Another new case. It got me hungry a little until of course, we get a murder again. Death by ice pick!

I swear, this anime has more cliffhangers than any other show this season. They better start gather evidence and find out the truth. Ron seems to realize something is very off about the place they're at.

Man, pretentious dishes indeed. And Ron still drowns everything in his black sugar syrup - honestly can't tell if it's an insult or improvement. 🤣 The chef sure likes to make sure to remind everyone he's just hired help, at every opportunity...

The locked room murder instantly reminded me Poirot's Christmas. Though the guy being the edible flower salad certainly was a lot more "artistic". And then lobster soup... I wonder who the fresh fish is gonna be, it sure looks like someone's cooking here... then again, would that be too obvious?

On a sidenote: If only I hadn't driven my truck that day...

Well we knew that this was gonna go south pretty quickly when all these random people from around the world started showing up at the inn, but holy shit I did not expect to get info about Ron’s dad. Whoever’s behind all this, it might be a lot more significant than we expected. Also, two murders in one episode is wild. RIP Sasoka. Idk why he’d go into the bath by himself considering there’s a murderer on the loose tho, but poor guy gave us some really important info about 17 years ago.

Speaking of which, Ron told Toto that his dad died before he was born, so was Ron’s memory manipulated or did he just genuinely forget?

The obvious suspect is the chef, but surely that’s too obvious and there’s a misdirect, right?

Well, they didn't waste any timr, did they? Something was off about the meal. Each course seemed to make each new guest uncomfortable. I'm guessing each one has some dark secret & that the House of M is involved this time.

Looks like we got a great finale arc on our hands (assuming this takes us to the end) and when I saw the title said “serial murders” I knew we were about to see multiple people die, and it happened very quick with the gardener and then later with the poor taxi driver that just gave us some very important info not just on the mystery, but Ron’s past as well, big RIP. And the info revealed that this case may have something to do with House of M after all, makes sense to end the season on it in that case, I’m excited to see where this one goes.

And as for who I suspect the most, I mean the hired help guy is the most obvious one with how much he insists that he’s “hired help”, but I’d like to think that’s a red herring, however, cases in the past have ended up having the most obvious culprit end up being the killer so I could still see it happening. I just hope the cute Italian girl didn’t do it, since she’s the only one that didn’t react to the menu in a weird way, but we shall see about that.

Yeah the cases seemed a bit like "filler" since the season opening 3-part case, but this one is shaping up to be a really good one!

someone obviously gathered them all together, probably because they have info on past dealings. The employee is obviously suspect, but it's never the obvious, right? Anyway, same modus operandi so it's likely one person but what surprises me most is the frontal attack with no apparent signs of struggle. perhaps Ron's father isn't actually dead?

Haven't seen someone get killed with an ice pick since Detective Conan. Well maybe it could be suicide.

I really wonder why these people came to this place knowing what was on the menu. Seems like they all have ties to Ron's dad or his family. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if the Italian girl is a relative.

On another note, I knew he was going to be next but that second murder was so abrupt. This might be the most interesting case this season. Looking forward to how this ends.

It's hilarious. I'm pretty sure the chef is more than what he seems. Serving up a menu that makes almost everyone feel guilty in one way or another. Definitely not talking about calories.

@Futter

i don't want to compare it to Conan or Kindaichi but sometimes it's really not that hard to find the culprit here'.

8/10 are too easy.

the plot is still interesting, we saw the father, i can't wait to learn more...

No clue what’s going on this time, but a great setup. I wonder how many will die before they piece this together, and why that high schooler is there if she’s too young too have been involved in the incident. Maybe the child of that pregnant woman?

I'm guessing the culprit is the backpacker, as she's 17 I think and that would make her the right age to be the murdered man's daughter. But I'm sure it's gonna have to be a little more complicated than at as she has to somehow know how all these people were connected as well as Ron's father being involved.

I like the touch of the murders following the menu, though I'd hoped Ron would've figured that out right away with the flower murder.

I’m loving the setup so far man this case might be the case where the story progresses I’m nkt saying don’t enjoy these past episodes it’s just that the story’s been stagnant a bit with the House of M plotline but I feel like this case is canon and filler🤩🤩🤩

Lowkey I’m still iffy on the culprit but it seems like some of you in this thread have figured it out which makes me ashamed of my slowness😭😖

I mean it's an overused trope, but this case reminds the most one from Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo: the Rosenkreuz Mansion arc.

I don't know why but I felt a sense of deja vu while watching this episode. It reminds me of the last case from season 1.

Ron, finally remembers Mylo -> (his father actually)

Great Episode...I love the serial kill inclusion in both seasons...Previously closed astronomical observatory and now a closed hotel out of contact...
By the way now tht doll in the dining table...doesnt it look like Mylo...
And that list order...
Gardner became edible flower
Sasaoka for Lobster

When Gardner was killed I thought that it is the lawyer Tiger but...really cant figure out a proper reason right and Karen is kind of suspicious as well...What do you all think??

@Sun_Chan The man he remembered is his father, mate. Milo isn't his father. They're more like estranged bros (?).

@Teruki_Inoue half brothers. as far i know and i could be wrong on this, ron doesn't know he's a mixed/half-blood of the sherlock and moriarty bloodlines at this point of the story like milo does.

two killers!
Well, to me the assessin is the young girl...why? She the youngest of all the attendees Therefore, she wants revenge for something that happened in the past.

Hmm, this case is much more interesting especially because Ron's father may actually be alive and involved in these murders via the hired help and/or the 17 year old Italian girl. I noticed that the invite was sent 17 years ago and the young Italian girl is also 17 so I'm sure there is a connection there, plus she did not react negatively as the food courses were being served. Speaking of which, it seems like the invitees, except for the Italian girl, Ron, and Toto, have negative experiences based on the food that was served so I think they have also met Ron's father and were made accomplices to crimes like the taxi driver.
