Lol, Rika definitely had too much to drink this episode. At least she isn't giving Takuya the silent treatment anymore.

On another note, it was nice to see someone like Nao connect with her. She needs more friends in real life besides just her partner. Overall, still entertaining character chemistry in this show imo.

Dude, what a galactic coincidence that from all the people, it was those two that met each other ... and on top of that, that their apartments are literally next to each other, LOL. But hey, a good way to know one another better ... one might say, right.

After all, people with personality that are worlds apart tend to bond well .. in anime at least. And i guess for the answer we would need to wait another week ...

Nahhh, this is PURE PEAK!

This, exactly this, is the kind of thing that any hardcore romcom fan is dying to see: absolute CINEMA!

I never expected a love confession in this episode; I thought it would be another development chapter like the last one, but wow, what a surprise! Takuya had the guts to tell Rika straight up that he wants her to be his partner—epic! This guy is a top contender for best male protagonist of the year.

On the other hand, the fact that Rika is actually taking the time to think about it is just perfect. If she had given Takuya an immediate response, it wouldn’t have felt as authentic, especially considering the personalities of both characters.

Now, the wait until next week is going to be torture.

I’m seriously considering switching to the manga just to find out what happens next. I can’t wait!

Can anyone tell will they start dating for real now or not? If no, going to drop it now. It is just a high school romance masked as adult romance

I wouldn’t know personally but the manga is short enough that I feel confident the entire story in the manga will be told in this season, if that helps convince you to hang on until the end.

Alright, I feel hooked now. I wasn’t really into this couple at first but the sudden confession that I didn’t see coming this episode has me invested now.

Nao is such an interesting character too. She’s shut down emotionally as a defense mechanism after her parents divorce, so her behavior is so understandable but also difficult to see happen in real time. I’m not surprised she just sat there stone walling him for ten minutes lol.

Another reason why I like adult cast romances is that acting more assertive because you’re drinking to move the plot along is so much better than all the contrived situations high school romances need to come up with.

@BrettWatchesTV I heard that it would take another season(assuming this one is 12 eps) to complete the whole thing with the current speed of chapter adaptation

Like the glass works animation, an it is much more comfortable than visiting a real one.

"Super power"
Yep Nao is the best girl this show for me, but Takuya finally got ahead of Kama for best boy.

Once Rika got going on the beer, it was goodnight Nellie.

What an amazing plan: If you want to know how somebody feels about something, ask them. But Rika still manages to ball it up afterwards.
"H-Hngahh!" Not very articulate, dear.

"I'm gonna play outside, Bye Bye."

Confirm that English subs not working for this episode on Crunchyroll earlier (on a PC, just using my browser, not an app) They started working a few minutes ago.

Drunk mouths speak sober thoughts! Nao getting Rika drunk so she spilled her feelings was brilliant, but I didn’t think things would escalate so quickly with she and Ohara! Again this is the advantage of watching adult romances though because there’s not all the miscommunication and dragging of feet. It took her getting drunk, but Rika did plainly say how she felt to Ohara and he asked her out! Props to him, didn’t think he had it in em lmao.

That 10 minute awkward silence after though lmao. So they’re technically not dating yet, but I’m sure when they see each other next time they’ll have a proper chat about it. It is a lil crazy to me though when you consider this all happened while Nao is sleep on the floor next to them, kinda NTR-y lmao. I also just clocked Farouz Ai voices her so she’s everywhere this season.

“But it was herons not Totoro” hmm pretty sure this manga was written before the last Ghibli movie but funny coincidence anyway lol. Another great ep!

Well I was enjoying the show until these last two episodes.

Feels like forced drama, two have something serious happen, everything is blowing up right in front of us.

I would like them to get past this and have the MCs fix what happened.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

So, in Tokyo, one of the most populated cities in the entire world, Rika and Nao happened to meet by coincidence. Not only a cliché, but it was so badly performed that is wasn't even worth seen it.

Nao learning was an Ok scene, I can even get why Rika went there to see her. all that good.

But then, just spend so much part of the episode in them drinking, and just spitting out so many clichés of romcoms, that is honestly, incredibly boring.

On top of everything, the episode ended on ANOTHER cliffhanger. A cliffhanger that wasn't even worth it.

This show might be a decent one for people that are starting with romcoms or anime in general. The storyline is just plain, predictable and I
disgusting.

I van already see next week Rika not remembering anything and they are gonna spend one, two, maybe even three episodes wasting time and just putting more clichés until Rika magically remembers and they end up together.

This had so much potential. completely hated this episode.

The man just leaves in a daze after 10 minutes of dead silence...

I could not believe what I was watching. I'm almost impressed that the show ended that conversation in such an insanely awkward fashion.

As annoying as this would be... I think there's a high chance you're right. I really, really hope they don't go this route.

What a coincidence that Nao and Honjouji happen to live next door! But credit goes to Nao and her drunken state for bringing Honjouji and Oohara together so they could finally talk. Oohara’s confession caught me off guard, though! Poor guy—Honjouji didn’t even accept or reject; she just stayed silent for over ten minutes. Awkward doesn’t even cover it. There was some progress with the confession, but given that long silence, who knows where things are headed now?

It sure was a very Nao problem to have. Glass making sure looks complicated. But Damm Nao sure brought a ton of beer. Drunk Nao sure is scary though. Having to turn off one's own feelings though is something no one should be forced to do. Excellent set up for the question though. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Nao's just another example of when a side character is better than the main character. I'd rather have her get together with Ohara, but that violates the Anime Bylaws of childhood friends forming a relationship.... :' )

Best episode so far!
The confession scene at the end is perfect! You can feel the awkwardness until the credits drop!
Great VA performance, from both Hayami Saori and Kumagai Kentarō! (And I'm saying that for a scene Fairouz Ai is playing in!)
That sound she made at 17:28 is perfect, I've heard it 5 times already! And the timing of Nao's snore made it even better!

Btw this seems fimiliar...

I was NOT expecting Takuya to confess to Rika in this episode lmao. And it went about as well as it would if two awkward people who overthink a lot did the same thing. The awkwardness was... amazing? It made perfect sense why it was like that. So, it was actually both hilarious and a bit sad. Oh man, I really wonder how they're gonna reconcile after this...

I, again, feel way too seen with this episode. The not knowing what to say, so I just shut down and not speak. I let out a little squeal when our boy said he wanted her to be his girlfriend! But of course, she's feeling insecure and all of the drinks she's been having certainly haven't helped.

This episode was a colossal waste of my time. I was happy for the confession from Takuya, but to stretch the scene out with a series of unnecessarily long internal monologues, and to end the scene without a response of any kind??!! is too much. If the scene had been shorter (aka Rika still gave no response but Takuya decided to just take his leave amid that awkward silence EARLIER), I wouldn't have minded. It would have managed to be funny then rather than annoying.

On her way home, Rika meets Nao Miyama. Nao is Takuya's neighbor in Aso who now has to move to Tokyo because of work. However, Nao has a problem in Tokyo. She couldn't find where she lived. It turns out, Nao now lives in a building right next door to the building where Rika lives.

The following day, Rika visited Nao's workshop in Tokyo. Then Nao invites her to a party that night at Rika's house. Quite surprised that Rika allowed Nao to use her house. In fact, no one has ever been to her house, including Takuya.

At Rika's house, the two of them drink a lot. Nao collapses after drinking a few cans of beer. Even though she has drunk a lot, Rika is still able to maintain her consciousness. However, she begins to tell a little about Takuya. Rika really wanted to talk seriously with Takuya. Therefore, before collapsing, Nao calls Takuya and tells him to come to Rika's house immediately.

Takuya came as quickly as possible. Rika wanted Takuya to clarify their current relationship situation. Eh suddenly, Takuya asked Rika out on a date. Actually, this wasn't something to say when their relationship wasn't going well recently. However, all of Takuya's feelings had been conveyed. Anyways, the situation after that was extremely awkward. They were both silent, not saying a single word for more than 10 minutes. They really thought about all the possibilities, including what they should say next.

In the end, Rika didn't speak a single word. Having waited too long, Takuya decides to leave Rika's house while sending Nao home.

Yes, yes, I know it's for drama & comedy. But for both of them say nothing after Oohara asks Honjouji to go out with him.
I must endure this. I'm sure they will "close the distance" by the end of the show. Maybe Nao will give them a little push.
