@Min_Minaliski

last time we saw him he got slashed by the Espada Noitra but it didnt look like he got a life threating wound, at least not by Bleach standards were people survive getting cut in half or pierced though the chest

Holy shit the way Aizen just swept this episode with his appearance alone was fucking amazing, he just announces himself, flexes an ungodly amount of Spiritual Pressure and saving numerous lives, drops his iconic Hado 90 Kurohitsugi which was fucking beautifully animated with some amazing SFX before quoting he can "bring the Soul Palace down to them".
The Studio absolutely cooked with Aizen's reappearance to the story and honestly greatly reminded us who the original big bad was.

Liked the Ise stand off against Kenpachi, actual round of applause cus i could only imagine how bad the fight or flight reaction was. Man there's also some form of sadness in seeing how Kenpachi is still trying to find a missing Yachiru to this day.

Yeah i always knew Buzzbee was a real one, but fr, seeing the remaining Quincies set aside their thousand year hate to soul reapers and instead unify in stopping Yhwach was poetic in itself, also having Aizen described it as well i thought was poetic as well.

Once again i am reminded how much of a goat Shunsui has been since the war started and was promoted to head captain. He's recognised the stakes to win this war has built up to making deals with devils even if it tramples over past sacrifices and honours, when the survival of all dimensions are at risk honour get's thrown out the window when there won't be any honour when everyone's dead.
Absolutely loved his reasoning to free Aizen as well, "I do not believe using evil to defeat evil, is itself an evil act." peak cinema. His conversation's between Aizen i also find cool, there's something interesting about the class of personalities that i find amusing.

Rlly happy Shino and Ryuunosuke have survived for this long, after the initial invasion in season 1 we never see them again so i morbidly presumed they were gonna be another causality of war, but seeing that they've made it so long into the war kinda sheds some hope and relief to the situation.

Holy fuck the Grimmjow reappearance goes crazy good, what a cliff-hanger what a nostalgia trip and what a way to hype up the story even more. I really want to see his reunion with Ichigo and the conversation they're about to have.

Witnessing Aizen's power was very entertaining. The VA was and is the GOAT.

Other than that a lot of deus ex machina moments and the consistent Kessen-hen them: Soul reapers loosing fights just to fight a little later and then win despite the same gap in power. Considering the massacres of the past 2 seasons I am thorughly surprised that there were still enough to gather up.

The episode was super hype, especially now that Aizen has shown up, and we get to see how powerful his spiritual pressure is. You can tell that everyone now has a common goal: stopping Yhwach. I'm excited to see what the upcoming episodes will reveal and what Yhwach has now awakened within himself. Hype when Grimmjow showed up.

Seems I'm the only one not liking this part of the show. I like the fact Aizen is back but many things seemed so random here (same in the manga) and the pace is not that great.
Still curious to see new episodes, I hope they still make fillers for stuff that was skipped in the manga (Shutara's Bankai was cool)

This was very good in-between episode from my mind. Nothing that major happened, yet at the same time...small things happened that are important.

However, two major things happened (at least in my mind) Aizen flexing (while still moping a bit) and Grimmjow finally showing up! Those two really did steal this week's episode. The fact Grimmjow was teased at the middle of the episode, just to fully appear at the end of it? Brilliant. Not to mention Ichigo's look of 'Grimmjow?' It was amusing. Also, this episode did indeed explain where Ichigo and Yoruichi fell down which is a good thing. Though, a cat always falls on their feet, so they won't need Kon plush to lessen the impact of falling...

It was kind of amusing and a bit 'oh boy, here we go again' when Aizen showed up and everybody was so against him. Like, they were still in the middle of the war, and just moments ago those remnants of Soul King were falling from the sky...which honestly made me wonder why most kami-related things are black eyeball things with sharp teeth? Like, did anyone get the Fullmetal Alchemist vibe from that? Anyone? Okay, moving on.

The 5 min of Aizen screentime was infinite times better than anything of Yhwach or whatever garbage. Even Grimmjow's back. The real iconic characters are all appearing. Was nice to see Urahara squad back as well. Let the counterattack begin, again for the upteenth time.

THE GREATEST RETURNS!!!!! SOSUKE AIZENNN!!!!!!! I’ve never been this excited for a villain’s return! He’s still the badass we’ve always known him to be, coming up and crushing everything with his spiritual pressure!

I get why everyone is shocked and betrayed that Kyoraku stooped so long to ask for Aizen’s help but right now, their is no such thing as honor and embarrassment when the whole world is about to fall.

It was hilarious to see Mayuri step in to humble Aizen by bragging that his technology was keeping his power at bay. I was hoping Aizen could test out this theory but the Quincy’s stepped in.

I didn’t expect the rest of the Quincies to turn on Yhwach but this works in our favor!

I see why Old Man Yama favored Kyoraku. He really makes a good leader. He used his wit to talk Aizen into helping the Soul Society and he has the Soul Reapers and the Quincies working together to take down the Quincy King!

It was good seeing both old and new Soul Reapers show up at the gathering. We got Afro Soul Reaper Kurumadani still “fighting.” We got the Visordes still together, ready to fight for it all (Hiyori and Shinji always make a heavy moment lighter with their comedy). And we got the best support, KON, who saved our MC!

But let’s not forget! I’ve been waiting for over 12+ years for this moment! I ARGUED WITH HUNDREDS OF FANS ABOUT THIS! I KNEW HE WAS NEVER DEAD! LADIES & GENTLEMEN! THE RETURN OF GRIMMJOW!!!!!!

Bazz b and the remaining sternritters really are a delight. I wish a few more survived and were on the quest for revenge but either way their entrance is the highlight of the episode for me

Mashiro cameo woohoo!. But seriously can she and the visored stop getting sidelined so hard. She's treated the worse out of all of them though (despite being the coolest with how long she can use her mask) She should be up there ready to go with the other lieutenants, there's no reason she should just be in the crowd. Even when the other visored make a move she's still just in the crowd like a nobody instead of reuniting with her crew and setting out to avenge Kensei.

Anyone else waiting for Aizen to get one final stab at momo in lol. It would be a major waste if they don't get a final confrontation with him out right now. Hopefully Shinji keeps her safe and sane if it happens

Orihime lowkey came in clutch by not only making sure that Ichigo didn’t get cooked, but uncooked Yoruichi’s arm (which isn’t difficult for her), and the only consequence is that she’s hungry. That’s a dub for sure. Kon also helped out by creating a cushion for Ichigo. I don’t know what’s going on with Uryu, but Ichigo will have to do something about it.

On the other side of things, I’m not shocked that everyone detests Aizen teaming up with them, and I guess because of that, they had no issue with teaming up with the Sternritters as well in this intense battle. I didn’t expect Aizen to reflect on his battle with Ichigo like that, nor did I expect that Mayuri’s technology was strong enough to restrain Aizen’s spirit energy.

What has Yhwach become? What does he want to do? How will this war conclude? Will Ichigo have to use Hollowfication (assuming that said hollow powers didn’t simply become apart of his new Zangetsu)?

Man this is building up to be something exciting, and GRIMMJOW IS BACK IN THE MIX AS WELL!

Episode 5 starts off on a much stronger note than its predecessor, delivering one of the most compelling moments of this cour. The dynamic of uneasy alliances is at the forefront, with the old adage “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” taking on a nuanced twist. While “friend” might be too strong a word, the necessity of cooperation is clear. The Soul Reapers, with their deeply ingrained mistrust and hatred for Aizen, are faced with a gut-wrenching reality: working alongside him might be their only shot at survival.

Kyoraku truly shines here, stepping into his role as Captain-Commander with weighty pragmatism. His decision-making and willingness to shoulder the burden of such a controversial choice prove why he was the right person to lead during these turbulent times. This scene, rich with tension and moral complexity, is easily the best piece of writing in this cour and possibly in the entire TYBW arc. It serves as a reminder of Bleach’s potential for deep storytelling when it focuses on character-driven moments.

Unfortunately, the rest of the episode doesn’t maintain this momentum.

The reintroduction of numerous characters feels like a rushed attempt at fanservice, cramming in cameos that should have been impactful but instead come across as hollow. Aizen, the Visoreds, Bazz B and the Quincies, and Grimmjow are all shoved into the same episode with little buildup or payoff. Rather than allowing each reappearance to land with the gravity and excitement they deserve, the episode dilutes their impact by presenting them in quick succession. It’s a missed opportunity that undermines the weight these characters could have brought to the story if handled with more care.

The situation with Ichigo and his friends further weakens the episode. After the dire cliffhanger from the previous installment, we’re left with an inexplicable and convenient resolution. Ichigo is miraculously saved, and his friends—despite being in immediate peril—are suddenly unharmed and ready to continue fighting the Sternritters. This abrupt and poorly explained turn of events robs the narrative of tension and stakes, making it feel more like a clumsy reset than a meaningful continuation.

The episode’s reliance on spectacle over substance ultimately diminishes its effectiveness. While the opening moments with Kyoraku and Aizen offer a glimpse of the series’ narrative depth, the rest of the episode feels like a chaotic and disjointed attempt to throw as many familiar faces into the mix as possible.

While Episode 5 begins with one of the most compelling scenes of this cour, its momentum is squandered by clumsy fanservice and a lack of narrative cohesion. The moral dilemmas and pragmatic leadership on display in the opening moments serve as a reminder of Bleach’s potential, but the rushed pacing and plot conveniences leave much to be desired. For fans hoping to see beloved characters return in a meaningful way, this episode may feel like a letdown.

AIZEN!!!!!!!!! Wow this episode was so hype man just seeing everyone team up to defeat Yhwach is just amazing to see and Aizen’s spiritual pressure is FUCKING CRAZY bro is a monster with the way he can still be strong even while being restrained in a chair😭🔥🔥🔥

Still tho seeing the Quincies team up with the soul reapers, but it’s good seeing them on the good side now and off topic but the blond small sternritter can get it tho👀

Grimmjow making his appearance and his entrance was hype bro I wonder how he’s gonna help them?
