| @Cielord I found a locked thread in the collection anime forum about some kid asking if it was related. (I was browsing for other reasons) might have been a real fetus asking, might have been bait, idk, it was apparently like 2 years ago. Probably randomly bumped into something similar? But yeah, super cringe to make a whole thread addressing it (as if there's just a whole wave of Boruto zoomers trolling the Ito stans) |

I agree that, despite how cringe it feels, it wouldn't be the kid's fault at all, if the question was genuine. We were all once baby weebs who started somewhere. I just mentioned it as the one instance I've seen of Naruto & Uzumaki discussions I've seen that OP could possibly be talking about, but more as an illustration of how non-existent the discussion is overall. Like, "ok I think I could find Naruto MENTIONED once, who is this kid that has OP pressed??" I wouldn't want it to come across any way else. |

I must concur, a person with a brain function would not think of this work as a spin-off of a shounen jump series.

Wrong on so many levels, you dont associate the word "uzumaki" with naruto right away, even if they know it they should have common sense.

| As a new-ish consumer of anime/manga (almost 2 yrs), when I heard of this anime coming out, I was pretty sure it wasn’t related to Naruto but I did immediately think of Naruto since it was my first experience with that word. Upon further research, of course I learned what it was 100%. I don’t think it’s a big deal if someone didn’t understand what it was because not everyone is exposed to the same things. |
