| Unoriginal or not, this is extremely well done. I was looking forward to this, and it exceeded my expectations. Despite knowing how the story goes having read the manga, this first episode actually managed to get my heart pumping fast. Sent a good shiver down my spine. The presentation was really well done, not to mention a good job on the voices. Also, needless to say, great animation and sound, and also a good deal of fanservice, much like how the manga went. I'll be looking forward to this every week now. |

| SUperb first episode. Highlights: -Zombies -Brain Smashing -Bats and "Spears" -Animation -PLOT! Downsides: -Overuse of pantyshots (k we know what this series is all about, but there's a reason for everything) -Every single girl have exagerated huge breats. -Some annoying characters. It will be interesting! |

| Very hard first episode. I thought there would be a different build up, but this wasn't disappointing. It looks very fast paced especially with that kind of start, right now i am seeing similarity between story build up with both Ga-rei-Zero and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. But it's still the first episode so time will tell. One more thing that should be noted during the climax scene they played the sound track of 28 Weeks Later, that song is brilliant and was perfect for that scene. (Referring to the scene where Takashi had to watch his friend transforming, and kill him) Just the build up of that song, slowly going more intense and at it's peak there is silence. Just like that scene. |

| OP was a bit meh, but the ED made up for it by a lot. Show is off to a good start and the animation is great. I'm kind of worried for the fanbase though. I'm already seeing retards in this thread. Now, back to playing Killing Floor. |

| WOW i knew this will be good but this really exceded my expectations. Its great but im not really a fan of echi / fanservice but i can live with that... this will be amazing ! Madhouse never disapoints and it wont here. |

It's too early to call it unoriginal anyways, there was set-ups for some interesting future revelations in episode 1 alone. You don't call a zombie movie unoriginal just because the beginning has the outbreak starting. You just said what I said in my original thoughts post ;P I will say one thing though.. seemingly.. (and I hate to say this..seriously).. I saw the CG sub this morning.. and this maybe the only CoalGuys sub I ever watch.. if he doesnt drop it.. which.. you wont know till next week.. if youre going all out for a zombie movie with gore..boobs.. might as well as throw in the profanity too.. *edit.. | A great start. Great action right from the start. Loved the little things like the principal getting eaten on the PA system while everyone listened and the girl who pushed her friend away to save herself. I just hope they don't do that awful red screen censoring like in Dance of the vampire bund. Do the shadow censor like in princess lover. At least then you have some idea of what's going on. |

The guy who wrote HOTD as the manga is a doujin author and artist and he made HOTD with all the tits and panties. So naturally the anime would have it all too. Besides, it's a seinen. |

| IMO sensuality is something that always fit well in the "horror" genre, if it was a serious anime of other kind I wouldn't like all the fanservice but in this ones it fits quite well |

| Zombies~ It's not original but I love it anyway, I've yet to see it in anime until now. ^___^ Personally I could do without the fanservice, would probably take it more seriously but it really didn't phase me all too much, I'm just not looking forward to the nurse running around with her extremely bouncy melon bewbies. A lot more happened in the first episode than I thought it would, almost too fast but I'm content for this episode thus far, their despair gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. Ah and I'm glad Rei isn't completely helpless, love to see girls kick ass too. Entertained, I'm rating this episode 8/10, I have high hopes as it continues but I'm so afraid it's going to fail. >_< |
