| It's funny how they actually took advantage of Kurumi's obsession about food and made her a competitor in a food contest. I mean, it's a clever strategy with prize money up for grabs. Jokes aside, it was also a way to help Kurumi socalize more. The other girls had their chance to shine in this food contest too like Nano. It's a fun overall episode imo. |

| seeing rentarou fed with rice until explosion reminds me of every visit at my aunt's before I bought her home to build Benin's best parking lot but Kurumi was a very fierce opponent lol talk about david and goliath, the contest looked really unfair against her and yet she did so well! especially against a cheater I like her character a lot |

| If you really were to compete in a food fight festival of sorts, the best strategy is to go without food for like a day or two, that way I mean it gives you a better chance if anything. But I mean, Kurumi’s entire character is completely one-note, so she can eat it all, without breaking a sweat even if she hasn’t gone without food. The most hilarious part was how she led Rentarou to eat all that lol. Guy really went bonkers there, but hey, to see they’ve planned an entire strategy when to send whom and how much to eat had me in stitches lol. Nano’s case of putting her life in danger just so she can eat one more slice of sushi was that one 200 IQ move, but yeah, I’m glad to see the girls were questioning that action lol, I mean Rentarou just left it as is. The guy who looked like Kuma was cheating from the get-go, I mean it was obvious, you see, even Kurumi realised she was done for at that movement. Though yeah, “You cannot lose when you’ve your family with you”, so I mean of course all of them pulled through lmaooo. What an hilarious episode lol. Rentarou got his kiss, but first of all, they all need to be admitted to the hospital straight away xD |

| The only reason they won was the power of their love, and togetherness is what I always want to see from Rentarou's family. Wow, I didn't expect a full eating competition this time, and Kurumi has shown her ability in this competition. And it's true that even Kurumi, who is a food lover, still can't fight alone, because that success was obtained because of teamwork. This is also good for Kurumi, because now at least she doesn't feel awkward anymore and starts to open up to everyone, also I like how Kurumi intends to try to kiss Rentarou, very adorable, she deserves that special award.  |

| The new waifu is now in her element in this eating competition. Beware of obesity. I was going to say that the Hanazonos will be fine because all the fat will go straight to their tits, but the show beat me to it. Didn't realize I was missing the Gorilla Gang. Critically, we are also presented with a solution to Kurumi's hangry nonsense. Rentarou just needs to find a way to tie every food and flavor back to himself so that he can be an answer to all her cravings. There is no more sweet or spicy, only Rentarou. |

Karane was so funny complaining a lot about the anime stuffs (fan service scene, the manga-anime changes and cuts) lol Kurumi is officially part of the family! |
| Rentarou Family wins the contest! Kurumi also finally starts to get close to Rentarou's other girlfriends. Kurumi's situation also got better because now when Kurumi sees other food she wants a kiss lol. |
| Everyone else: *Says something inspirational or uplifting to reassure Kurumi* Kusuri: *Wordlessly focusing on the ramen while barely hanging in there* Nano clinging hard onto Rentaro while he got her down is up there (literally) for her most adorable moment ever.  |
| Well I’m personally not a big fan of eating competitions, seeing them eat all that food made me feel kinda sick and I’m not even eating the food lol, but the episode was still a lot of fun as always, and really it was perfect for breaking in Kurumi to the rest of the harem, she was so certain she could solo the whole competition but in the end she realized she only made it that far because of everyone else, and then Rentarou won it for everyone when he made use of the classic “say ahhh” trick lol, the food festival couldn’t have ended better. I did kinda want to see who was pulling string within Chanko, but I guess we’ll never know, and damn it’s a shame Karane and Kusuri’s bit got glossed over but they did make a meta joke out of it at least, that one I did like. Also nice to see the gorilla girls back, they had some good bits here, although I knew after their emotional moment that they would immediately be done, and look what happened lol. Also that announcer girl was really cute, was not expecting the fanservice we were seeing to be happening within the world too but Karane’s reaction was great lol, I’m almost surprised she’s not a girlfriend herself but I’m glad other beautiful babes can exist in the show that aren’t affiliated with Rentarou. Definitely a nice episode to warm us up to Kurumi, the last moments with her were especially cute, she’s not there yet but I can see her climbing up to my favorites over time, they got me to really like her in this short time, but now I’m looking forward to whatever girlfriend comes next, the one I’m anticipating most is the sportsy girl. |
| The host of the competition did a great job of fanservice! Who knows, maybe she'll cross paths with Rentaro again and end up joining the Rentaro family. Power < Power of Friendship < Power of Love - that's the golden rule of anime, and Rentaro and his girlfriends prove it time and time again. Their love makes them stronger. |

| The design of Chanko got changed from the manga? Read the manga to get all the spicy details? Wtf. Though Ig it's not uncommon for anime like these to skip chapters/content from the manga. It's funny how they made a joke out of it at least. Kurumi got tamed pretty fast. Wonder which girlfriend will be introduced next. |

| Fourth wall is paper thin in thIS show and they do well with that. "Fan service is best." Vader voice: 'You are correct.' "Hakari flavored." Want "Hurlfriend" Pass "But, I could never throw up anything my girlfriend feeds me." How many metaphors can we obtain from that phrase? This show is on track to a 10 rating from me, after a few more episodes. |

| When that announcer is joining the family? Karane motivating Hanazonos with promise of bigger boobs is just perfect in so many levels. The 4th wall is a joke to this anime now. Power of love is too powerful as always. Kurumi tsundere became more dere with food. And got a new type of food aswell. "I am not broth" Cinema... Waiting for the 8th now. |

Plenty of detailed write-ups exists even from veteran "elitists" breaking down why this is one of the most beloved harem romcom series in recent years. I believe I already wrote-up regarding earlier soulmates in episode 1 discussion. If that's not satisfying, just think of this love gag series as harem romcom mix of Gintama/Bobobo/One Piece. It doesn’t matter if write ups exist, that doesn’t make it good lol. You can write up on anything. It’s just not good and clearly aimed at a demographic I no longer fit into, just cringe. |

You was still wondering about the appeal... after watching entire season 1 before and still continuing with s2, so I naturally replied trying to explain it. Nothing more, nothing less. Accepting it or disregarding is fully up to you lol. It could absolutely be said since enjoyment and “good” is subjective in art. Obviously there’s an appeal here since it somehow has a high score and the manga sells well. McDonald’s also sells more than Michelin restaurants though so 🤷🏾♂️ appealing to lowest denominators will generate popularity and money. Anyway, no one’s stopping you from liking it so carry on. I just don’t see it. |

| Really glad to finally hear and see what the bunny idol looks like in anime format, lol!<3 x'D9 I'm also glad that Kurumi managed to get along with everyone in the end. It's one of the strenghts of the series, but no girls, no matter how they act at first, gets left out in the Rentarou Family, its in the name, they're literally like a "family"!^v^ |

| An intro of fanservice to make the food festival rules go down easy. How kind of you 100 girlfriends! The gorilla syndicate coming back, the tactics the girlfriends specialized in and the difference that allowed Rentaro to seize the win against his competitor... The show has done it again with an enjoyable episode! It ended on quite the adorable moment with Kurumi as well. Glad she's apart of the group! |
