| Indeed. I will go and say that the manga was never that good to begin with. Good example of an overrated work that is only carried by its visuals....which the anime made worse cause it failed to even capture the manga visuals for the majority of its runtime, which isnt that long to begin with cause they were going through scenarios faster than a gaming speedrunner. |

| I haven't completed the series yet, but I was stunned...stunned to see it plummet on its archival entry page on MAL from somewhere above an 8, in the low 8s, upon the series premiere night and in the immediate aftermath, compared to dropping firmly into 6 territory only three episodes later. I can't recall when I last saw a series rating on its MAL page plummet that drastically that quickly. I'm basically unfazed, but I know there are people who are furious. I don't think the term "livid" would be inaccurate or too strong to use in this context. People are livid. |

| Well, the manga relies on shock-value instead of plot too so it's not like the anime was going to be any better. They tried to replicate the atmosphere of the manga but failed to do so because of the bad production. A shame because it was already delayed for so long. |

| @WatchTillTandava I can think of a couple recent comparable flops, like the second season of Promised Neverland and the third season of Seven Deadly Sins. God of High School and Tower of God are also comparable flops, but not quite as bad. |
