Hell no it doesn’t need to be as popular as DS that would only make it worse the term “overrated” will be plastered on the series unironically everytime someone brings it up or says that it’s their favourite normalize gatekeeping some stuff.

Actually, not as extreme as FLCL but it does remind me of it.
| @KWilke well as some have stated above, its too sexual for the normies... keep in mind some mainstream shows like JJK and Demon Slayer some people watch with their parents which is why theyre so huge i doubt people would do that with a series like this |

Lol then you probably haven’t seen enough criticism of it on Reddit or twitter there’s definitely a good chunk of ppl who do not like AOT and think that it’s overrated did you not see how many aot fans did not like the manga ending? Isayama actually had to apologize to the fans during his visit in one of the NYC anime con or whatever it was lmao it’s absolutely ridiculous behaviour by the fans that it pissed me off.

It's kinda hard to satisfy everyone. Manga readers really overreact way to much. When the final episode of the anime aired people had completely different reactions totally different compared to the manga readers. |

But unfortunately Those Grifters Who Deliberately Walk Into Place Full Of Things They Don't Like And Are Now Offended will stay, be loud and obnoxious. Animation is really on par with JJK and looks amazing. I especially liked Ayase's roundhouse kick. |

Who cares if it's popular or not. What do you actually gain from it? More fans and merchandise I guess? Does that really matters? Everyone always makes a big fuss about something being popular or not like it would completely change the quality of the product itself. As long as you enjoy it that is enough.

I love this series, but the first chapter of the manga almost made me drop it. The over the top sexualization of Momo and subsequent threat of sexual assault, and Okarun getting his dick and balls stolen by Turbo Granny, will be enough to prevent a lot of folks from checking it out. The anime dialed it up even further, and watching that first episode felt like a band aid I needed to rip off.
I've wanted to recommend it to people, but I always have to preface it by saying that they've gotta stomach that before they can get to the good parts. In my experience that makes it a non-starter, especially for the women in my life, like my wife or friends.
All that said, I really do love the series and hope it gets popular so I have more people to talk about it with, lol. If it wasn't for those elements in the first episode and the bikini armor girl from the most recent chapters, this would basically be a flawless series. I love how insane it is. It's such a good blend of genres and has amazing character development throughout too. I'm looking forward to seeing how this studio brings the manga to life.

| Possible, but if I had to bet my left testicle I would say no xD idk it seems it will be on the level of popularity of something like Solo Leveling or Kaiju no 8, no more, maybe if this anime had its Gojo, I would see a greater chance for something more. |
