| Well, this was a better episode than the first. The plot of it was generally more interesting, even if it wasn't incredibly enjoyable or anything. Still, the first episode was boring, this one wasn't, so that's an improvement in of itself. It also helps that the episode is mostly told from the perspective of likeable characters this time. |
| Man, I love this show! So can't wait for next episode. The pace in this episode was definitely better than last episode's. I can see how it turns some people away, though personally I lurf iiiit. |

| Like everyone else, i agree that the old lady was creepy the way she went "dont call the doctor" O.O but the creepiest thing i think is, how the bushes moved out side of the blue haired guys window O.O and then he shut it, and then he went to open it and i was like "HOLLY SHIT DONT OPEN THE WINDOW THING! D:" i think megumi's already came back as a vampire, and is stalking him again >.> but thats just me.... |

| Am still hating the hair. I like the eyes though. I don't mind the slow pace, reminds me of other thrillers and horror films. Creating a setting is important, otherwise we'd be complaining about it going to fast and being unbelievable. So far the story is interesting enough that I want to watch more. Is this a favorite yet? No, but it is enjoyable. We'll just have to see if the story keeps me around despite the fugly hair. Seriously, I barely can't stand it. |

I thought it was a bit of a horror element to the show (honestly). Anyways, the plot thickens. There are SOOOO many characters--but I'm pretty sure this story is more about the mystery than character development. It'll be interesting to see where this all goes. |

I like the atmosphere that it builds. I just hope when the show finally decides to reveal more it doesn't spoil the creepy "something lurking in the shadows" feeling. Yuuki is more annoying than Megumi ever was. She was an airhead dreamer and his a gloomy asshole. that's even more annoying if you ask me. In a way it's classic teenage behavior from both. Zombie themed shows are action packed b-movie style horror shows. This is more like a mystery thriller. Ghost and vampires are more fit for such kind of theme. Zombies are good to see blood splashing around and gunshots. Stick to Highschool of the dead for that. |

| First episode was good; this one was better. I'd say this would be a contender to Mitsudomoe for my second-favourite anime of the season, but the two are so different that comparing them seems a little pointless... still, point is, I love it so far. I really like how well they've brought across some of these characters - Megumi may have been a rude bitch for half her screentime in episode one, but she was human enough that throughout this episode I felt sympathy for her death. That's good characterisation when an anime can do that to you. At least that's how I'd define it. I also like the doctor and the monk; glad things are shaping up so that we'll probably see more of them. Natsuno? Eh, sure, he's not the most likeable guy ever, but I can put up with him for the time being. So long as he's not uninteresting I can't say I care too much for his people skills. Oh, and it's refreshing to see a horror plot where they don't showcase the 'monsters' early and ruin all their mystique. I mean, sure, we've had the occasional glimpse, but that's it. So far, other than the anaemia thing with Megumi, you wouldn't really be able to tell that this was a vampire anime (as opposed to, say, a ghost anime) if you didn't already know. I like that. Builds the mystery. The art style deserves comment too. It's weird, particularly with the eyes and the sometimes bizarre hairstyles, but it suits the tone well, and the unrealistic hairdos do at least manage to help distinguish the important characters. True, they can be a little garish at times, but I can't say I've noticed so far, so all's fine with me. Only thing I'm not certain on is the soundtrack. Most of the time it's fine, though the opening and ending themes are pretty forgettable for me (though the opening animation is a different story), but what was with that weird beat-boxing stuff? That just put me off a little. I could do without it. Overall, though, loved this episode. Eager to watch more. Hope it stays this good! Monad said: Lilgnomy said: I want zombies, not vampires. | meh that was boring. I think I expect too much from this. Its kinda creepy when the old woman neck spin and said don't call the doctor. All of the deaths doesn't make me feel scared or anything, but I hope I get an answer for this. And yes the pace is slow but I'm not going to drop this. |

| I'm liking this series so far. I like the eerie vibe a lot. --"Don't call the doctor." I loved this scene. Probably my favourite out of the whole episode. Creepy. --I was relieved that I didn't have to see so much Megumi this time. She really irritates me. --I like the doctor & the young monk so far. --I'm hoping I'll eventually get used to the character design.
