@IFinallyMadeAMAL Yeah this anime would have been rated better without all the intentional sexual innuendo/ jokes from all the previous part.
It's hard to ask my friend/ family to watch this knowing it has a pretty NSFW first episode. They'd just drop it after 1st ep and call me a pervert.

| I'm speechless. I thought we were going to be going on a silly quest for balls and then suddenly I'm hit with the most heart wrenching story I've witnessed in recent memory. I have no idea what to expect from this series anymore but wow, that was a piece of art. Saru really outdid themselves, even Okarun's transformation scenes were smooth AF. |

| I curse whoever made this backstory 1000 needle stabs. I nominate whoever made the ending the Nobel Peace Price. Turbo Granny is a bit of a bitch, but she's not that bad and cooperates, also is the vibe of the ending. I almost had to put this on my "on-hold" list but made it through. I will not be rating this episode. Originally I thought it was just some psycho-bitch who became a serial killer because some random girl called her mommy, but as soon as the back story started, and mean AS SOON AS IT STARTED, I started getting emotional and had to pause at one point while I had a mental breakdown (if I was normal, I would only cry, but unfortunately have LOTS of trauma and such) for a decent amount of time. When came back to continue, I continued to cry and breakdown, but was more happy tears towards the end. I was originally expecting stories like this for all opponents (kind of like with Demon Slayer) where they weren't evil, or even decent, but the world they live in turned them evil. That is what happened to this mother. She was a decent woman who loved her daughter and unfortunately was repetitively raped (heavily implied) to be able to keep her. The world they live in though, set her up to appear originally to be a psycho-bitch. In the end, she did the right thing, what she always wanted, to protect her daughter, even if Aira was only confused as her daughter due to totality of this worlds shitty nature. I will be severely disappointed if this doesn't cause character development to Aira, she really started on a good path with this episode. Momo & Ken are very good people. (I wonder if those other 2 girls that in our world would be dead or hospitalized are doing hahaha) |

| Tragic... I knew she would have a tragic backstory, but it was still hard to watch. Didn't expect Aira to die. I mean, she was a bitch, but didn't deserve death... I suppose both Momo and Aira saw Silky's flashbacks. I wonder how much Aira will change from now on. |

| For a series that revels in being crazy and hilarious in many ways, this episode was the complete opposite of that and one that I could never have expected to see happen. Acro Silky's backstory was one emotional ride. The production values for this flashback, especially the POV scene, was simply beautiful, which is a standout for an episode already very high in terms of quality put into it. Not only that, the soundtrack helped to portray the happiness and the sadness that the flashback had in store and it REALLY was brutal and dark with the way it went. In the end, seeing Aira give Acro Silky a comforting hug as she disappeared for good was another hit in the feels. Admittedly, I can't really think of anything else to say in terms of praising this episode more other than to say that this is easily the best episode of Dandadan so far and definitely one of the best episodes of this year. |

| perfect adaptation of, to me, the darkest part of dandadan by far and science saru did it absolute justice. The scene were Aira ran towards her "mother" and you see the pov shot of her child running towards the door and when it opens it pans into the total of the hug... it wasn't framed as impactfull in the manga and oh man it got me good. Aots for me. |

Some missing informations, like who are those guys and where's her real daughter now. Also, I feel like nitpicking but anyone could counter an emergency situation so I've to mention that that's a wrong way to CPR.
| @phantomfandom By the looks of it, those guys are mobsters a.k.a Yakuza. They were there solely for the money it seems. Someone posted the manga end page showing mom together with the daughter so we can assume they both died and passed on (hopefully reuniting in the afterlife). Those bastards likely killed the kid and harvested her organs. She was too young to earn money for them and if Yakuza were there for murder, they'd kill the two at home. Even mom died due to injuries that wasn't inflicted directly by mobsters. I wonder if mom owed money to those bastards. We saw her whoring herself, but they didn't show if she stole money or borrowed it from shady people. About CPR, unfortunately tons of people IRL have no idea how to do it properly or how to do it at all, so it wasn't surprising at all. |
