MAL should separate the arcs into two entries

The title speaks for itself. This arc, Shuugeki-hen, should be 8 episodes long, and the next arc, Hangeki-hen, should have its own entry beginning in Feb 5th. This is basically a Part I and Part II and should be treated like so.

Tower of God S2 split its part ( Ouji no Kikan)

Current arc ( Koubou Sen) has its own entry

I do completely agree. They even did it with the the second season, so why not the third? Odd choice but I guess we’ll have to put the show “on hold” until February.

Since when is it that particular arcs need to be cut out and rated seperatly?
This arc isn't even finished at the time you want to make the cut.

Imagin if One Piece would adapt this line of thinking xD

It would be nice, but this will all be Arc 5 (same could be said for how they did Arc4 but eh) and since we're most likely getting Arc 6, that'll be when they separate the two.

Well, if it is officially confirmed that the season is split in 2 cours, then MAL should separate them as it's done with every other anime. Can't remember if there are any exceptions.

disagree. they should split arc 5 and arc 6 content when we get there for sure, but splitting arc 5 doesnt make sense. unless you want some AoT situation where theres 3/4 parts of one season

You first need to understand that the separation does not occur arbitrarily because MAL wants it, but rather because they are guided by how the season is understood and publicized by the anime production committee itself, if they consider it a second part then it is a second part, if it is just a break then it is just a break.

No, there is enough stupidities na MAL as is. Like split in Tower of God Season 2. IMHO all things like "Season 2 Part 1" and "Season 2 Part 1" should be merged into one entry, because it's produced as one season.

I hate it when different streaming services/anime databases differ on how they deal with seasons and episode numbering. Like on Crynchyroll they don't reset the episode count at the start of a new season. So for Re: Zero, episode 1 of the 3rd season is episode 51 on Crunchyroll. It drives me nuts.

@Yosakusan I'm sorry, but Feb 5th is not in a few weeks to me. TO ME, this is basically a split cour, a shortened, 8 episodes cour, but split nonetheless. And again TO ME, split cours are Part I and Part II and should have 2 entries

Well Episode 9 is still arc 5 so splitting it doesn't make much sense. Since once this season finishes airing all 16 episodes will be seen as the adaptation of arc 5. Long as arc 6 gets a separate entry it is fine

AFAIK, Arc 6 of Re: ZERO is also being produced. So, I think that Kadokawa plans to market Arc 6 as 3rd Season Part 2? That might explain why even MAL isn’t separating this thing. Plus, there’s not a gap of a season here, so why separate this? Also, JJK S2 also had that. There was a gap between the two arcs adapted there. But they didn’t separate them as separate arcs

Yeah I don't like it but it's consistent with how MAL does things. I don't understand why they're breaking their pattern for this season. Either split them all up or don't split any of them up.
