made right now TT_TT OMG Ayaka. WTF happened! Why did she do this! I am totally depressed due to the spoiler
hey man that is fucking blood seeping out! Unless someone brings her in now to the hospital she is done for. If you notice her eyes, someone might have fed her some of Angel Fix drug. Rather easy to force feed a pill to someone. So is it suicide or someone pushed her out in the middle of the night and dragged her to the school. My motive for that is the green house my be a place to make the plant with the seed for the drug.
We are talking about opium here and the pill is just a new means to take it. Usually I think you smoke it. Ayaka! Goddamn it! Total drama that hits it hard. This could turn into a huge scandal if that teacher is involved.
Ayaka's brother as follows,
is my primary suspect for Ayaka's death. No fucking way she did this herself. I don't believe it. I hope they are going to find that fucker who did this to Ayaka.
bet you anything he might be a accomplice in Ayaka’s death and on top of that he might even be a dealer that spreads out AF. That drug totally makes in your own world but totally saps fast your health. You would be best to gt weed guy.
You see my suspicion arise simply from Ayako’s behavior in the spoiler
doing that face around that house and spying on Hitoshi and fearing at he found out? Sounds to me like fear for something. In thee end, I am still depressed and need to cool off. Can’t believe I could write this. I need to calm down! WTF HAPPENED! MAN! Ayaka was such a joy to see with Yuuko in the spoiler
and now she is dead?
Anyway I got emotionally moved and this episode is amazingly well directed with the end being the most hurtful and well put forth. I hope you live Ayaka. I hope. Being I super charged emotional anime week so far.
Found the Definition for Opium and what it does in the spoiler
Effects on the Body
The power of opium's effects depends on how it is delivered into the body. It works fast when smoked, because the opiate chemicals pass into the lungs, where they are quickly absorbed by blood vessels and sent to the brain. Opium's effects occur more slowly when it is eaten or mixed in a liquid, because then the drug has to pass through the stomach and upper intestines, and into the liver before moving on to the brain. The process of digestion weakens the drug as it passes through the various organs before being absorbed by the bloodstream.
An opium high is very similar to a heroin high. The user experiences a rush of pleasure, followed by an extended period of relaxation, freedom from anxiety, and the relief of physical pain. Breathing slows and the pupils of the eyes become like pinpoints. In the brain, opium binds to the receptors that search for pleasure-enhancing endorphins and painkilling enkephalins. Because opium floods these receptors, it produces a higher state of pleasure than the body can produce on its own. Opium also inhibits muscle movement in the bowels, leading to constipation, or the inability to have a bowel movement. It works on the part of the brain that controls coughing and—especially when smoked—can dry out the mouth and the mucous membranes in the nose. The effects of a dose of opium last about four hours.
A Hard Cycle to Break
Continued use of opium produces two effects: 1) tolerance, or the need for greater and greater doses of a substance to achieve the same original effect; and 2) dependence, a physical and psychological craving for the drug. When people take higher doses, or take opium more often, they run the risk of overdosing. An overdose can kill because people just stop breathing and quickly die of asphyxiation. (It was this effect that led the ancient Romans to use opium as a poison.) Dependence occurs when the user begins to experience withdrawal symptoms when the drug's effects wear off. These symptoms occur because, in the presence of opium, the brain stops making its own pleasure-enhancing compounds. So, the rest of the body adjusts to the presence of the drug as well.
When the user quits taking opium, the body rebounds with a set of withdrawal symptoms that mimic a bout of the flu. The symptoms include watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing or yawning, muscle pains and involuntary motion, anxiety and agitation, nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, and cold sweats. Some people experience goosebumps, which is where the term "quitting cold turkey" came into being. These unpleasant symptoms can last from three to five days.
If quitting opiates was as easy as overcoming a bout of the flu, addiction would not be a problem. However, most opium users also suffer an extended period of dysphoria (diss-FOR-ee-yuh), a long-lasting period of anxiety, depression, and lessened enjoyment of life. It is dysphoria that usually leads the opium user back to the drug for relief—and the whole cycle of abuse starts again. Addiction to opium can turn good citizens into criminals as they search for ways to obtain the drug. In the regions of the world where illegal opium is grown, farmers who wish to make an honest living are often bullied into growing poppies by corrupt officials, or forced to grow them out of economic need. Even if they do not use the drug themselves, they are trapped by the environment of crime that opiate addiction creates.
Looks bad for Ayaka's brother. More later.
BTW Image Stitches in the spoiler
Yuuko is always pleasant to see on the bigger plan

Ayaka dead?
........4/5
No fucking way dude! I hope not but if it be so and they tell her death with some supernatural scene of her ghost and stuff, I will cry some more. Super emotional dude. I loved Ayaka! She was funny at least and not annoying to me.

There is a possible of Suiciding too, she even stop Narumi to go in green house.
I don't know but she may know something about drugs and she took it herself and died. That dead could not be from jumping from the roof when you looking in her eyes.
We even got a bit back story of her, that she were sick of being on the class, she was very lonely before meeting with Narumi.
I don't know what to said about this one, but I am sure Narumi will changed after her dead.

Yeah but that's because she could have been collaborating with her brother in all this. Who knows, threats could have been used.

I don't think she took them herself. Someone did something to her and looking at the episode preview someone cleaned up her body totally. NO WAY! I smell big shit to finish up this season of this series.

Then how do justify the time in the spoiler with Yuuko? Poker face and of it was pretend? No way again. She showed some smiles and blushing towards Narumi so no way she would have a poker face towards all that.

Me neither but it screws up my emotions. Ayaka was a good comedy relief.
Anyway lots of speculations but I am really disappointed they decided to do this to Ayaka of all characters. Why no x girl from school? I know, drama and impact.

The ending of this episode hit me right in the stomach. And personally, from the way it looked and from the preview for next episode, I think she's gone for good, which gets me all teared up right now. Damn. I think I need a beer or five.
Oh, and that red flower you mentioned is prolly an opium poppy.

I want Rambo in a mecha-suit with a laser-chainsaw gun that fires nuclear warheads, fighting the love-child of Predator, Alien, a group of Bangladeshi terrorists, and Satan. (Actually that would be a pretty sick show) - StopDropAndBowl
The ending, oh my gawd... Ayaka committed suicide?! NO, and just when I started to like her even more. D: Didn't expect that since she seemed quite happy, nice act on her part. Shame she's actually gone just like that. Damn, that smile right before her death too. No more Ayaka teasing Alice anymore? brb manly tears. :'(
Last 2 episodes shall be good though, Narumi determined to solve this AF case.
It could of been suicide, I mean she was having a hard time, because of her brother. As a character she really wasn't that important to me, but I still feel bad for her. The preview seems to show that she's dead, but who knows, maybe she survived.
Eh.......... O_____o
did she committed suicide? and dat preview. "After losing Ayaka" .. her brother did something and she committed suicide? or someone killed her? and those eyes. it's like she didn't sleep for a long time.
That was a big twist. now it will get really interesting, i was thinking it's getting really slow pace lately but now two episodes left with this mystery. can't wait.
DAAAMMNN!!!!!!
never in a million years thought she was gonna do that!!! :'(
But she seemed to have bags under her eyes, wonder if someone gave her the drugs...
NO WAY!?!?!?!?
In the preview for the next episode, Narumi said "after losing Ayaka", but I don't think that phrase meant that Ayaka is dead.
After all, if you look at Narum in the previewi, he seemed pretty determined rather than sad or depressed. So maybe he meant they lost Ayaka some other way, not death. Besides if you observe the preview, no one seems to be grieving.

The most abrupt end to any episode I have ever seen in my life O.O
:c I never saw that coming at all
I think we got hints from Narumi's narration in the previous episode. They were just so vague that it didn't dawn on me that Ayaka's life was in danger.
Light novel Spoiler about this arc
It is mentioned that Ayaka was to die soonerfall and go into a coma in the light novels and that the Anime pushed this arc towards the end of the season. It would explain her not being a big part of the Renji arc as to why Ayaka was hardly around after the early episodes. It also explains why Narumi was suddenly Alice's assistant as It seemed like it was Ayaka's job previously.
Edit: apparently she didn't die in the light novels but she did suffer a coma and then amnesia
My last thought is it explains the awkwardness in some of the conversations between Alice and Narumi and their closeness to each other during the Renji arc. tragedies usually brings people closer together. I'm sure the part of sharing the Alice's "burdens" had some elements of coping with Ayaka's accident. I feel the director wanted to spread out melancholy moments between the suicide call girl arc and Ayaka's Arc so the anime wouldn't get overly gloomy. However, in doing so the shift caused some fragmenting in dialogue that I think confused some watchers. As this arc plays out I get the feeling we'll see some elements of kinship between Alice and Narumi that explains their feelings and behavior towards each other. The one side effect that I think the director intended is that it gave us a sense that Ayaka was part of the team and that her departure would have more meaning if she was around longer in the series. I think it worked. I had thoughts of a possible love triangle with Narumi, Ayaka, and Alice.

Really? From what I read...
Ayaka falls in a coma rather than die in the light novel. When she wakes up from her coma she has amnesia (Source: Wiki). Although, I could be wrong since it is wikipedia and all.
I didn't like this episode. It was just a series of unfinished conversations in which nobody said what they meant. Cheap melodrama. Especially since nobody's cared about Ayaka since the first episode.

I guess your right, I read it different somewhere. It was most likely an overzealous fan.
For the most part I still think my comments fit the situation. I've edited it accordingly. Thank you for bringing that up.

So I see, that proves my theorems of someone force feeding her the drugs or for all we know mixing it in her stuff. Was she not like living with her brother?
I am telling this guy in the spoiler
is the one I fear the most. He looks to be a mastermind and if Ayaka was in the way of his precious drug selling shit then it's all staged. Second time watching and you know what? I want that shit who did this to rot in jail.
It's really strange but after the comments, I can say that I am glad not to be alone in feeling how I felt towards Ayaka at the end and to have been starting to like her character more than ever.

It would be nice like I suggested that someone did find her lying like that and brought her to the ECU. Then perhaps broken bones and concussion causing memory problems would be the worse.
Not calling her death yet but it really is horrifying as much as Blood-C's eaten people. Level wise for me. Hope she gets saved.

- BLOG- My Club- Easiest way to reach the rest of my thoughts!
Ayaka... killed herself? Whoa, this week was full of unexpected moments. Poor girl, must've been really hard for her. Slowly, this series is actually showing signs that it's gonna end.
On the other hand, anyone notice how much mature Alice looked in the preview?
wow... didnt see that coming... thats for sure... and here i was seeing her run across the street joking i thought "she gets hit by a car lol..." then the ending...
"If only if only, the woodpecker cried, the bark on the tree was as soft as the sky" || ♪My mind, heart is broken♫
I kinda had this feeling that she was a character they would cut out in some way, but still that was harsh. I think Narumi will have some romance with Yuuko tbh...
But only 2 episodes left :\
I have my doubts in believing that was suicide even if she was troubled allot it's not worth killing herself for.
Tho i have to say that her brother being on drugs was definitely the main reason for her death drugs ruins life's not just for the people that use it but also for the ones around them.
I know and have known a few people who where on drugs and my advice is stay away from and don't use it even if you want to try it out it's not worth it!!
It's really sad since halfway during the episode gave a very romantic feeling to it Narumi and Ayaka looked so close and watching the looks of there classmates was also very nice.
Those arm signs that Narumi gave Ayaka looked so nice and they where a very nice present.
And he tried to protect her from knowing a truth that would hurt her but in the end she still found out.
He tried his best to help her.
I wonder how the group will deal with there loss especially Narumi and how will his class respond to the news.
They will probably put more effort in solving the case now but a shame it's to late.
Normally in Anime there so against high school students consuming alcohol yet they where eating tiramisu which contains liquor.
Well, in the preview, Narumi said he realised something after he lost Ayaka, which probably means she's dead (we'll probably know for sure in the next episode)... and I totally didn't expect it... It was a good episode though xD
I was thinking this episode was really boring with that girl's emotional hang-ups. Here I am thinking "Okay yeah yeah she'll be upset but then Narumi will reconcile her with her brother and everything will be fine."
I rarely ever post but this episode just got to me that much
From Narumi's narration at the end of the episode "I've see that smile of Ayaka's once before. But even now, I can see it as if it were yesterday. That unmarred smile of hers." its safe to assume she is dead and it came so suddenly too as she happily said "See you Tomorrow" after Narumi's miswording about how the rooftop was their special place (and with a blush even).
When I first saw the suicide scene I was praying it was just a dream of some sort because of the visual effects on the flowers until I saw the preview which basically deemed her dead as it showed scenes of how she is now missing from her usual crowds, the spot from the end of the episode where she bled and Narumi's Narration where he wants to find the lost words of those who are dead, primarily Ayaka's.
If by some chance she lived and shes only hospitalized right now I would be SO SO HAPPY however the sad truth is from the amount of blood she lost during that scene I don't see that possible at all.
I was probably on the verge of tears at the end of this episode and I couldnt even stomach what happened, I would have cried if I wasn't spoiled by Clannad and re-watched it like 5 times.
All I have to say that Ayaka was not annoying by any means and was not a bad character, she was a sweet sincere girl. I don't believe that being neglected by her brother or discovering he does drugs would drive her to kill herself, it just isn't right. I really hope this anime or arc will have an excellent end to make up for the death of a loving character.
