Ye, Yuriko definitely has her problems...

This episode gave more insight on her personality. We did get some old fashioned fighting against the undead so that's something. I didn't expect Yuriko to be a main threat this late in the show though. Sensei is still doing what he does best.

The confrontation of the Fallen Angel of Greed of student Yuriko and the righteous priest of teacher Wolff, it's quite the menacing fight for a master-student relationship that got severed once his lover came in that could help to resolve the fight against the Dark Lord. And despite all the contrivances, Yuriko just sinks deeper into the abyss...that is until Sensei appeared with Wolff's lover in a coffin rider, which they turned out to be siblings...?

Yuriko's younger sister of Hikari's story has been penned, and now it's the older sister's turn to get hers written, being someone jealous and greedy for love and attention. And when Sensei makes it his intent to author someone's story, he goes full-ham to reveal the dark truth about the siblings, where the medically ill Hikari is fully taken care of by her father, leaving Yuriko all but ignored to sink deep into evil. Even in the fantasy world, she's no different from her past, and Sensei acknowledges even the fact that Hikari came to the same world being lost of hope to find her own sister again. It's a story of love that Sensei managed to patch all of the loose ends with the sisters, as well as Wolff.

Another life (or lives rather, saved), and Sensei does it again to his usual pedigree.

Looks like I was very wrong about who that old lady was, she is not a former lover of Wolff, but Yuriko’s little sister, no way could I have predicted that before we found out Yuriko can age people lol. And I guess there was a sort of love involved, but it wasn’t romantic, it was sisterly love and a master and student love. And with Yuriko comes another sad backstory, I think hers might be the most upsetting one so far imo, she just wanted to live her life but it was unfortunately robbed by her sickly sister Hikari, not that it was Hikari’s fault of course but you still feel for Yuriko, and when you pair that with the reunion and betrayal in the Isekai world it makes things all the more tragic.

But thankfully, things didn’t end badly for these two, despite all that happened they were able to go back to their world thanks to Sensei, I wasn’t sure if Yuriko was one of the types that was too far gone for that kind of thing or not but I’m glad she was able to come back around and make things right with Hikari, the scene with the two of them back at their home was a very nice ending to the episode, this was definitely among my favorite arcs of the show. Now I just gotta know if Sensei is gonna be riding in that new and improved bed from now on or not, there’s just one episode left but it will be an episode he’s riding in style, not being dragged around in a coffin for once lol. I’m glad I ended up picking this Isekai this season, it’s been a lot of fun.

Definitely did not see the coffin car bit coming… but more to the point, quite a good episode. The twist with the sister was rather unexpected, but it is good that in the end, Yuriko was “redeemed” and they were able to be sent back having made peace with one another.

It’s quite fascinating; for a show that touches on dark themes it can get relatively light at times with how they just handle things.

Last episode next week; curious to see how the season wraps up

Another incredible episode man it’s a shame this show is so underrated. Legitimately one of the best seasonal isekai ever. The emphasis on substance and good storytelling over jokes or cringe fanservice is so appreciated. I’ve been made emotional on several occasions throughout this cour and today the dam broke and tears flowed. Incredibly beautiful episode.

I figured Yuriko and Wolff story would be sad, but it was way more heartbreaking than I could’ve ever imagined. Yuriko’s life on earth was hell and her parents are all to blame. She was a kid, she deserved to have her own childhood and live her own life, not be a 24/7 carer for her sister. I understand having her help out around the house or help out with her sister when the nurse leave or something, but expecting a kid to handle all that responsibility is horrible parenting and the insecurities and mental issues Yuriko experienced were all on her parents. When the dad slapped her after she went out to buy the ribbon I got so mad.

Then she gets a chance to be a normal girl her age for once in this other world, falls in love with Wolff and bam here go her sister again taking all the praise and attention. She’s totally valid for going to the dark side in my opinion. When you keep pushing someone into a corner eventually they have to come out. I know Wolff didn’t have any bad intentions, but as a result of his actions he pushed her over the edge. I know she had a crush on him, but I feel like it was one of those things that just developed because Wolff was the first person to show her any actual attention and act like she was special

It’s cool how the fallen angels’ abilities all relate to their personality. So Yuriko whole thing was about missing out on her youth because she was caring for her sister, so her power takes away people’s youth. The reveal that the old lady was the younger sister was so well done I never would’ve got that. Also heartbreaking to think Hikari killed herself after she found out about her sister death to be with her again.. the parents didn’t even look phased with Yuriko died either.. horrible people.

Sensei sending them back home together was truly the best possible ending for them and I just want them to be happy, they deserve it.

I wasn't buying her 'greediness' until sensei learned what she wanted in life, which was attention. So, she was so 'greedy' for attention that she did the bad thing. But even then, it's not like she wanted more than she already had, she just did not have enough/any attention.

It's interesting that the isekai slightly touched the topic of how these generic priestly guides for otherworlders are not aware or caring about the background of their summoned heroes. They have a one track mind. Go defeat the demon lord! But barely bother to learn about who the otherworlder was before they got summoned. It's quite refreshing because we, viewers and authors, usually view it as "How does the MC influence and think about the new world," and not how "the new world is thinking about the MC/otherworlder."
In Slime Isekai, with rimuru, the trio of evil otherworlders were seen as despicable for sure. But they were still generic otherworlders who were high on power and became more evil than before. Yet, what about their backgrounds? In slime's case, that doesn't really matter. Yet in Isekai Shikkaku, not only does it matter but the show does a good job connecting the relevance of an otherworlder's background to the plot, the main character's (sensei's) motives/interests, and make it a compelling narrative with an emotional hook to it that doesn't feel shoe horned in.

They knew damn well what they were doing, when they chose this episode to drop animation quality by at least half (lmao). I've reread this manga arc several times during this season to prepare myself. Yet I cried again.
The story also translates flawlessly into anime form, it's like the authors already accounted for adaptation in mind when they made the manga (I haven't touched Love After Word Domination though)

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Another awesome story fro the author to write about.

This show surprises with how good it can present their stories.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

That was a beautiful and tragic story, those sisters were victims of fate, I thought Sensei was only going to heal Hikari but he gave them a full second chance this time with both of them being able to show how much they love each other, it was really funny how he told Wolff to step aside since it wasn't that kind of love story haha.

The Sensei made an epic entrance with his new coffin-mobile.

Yuriko truly had a sad story. Sensei has an incredible ability to get people to open up, no matter how lost they are. All of this was caused by Yuriko's father, who never paid her any attention and burdened her with the huge responsibility of caring for her sick sister, Hikari, stripping Yuriko of a life she never had.

The good thing is that the sisters reconciled and returned to their world together.

I knew it .... of greed = best girl.
Yuriko had such a rough past, it's so sad. Being robbed off a life because of your family but you can't really reject her cause you still love her. Even in this world Hikari came and stole her master from her pov. She did absolutely nothing wrong anyone would have done that and break when pushed to the edge.
"I just wanted someone to see me"

She deserved better than living in such pain while knowing she is doing bad things.
Hikari can't be blamed and she also earnestly wished for her sisters happiness. In the end sisterly love do wins out thanks to Sensei for saving the day, flying in with a coffin car and then rizzing up with author energy to send both of them home.

Atleast after all the suffering these two got a wholesome ending. Finally they can live out their lives together in peace again.

I think this is the best otherworlder story , hit so hard emotionally and made me tear up. Yuriko was such a heartbreaking character and it got a beautiful conclusion.
Tama, Esche, Wolf-guy & Nir, Yoriko & Hikari all of their stories were brilliantly presented this silly Isekai has been too good.

I thought with the way the Other Worlders' stories were placed, we wouldn't have time in this season for a third one, but I love the sisters' story. And I like how Wolff owns up to his mistake, even if he meant well throughout.

Also, great way of sneaking in "no longer human" ^^

Its a good thing Musho Season 3 is coming and I know you just got off Moonlit Fantasy season 2! So don't worry your pretty head over this show. Given how thoughtfully made Isekai Shikkaku is chances are we wont see it return for a second season unlike those other isekai show's that see 3+ seasons regularly.

Really though its not like I'll sit here and say Moonlit Fantasy is a bad show, its not. In fact I completed Season 1 and I have to say it was very enjoyable; The cast was fun and the world had some degree of intrigue. That said not everything was perfect.. some of the more "serious" parts were so edgy and fking cringe I nearly lost my head. Story short I didn't bother returning for season 2.

As for Musho well.. at a glance I already knew it wouldn't be for me and so I didn't bother. I am certain its a fun show, but the whole premise and MC is arguably shameless, cringe fantasy.

So fine you enjoy those Isekai's, but then you have the balls to come here and say Isekai Shikkaku is a 3/10 show while leaving the most inaccurate, half-baked remark about the show. I think its ridiculous.. so you know what Ill rate your post; I give it a very generous 3/10. That's the best that I can do.

@kirA_-_ You can say I'm coping here but I decided to believe she'll be ok from now on. Younger sister seemed healthier to me, after waking up. I mean, she was instantly cured after the summoning and didn't die even after her body has aged (thus became weaker). Should we assume her health will deteriorate anyways after return?

I kind of debated myself and asked "what about the wheelchair guy, he wasn't cured after return", but then I remembered that UNLIKE the sister, that guy was NOT cured after summoning and was using sticks to walk in this world as well. He was a cripple before summoning, remained cripple after summoning and seemed to remain a cripple after return. Dunno, as of yet nothing is 100% certain. Not enough evidence to make concrete conclusions IMO.

And what's with sister forgetting she was Isekaid. I assumed in last 2 cases they retained memories. Maybe only the younger sister forgot in this case for some reason? That was strange. I hope they explain the lore of truck-kun more or how those summons work. For instance, thanks to wheelchair incident we know that Senpai can return people moments after they got isekaid (with the first guy it wasn't that clear), meaning time doesn't pass in original world while they're in Isekai (or maybe Senpai's ability can send them back in time too). Still many questions.

I am so glad that Yuriko and Hikari are together again, caring for each other. They have a beautiful relationship, like two united sisters should have.

It was no point for Yuriko to become The Fallen Angel of Greed, since that not represents any resolve. Her master, Wolff, was playing a crucial part as well.

I expected the old lady to be Wolf's gf or something but not Yuriko's little sister! :O Also a nice touch that Yuriko literally stole Hikari's youth and thus turning her intonan old lady, because she felt that Hikari stole her youth before they got reincarnated! Glad they got to talk things out and make up with each other, a truly beautiful ending for these two sisters! Altho I am a bit disappointed that Hikari thinks it was all just a dream :(

@Sigmar-Unberogen I’m not saying it’s impossible but there is not enough of proof to make me believe that she is not ill anymore. But I agree that we need more information about sending back to normal world. Because every situation is different. The only think I'm pretty sure about the little sister is doesn’t remember because is not her story but her older sisters. I guess the only person who gonna remember is the one the story about. But in the same time it strange that they didn’t get back like the wheelchair guy before the moment they died. We definitely need second season for this answers and how his talent works

It's possible that they simply didn't show it to us. Sisters got hit at different times, while the first guy could've also been transported back seconds after the hit but the show just skipped that.

Now that I think about it, it's possible that the younger sister doesn't remember since the older one got returned back earlier.

That would F up the timeline though!

I mean, the younger sister got Isekaid because the older one got hit first and she sneak out of the house to look for her - then got hit. If older one was returned shortly after the hit, the younger sister would no longer go outside to look for her, thus she won't get hit and won't be Isekaid - creating a paradox of sorts! This can be confusing...

There are many ways how this can work though. It's fiction after all. It's possible the older one returned moments after getting hit, as for the younger sister, she (her soul or whatever) could've returned at the same time too (she was unconscious at that time after all) but since the timeline was altered and her getting isekaid was erased and can't happen anymore that's why she only remembers it as a dream.

kirA_-_ said:

Yeah, that makes sense too. Sensei did include younger sister in the story, of course, but it was primarily a story of older sister.

Yeah, I hope we get more of this. For instance I want to see more of the demon-girl, the new dark lord.
