This show and its daytime fantasies lmao. This one came from Yuna.

Seems this episode wanted Uryu to connect with the sisters in different ways but with the same vibe. It's kinda of a cute episode although repetitive. Been kind of the stable of this show for Uryu to get along with the sisters since day one.

What a drama.

One might expect that in such a "godly" place all kinds of "spirited away" moments could happen ... and one such event did indeed happened today. Quite a serious episode eh, but this is how their destinies crossed, very interesting reveal.

They’re building it up as such a huge deal that anyone could almost feel Yae has killed someone of the same name and now she’s busted, lol. Trust me this all ain’t that serious. And if anything, this kind of just makes it a bit obvious that these girls are actually not “blood-related”. Though I’d say playing it safe by teaming up with Yae for that test of courage thing was the easiest way Uryu could’ve known, except of course, in the most harem-ish way the stuff happened lol.

Anime characters just falling off from a high place while simply walking is as anime-ish as it could be, really. Though you know, they needed a way to jump into the past, and for all that supernatural stuff to happen, so it works. Still, kid Uryu finding smol Yae the very moment he went into the past and with such a contrast personality was as strange as seeing all those men in black coming and taking back Yae lol. Really, she has some past, and this is just kind of the start of it. We'll know much more with time.

Ok, we’re finally getting into some real supernatural stuff now and the mystery of Ichijoji Reiko is getting clearer!

I kinda got some Grisaia vibes from this flashback/mental time travel mini arc. Particularly Yumiko. Reiko being Yae is no shock. They clearly set that up in last week’s flashback. It was always just a matter of how she went from Reiko to Yae and after this episode I got a much clearer picture and am leaning heavier into some theories.

So Reiko from what we saw, came from a rich but toxic/ emotionally abusive household where her mother dictated her whole life leaving her with no room to make decisions. This explains situations like a few eps ago when Uryu had to tell her to just make a choice with the pop machine at the Onsen. Even all these years later, her mother’s toxicity affects her and Uryu represents the freedom she didn’t even know she was missing. He quite literally changed her life and after this fall down the hill could save it as well.

Also my theory about the girls all being adopted is stronger than ever. Explains why none of em look alike. I reckon they’ll all have some interesting story about how they came to be sisters and it’ll be a nice parallel with Uryu who was also essentially adopted/raised in the group home. This also explains the connection that Mahiru and the lady who raised the girls have.

Yae’s friend is def gay af for her too so I wanna know what their backstory is lol. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of this arc plays out. Yae best girl!

Funnily enough, the cat's weirdly human meows would've been a valid reason for Yuna to get freaked out lol

Yae calling Uryu's snacks the tastiest food she's ever had kinda lines up with how she had nothing but rice for her school lunches for some time. Her palate still being used to the soulless meals of her childhood makes so much sense and is beyond sad if true (or I could just be reading way too much into it).

Ashai and Yae teasing Yuna (afraid of ghosts) ""Like anything could happen here"
"... a test of courage!"

"How did it turn out like this?"
Maybe plot armor to keep the tsundere who is afraid of ghosts romance route in play?

Show some sensitivity Uryu, when you companion is afraid, give comfort.

*Brave, Brave, Brave*
"What the hell am I doing?"

Shrine God(s) give them a time loop? Memory recovery? Illusion?
Did mommy Amagami become a shrine god after death?

I get the feeling all three are going to have an adoption arc, and that much of their dedication to the shrine is actually dedication to the priestess who adopted them and nurtured and raised them to actualize their own lives (we have had several hints of this already) rather than the birth parents who raising then to serve out the parents lives. A core conflict will then be the girls choosing between their other goals in life, and doing what they think is honoring their adopted mother in supporting the shrine. Will Uryu be tasked with helping Yae to live as an artist, Asahi as a athlete, and Yuna as a ?

And young Uryu gave her her name. Is Uryu going to be the fulcrum of all their destinies in the past and in the present?

No matter what the sisters' problems are, Uryuu is always connected in it.

In this case, Yae, now Uryuu can flashback to his childhood and can reveal who Reiko really is and at the same time change the path of Yae's destiny in the future.

I see why Yae changed her name and why her friend didn't want Uryu prying but I think Uryu simply wanted to confirm if Yae was the girl he had met when he was a kid. On that note I wonder if Yae has known all along that Uryu is the kid she met when she was also a kid. Anyway, hopefully Uryu finds Yae and that she's not hurt from the fall, at least not badly.

Ah, so Yae had one of those families, a super traditional Japanese family in the 21st century whose child rearing methods would definitely be considered abusive to anyone with a moral compass.

I am not very fond of Tsunderes either, but I do not despise them. I do wish there were a lot fewer of them in my shows.
Now, yanderes are just made for an Evil Overlord like me. Do you have any idea how amusing it is to have a harem full yanderes at one of your Evil Fortresses of Doom?

More nighttime shenanigans in this one, several great bits like Yuna’s wild imagination and Asahi fighting for Uryu, also spooked Yuna which was very cute, but soon after this things took a turn for the mushroom trip when Yae took a great fall and Uryu was sent out to find her. Ngl this part was really goofy to me tho, you’re telling me Takeda didn’t go running after Yae after she fell? She just stayed with the person that didn’t fall lol, you’d think she wouldn’t have wasted any time trying to help Yae being her close friend but I guess only Uryu has a phone with a flashlight in 2024, idk this part just rubbed me the wrong way, stuff that came after was pretty cool tho.

In the process of looking for Yae, Uryu was sent back to the past, but not to play shitty games that suck ass fortunately, instead it’s to relive his original encounter with Yae aka Reiko Ichijoji, some pretty wholesome moments between them before the men in black showed up, I thought they were gonna wipe Uryu’s memory which would explain why he forgot this happened but nah he just took Yae and ran lol, not sure how he got her away from that grown ass man but it was cool of him. And this also revealed stuff about Yae’s past, so she came from a family that pretty much gave her no freedom and dictated everything she did, pretty rough but I’m not sure why Takeda didn’t want Uryu to know this, maybe there’s more to discover next time.

Yuna always wins..✌️

Reiko is Yae so she indeed is adopted. That's mean all of them are. That explains odd age gaps, no mention of any father (so far) and very different looks.

Except that weird forced fall very good episode.

Maybe caused by supernatural intervention. Something is clearly trying to influence the relationships between Uryu and the sisters throughout this show.

We knew her backstory was dark like that with a different mother, but it still hurts to get more detail Q_Q.
That needle skyscraper thing she made as kid in sand :o
Apparently this will go into next episode still as we need to see how he got her to the Amagami's or safety. Realistically, zero chance a little kid saved another little kid from like 9 [child abusers] adult body guard servant people, but I will ignore that.

I need to watch something wholesome, this pain is not what I need right now. Uryu's THE man <3

Quick edt: So confirmed eldest isn't blood related, and we know youngest has SOMETHING in her past that makes her want to "run away"

Damn Yae falling from the top of the Inari shrine, didn't expect that to be honest, but now we have another supernatural phenomenon of Uryuu seeing the past in his younger body and meeting Yae for the first time... yeah it didn't look good for her at all back then, her empty eyes :S she doesn't have the mindset to be in a strict rich family
