| I mean this series is so old, Akane is probably within the first group of anime girl characters with this archetype, aka the tsundere. The only one I can think of prior at the top of my head is Lum, but there is probably more. With that said, Akane is very very tsuntsun from what I remember. Very aggressive and rarely shows her deredere side. |

| nah she's alright, she's gets development i guess but it's episodic stuff so she kinda reverts but i don't mind it. there are a bunch of side characters yet to appear who i don't like though. |

@WaterMage That was one of my belly laughs in the first episode of the OG. And he did DESERVE that one. Later though, I did get tired of her temper & I tended to agree with him that she was "So Uncute!" LOL

The "other girls in the series" are 100% Kodachi, Azusa, Hinako........ (Cologne gets a special mention, but I *very* occasionally kind of like her.) Personally, I do like Akane. I didn't like her when I first read the manga, but I was ≈11-16 as I read through all of it via my library system in the early aughts, lol. She's grown on me a lot. Ukyou & Shampoo are definitely my fave girls. The rest are good, just not top tier to me. (I don't personally count Ranma among the girls.) |
