| Holy shit man that month off was worth it if they’re gonna give us eps like this. Another great one, not a lot of physical action but went by in the blink of an eye because of the character interactions. I ship Yukiya and Koume so hard, so it hurt to see them have their first big fight today, but going back to her house was important for some world building. I’m guessing the whole broken promise Tobi is on about has to do with the water Koume and her dad were pedalling? Or at least the dad’s get rich schemes, don’t think they’d bring it up for no reason. It was pretty funny that they just took Koume word for it and let Yukiya go on account of him working for the prince tho lol Get you a girl that can fill in for you at work as a body double 😂 Hamayu continuing to show why she’s best girl and won the selection ritual in the end. Learning about Yamauchi being split into two worlds, an above and under ground one is so cool. There’s a whole society underground with its own culture that we haven’t explored yet so next episode should be great for that. Also seeing that there’s a barrier separating Yamauchi and the outside world was wild. So there’s a totally normal human society outside I’m guessing. I’d love to see that explored some day as well. The prince being the only one who can repair those tears in the walls is such a massive burden though “We need to wrap this up so we can deal with our monkey issue” I got news for ya big fella, they’re the same thing “In your place we’ll send YUKIYA” LMAOOOOOO dawg I bursted out laughing. Bro can not catch a break at all. Was chilling in Taruhi with his family just a few days ago now he’s back in the prince’s employ AND having to go on what could very well be a suicide mission . |

| Yukiya transporting Koume back to her place to get some clothings, but instead, regrets about the loss of her father, and to add to the mixture, Tobi of the Underground making things messy for his daughter to clear up his mess, which has been going on for time and time again for someone who doesn't want her father to come back. Hamayu acting on behalf as Wakamiya's body double is quite the trickery, though the secret pact between the Court and the Ravine of wanted men living there, being led by Tobi (or as they know him as King Saku) during Wakamiya's reign is a peace treaty between the two states that has been unchanged for time millenia. Still, Yukiya is reassured of Hamayu and Sumio's help whilst Wakamiya is patching tears alongside Yamauchi's boundary with what seems to be ghost fire from afar, meaning that the monkeys came from somewhere else. Koume being taken to the Cherry Blossom Palace as a safeguard against the Underground, and Wakamiya now has to fend for 2 issues that could link to each other, despite Natsuka and Rokon's overhearing that stops him from going to the Ravine, with Yukiya as the messenger. A strategy to stop the head and send his loyal follower? Sounds like a plan. |

@Rexnihilo Abroad and the outside world are the same. It's modern Japan in the beginning of 1990-s. But Yamauchi is isolated from it inside the mountain,the ravens cannot go outside due to magic barrier. And there are underground borderland caves and rocks between Yamauchi and Japan. Monkeys live in them.

| Great to see my girl Hamayu again, love her. Love how she casually made Yukiya back into a retainer, sly and perfect fit for Wakamiya. Got some interesting info about the underworld. Think we got a look into Koume's true personality this episode and I'm curious about what she's hiding, just hope it won't make her into a irredeemable villain as I think she suits Yukiya well. |
