Here's somthing I want you to think about. Leticia speaking to the audience not because she has the power to break the 4th wall, but because she has no one she can trust in her world. Her parents betray her, her brother betrays her, her maids betray her, and of course her fiance is the biggest problem. She has to speak her mind to her imaginary friends, which are us! If people drop this, then she'll be really alone, let us be her imaginary friends.

So, treating a person with her own emotions like an item to use, kidnapping, making **ck moves to make her jealous? Have fun eating those feces.

contrary to the masses i enjoyed this episode the most so far. as we go further back into history individuals had less and less freedom. stuff was more male dominated. i think clarke is not so bad considering the times. things haven't gotten truly dark, at least not yet.

i guess nobody wants to see her eventually fall for clarke, which is obviously what must happen. this ep was funny enough that ill probably enjoy the ride. yall just gotta stop resisting, lol

Keeping the setting in mind: if he wanted to, she would have no say in this at all. His behaviour is shitty by modern standard, but this ain't modern world. She's already eating WAY better than what could have been.

Looks like I forgot to comment. I have no idea how the audience is intended to view Clarke at this point. Is he supposed to be cute or as weird as Leticia sees him. I should also add I dont think he's supposed to be a bad person, he's more like a fairly realistically naïve prince who has no idea how to behave because he's so privileged. I do expect his behavior will change at some point just hopefully it doesnt take too long..

@traed I can only assume you're supposed to view him how Leticia does, as an overbearing unstoppable force, and narratively his value at this point seems largely comedic, but that depends if you can laugh at the dark humor of it all. As you said, this is a realistic look at how a naive prince would behave, and also how a girl would likely have been treated around this time period. I find it concerning how few people seem to be able to read a piece of fiction outside of their delicate modern sensibilities, but alas.
