So I joined this site because I found it on Google Images and figured that seeing as I've been getting into anime lately I may as well. We'll see how long it lasts.
Obviously I'm currently new and am therefore a total whore for friend requests so that I may appear popular and assuage my lifelong social issues and crippling self-doubt. This situation will probably persist until I get around 100 friends here, at which point I will suddenly metamorphose into a snob and start setting people pretentious questions about Wittgenstein before accepting their friend requests (DISCLAIMER: I don't actually know much about Wittgenstein). Until then though, add away! I'm also on MSN if you want me. [/whorewhorewhore]
Oh yeah, and as you can clearly see I don't have a problem with language, or indeed very much by the way of things Christians some would find shocking. On that note, if you're offended by something I say, please bear in mind that I'm probably joking and don't mean any offence towards particular people (if I start swearing my head off and telling you to die in a hole then you can consider that disclaimer null and void, but that doesn't happen very often). I'm pretty liberal overall, in most senses, and I don't judge - far too much to be judged on myself!
Anime-wise, I'll watch just about any genre other than sports (not a sporty person). My preference is probably, loosely, for seinen anime, though, with a bit of shounen mixed in for good measure (yes, I'm one of those absolutely tasteless people who likes Bleach). Manga-wise, well, similar really, though I don't read much of it yet. Korean drama-wise, I've never watched any, I'm just looking for Asian things to describe my preferences on to fill this paragraph out. Ok, I'm done now.
Favourite anime:
- Lucky Star
- FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Death Note
- Bakemonogatari
- Angel Beats!
- Bleach
- Darker Than Black
Favourite manga:
- Bleach
- Lucky Star
- FullMetal Alchemist
- Lost+Brain
(There will be more when I've read more.)
No idea why I'm putting those here. Guess I'm just too lazy to go put them in the proper place at the moment. Oh well!
Do comment, do add as a friend, blah blah blah whore whore whore again. For now, though, valete!

How are you doing? Could come up with a better more interesting question, but that one usually does it okay.
And yes, I'm a huge LOTR nerd. Well, of the movies anyways. I'll admit that I've never really been a devoted Tolkien follower, even if he did deliver some of the most ambitious and impressive fantasy writings of our time. The movies were really my introduction to Middle-Earth, so I have a hard time accepting anything else. Which sounds strange, but you know... it is what it is.
Ahh, sweet. Once I get some actual cash on me, I'll make sure to plop it down for a copy then. The fanboys are at arms about whether it is really a worthy sequel or not, but that sort of thing always seems to happen with the release of something that has been hotly anticipated.
Battle for Middle-Earth is one I did end up getting into, but that was mostly because I was such a huge Lord of the Rings fan at the time. Still am. Just not quite as obsessive. Thinking about possibly giving Starcraft II a spin, after hearing so much about it.
Resistance most certainly is not incredible, at least from what I've played of Resistance 2. It is fun, but it isn't really the 'killer-app' that some fans make it out to be. I've heard that is more what Killzone 2 is about, but I've yet to take a gander at it. The graphics are soooo pretty though. They nearly make my brain melt.
So tell me, do you like giant robots? XD
Right now I'm really into Resistance 2 and Super Street Fighter IV. I used to be really into Final Fantasy and that sort of thing, but I've kind of been falling out of it lately. Persona 3 and Persona 4 are the only real RPGs that I've been consistently revisiting. I love those games so much.
I consider my tastes in video games to be pretty broad for the most part, though I don't usually like strategy, sports, or puzzle games. Besides that, I'm open to play just about anything.
Anywho, let us change gears. Are you into video games?
I don't know if I'd say I have "better" standards, I've just seen a lot more, including the other stuff from this specific company, so I have more to compare it to, but that's probably what you meant anyway...
Oh, Bakemonogatari. I wanted to watch that back in January but decided to wait until all the episodes were out...You know the rest.
Anyway, as for Angel Beats! I think it was good overall, but there was definitely wasted potential. If it had been 24-26 episodes I think it could have been amazing, on par even with Key's other series. It was probably the best of the season out of what I saw, but it was a bit of a letdown coming from the company who created my two favorite series and two other, lower, favorites of mine. Still, it's good for what it is and I will likely re-watch it some time in the future.
I must also agree, the final episode was very touching and possibly the best out of all of them. I almost gave the show a 9 in the end, but I decided it had too many flaws to receive such a high score.
sengoku basara II is a good anime =)
Kanade *.*
I like yamada from working <3 very cute suit in the last ep <3
