll scenes with her had zero impact. It's not really a good troll if we don't have time to get worked up before the "yeah, she's still alive comes." Instead we get some half-assed explanation for what is going on. The anime gives the bare minimum of context and the plot is so paper thin at this point. There is no depth of complexity here. There feels like there is so much missing. It's just they've gutted the heart of this anime to get to this bland and boring story. I don't know anything about the manga but I can see an interesting story buried under all the shit but it's like they are cutting all the interesting stuff for the sake of simplicity. If Zetman was popular enough to warrant an anime then they should have at least put some consideration into the amount they could get done in 12 episodes because at this rate it's just going to end up a generic dark shounen anime with a little more gore than usual. Finally the characters are all terrible at this point. Jin has no personality, Kouga is a rich twat having a half-assed internal struggle and Konoha exists and says words. Development and characterization are almost non-existent right now. The worst is the old man. He is such a bland evil for the sake of it kind of character. Make money at all costs no matter how retarded or dangerous the plan may be. Now he's trying to clean up his mess and Jin for no real reason decides to trust him. Everything the guy has told Jin makes him out the be a slimy villain but Jin having no personality of his own just goes along with it because... that's what the scrip says I guess. Anyway, this anime deceived me. The first episode was so good but these last two episodes were pretty big turds. 2 out of 5 |

| I loved the part in the white room as the animtation style really appealed to me and isn't that common in current anime today. The fact that Jin had to cut off his ties to his aunt had a much bigger impact than her supposed death that had no foreshadowing but that is to be expected since it was just a simulation. |

| I understand everything except: why does his real auntie smell like a "player"? I under stand why the fake one did, but why does his original smell like one/he can't go near her...etc? Kinda weird. Overall, it felt rushed but it had some awesome moments. |

| Disappointing Word of advice people: DON'T expect a good pacing in this show. They are squashing dozens of Manga chapters into too few episodes so the whole damn show will be rushed as hell. Anyway..., are they skipping that arc? Impossible, the characters are in the OP so I'll guess they are just delaying it... or changing their role... MM-Rosiie said: That was super rushed. The grampa's reasoning was not bad (once Players find out about him, those he cares about are dead... and Jin can't fight the enemy without Grampa's help) and additionally Auntie's life gets much better. The only risk here would be "Is Grampa kind or a villain?" but I am not sure how much Zet would care about Justice and stuff... his motivations seem personal. I understand everything except: why does his real auntie smell like a "player"? I under stand why the fake one did, but why does his original smell like one/he can't go near her...etc? Only the clone smelled like a Player. Reason will be explained later... hopefully. Jin can't approach the real one because Players are getting aware of his existence and would use his beloved ones against him. He said in the episode that he created them because he needed money. (He didn't say what for though...) People would pay to see the players fight each other. We saw that in the first episode where all the rich people were watching the battles. | Definitely felt rushed. Are they seriously trying to condense over 100+ chapters into 13 eps? What a mess really. The first ep drew me in, but now things are just all over the place. Dramatic scenes no longer have impact and the plot is moving way too fast to connect with any of the characters. It's a shame really. This had so much potential to be great. I like the plot and conflicts surrounding certain characters, but with things being so rushed I just can't connect with them. The whole deal with the oba-san simulation and Jin seeing the real one in the car could have had major impact if the pacing was normal =/ |

| I think it was a good and enjoyable episode. I dont think they have established an actual antagonist yet, unless Amagi corp dude is actually going to betray Zet, or that other group that appeared in episode one after Jin's fight are antagonists form him. Though then where does the other dude, Jin's friend fit in to this? I feel a bit disappointed that the op or ed shows the red zet they mentioned in the episode, hope Jin gets it fast. Lastly confused on auntie, why cant he see her, and is that the real one? |

| This episode of Zetman featured some rather risky ecchi fan service in my BLOG: http://ecchiking99.blogspot.ca/2012/04/gore-and-fan-service-of-zetman-episode.html Whom features Blank Breasts, Blank privates and ass of Akemi. Now one wonders WTF did they not do this in the bath and I can assume it was due to Jin’s age but now I think about it, it comes back to lame way of marketing this anime. I got to say this “You punk producers are stupid cause Zetman is more on the gore and violence going. It’s more about that than fan service. If anything to show us how much you good, you should censor not the gore.” That’s what I was thinking IMO. Clearly the episode’s favorite is the following,  Now that was nice ZET hit! I loved it! Looks like Mayu in the following,  Has feelings for Kouga. Not sure if she is the girl who will be in trouble in the future but it could be. However in the manga did she not have blond hair? Anyway I did find the Ring of Exposure to be interesting as the concept of the face was similar to Aliens concepts. It looks like all is explained in this episode. Amagi old shit head used as means Mutative ways to make warriors to fight each other to an end to make money. STUPID! Let’s see: A)Endangering lives. B)Illegal experiments. C)World Disaster (the product infects all of Earth?) Who knows. Just those 3 make more than enough as stupid for this way to gather money.
