Note: I don't frequent MAL as often as I did in the past. If you have a question, aim for ask.fm, Skype (if a friend), or e-mail (if more 'business-related' or personal).
Hi, I go by name 'mdz.'
Feel free to comment on any of my posts, my stances, or my ratings on any particular show. I don't mind explaining. If you just want to talk, then I don't exactly mind that either.
Feel free to comment; better yet, feel free to argue. If I offended your shit show, then defend it. Better yet, attack one of mine. I have Zero no Tsukaima as an honest favorite. If you can't criticize that, then you're an idiot. If I'm acting like a self-righteous, cocky teenager, then prove me wrong.
But introductions aside, if you have a question, just ask. I'm generally not a mean person. If you want an explanation about a show that I'm covering, then feel free to ask; if you have a 'problem' with one of my ratings, then bring it up and I'll attempt to explain. I'll treat you based off the first impression. Whether it's acting like an elitist, pompous tool, or as a respectful, courteous guy. I really prefer the former, comes more naturally, but if you're a reasonable guy, you'll probably be seeing the latter [don't be reasonable].
But by all means, argue with me [or just hold a conversation]. I don't really care if your diction isn't as complex as it could be, or if your syntax is basic, or your rhetoric banal; it's just a conversation. If I'm talking to someone, it's because I want to.
[I wrote this when I was 16. I'm keeping it because I'm intimidated by my past self. I think that was the intent. Man, I used to be cool. What happened? If you can't tell, half the things I say aren't to be taken solemnly.]
Note on Ratings
My ratings are probably inherently biased towards series that contain romance. The ratings are relative. They are tentative, at times arbitrary, and subject to change. I watch anime for enjoyment. It's just simpler to explain it objectively.
Hi. The link to the summary you made of the visual novel "White Album 2" isn't working properly. If it's not too much of a bother, would you please send me a copy of your summary, even if it's just after the ending of the anime adaptation. Please and Thanks!
RIP your blog?
I kinda wanted to know the opinion of someone that had read SAO's Novels when it was being released(Found ya in the forums of SAO episodes.)
No worries. I apologize for the late response myself.
Yeah, it really is. But it depends on what you do as well. IT, in general, is a busy career, and requires one to constantly learn to keep up with the latest technology in the industry. I don't mind doing that, as I feel that the payoff is worth the investment. Most of the time, anyway. Good to hear that you might have the chance to work in Japan. I have yet to visit the country myself, but it's definitely a place I'd like to check out one day in the near future. Perhaps once I find myself a girlfriend we'll visit it together.
Nice to know that you're doing well, man. I'm only watching anime nowadays myself, and haven't been reading any VN's since Fate/Stay Night, back in 2015. Anime fits into my schedule a lot better, as I can watch a few episodes a day and stop whenever I want. With VN's, particularly the long ones, I find that it's easy to lose track of time when I get into them. Boku no Hero Academia is a fun show, yes. Princess Principal, Made in Abyss, Classroom of the Elite, and Ballroom no Youkoso are my favorites from this season, though. You might like Classroom of the Elite for its resemblance to Oregairu.
Cool. I hope it was good, if not great for you so far. I've been very busy lately with work, which has been eating away some of my weekends. Last weekend, for example, I was stuck with a tedious project and had to work for a total of 28 hours, supporting the client. It was rough, for sure, but I'm glad I toughed it out.
Work life aside, I'm still the same old me, finding a good balance between socializing with friends, playing sports, and watching Chinese cartoons. Strangely enough, I have yet to lose interest in anime at my age, even though I thought I'd grow out of it by now. Guess I'm still a young guy at heart. :p
This season has been pretty decent. I'd suggest checking out Classroom of the Elite and Made in Abyss, if you're wondering what to watch.
The King's Avatar is pretty good, eh? I think it really helps that I know Mandarin well, because the nuances would be next to impossible to translate over to English. I gave up trying to read the English subs, as it's not that great.
