Haha, Yuki playing with Alya, if Alya doesn't step up her game she has no chance in beating her for president. Speaking of Alya, girl has a huge sweet tooth, damn, but she shouldn't have eaten that red chile (when I have them in dishes like kung pao chicken I don't eat them but I like the flavor they add to the dish).

Anyway, there's a new girl in town and it seems like Masachika knows her and even gave a look to Yuki like why did you bring her? Interesting...

I found it amusing how Yuki presented a truth - her genuine care for Masachika - and twisted it to troll Alya. 🀣

In the race for best girl, Yuki refuses to go gentle into that good night.

I did not expect that after the Yuki and Alya confrontation, most of the episode would focus on the student council election. All the election talk ranging from "election primaries" to debates between candidates made me realize what a coincidence this anime is airing a story arc like this during the same year as an American presidential election. πŸ€”

Yuki is very devious, making Alya confess her feelings for Masachika and then confusing her by saying that she loves him (though it's obvious she means it in a sibling sense). Yuki is the definition of evil 😈 and Masha of angelic πŸ‘Ό hahaha.

New characters connected to Masachika's past are being introduced, like Taniyama, who is likely a candidate for the elections based on the OP, and Ayano, who appears to be a kuudere. I like that.

suou is a demon for toying with alya like that lol but alya was great this episode, the interactions with kuze and the spoon share was jokes. yet another addition being ayano, her design looks cool so i'm interested to see she what she brings. also that chillie looked divine, i would've loved that.

Another very good episode! The chemistry between Alya and Yuki is very neat -- Yuki, being so much Masachika's sister, pushes Alya's right buttons. More than shipping Masachika and Alya, Yuki is their ship yard!

Wasn’t the biggest fan of the student council president election discussion in this one, mainly because I’ve seen it in other shows before so it’s nothing new, also I always remind myself this is a high school election so it’s not as serious as they make it seem lol, but I’ve seen quite the great student council president elections in other shows so I hope this one can be fun, with Suou stirring the shit it’s gotta be at least somewhat fun. But the main goodness of the episode was the “date” between Kuze and Alya, several good bits there like the indirect kiss, Alya devouring that parfait, and another good spicy food moment which I have to respect Kuze’s balls for making happen, the Angel and Devil on his shoulders were great too lol.

And there was also that good moment between Suou and Alya earlier in the episode, I’m thinking Suou was pushing Alya on purpose which is kinda unfortunate for wincest enjoyers but I liked the scene, Alya is gonna need lots of pushing after all and who’s better than the button pushing queen lol. And at the end we got introduced to Ayano, not sure what kind of history Kuze has with her but I’m interested in finding out. And we got another nice ED this week, the visuals were cool looking and the song was another good choice.

Yuki is definitely taking over the show at this point with all her schemes, she's very good at trolling to the point that she became the best wingman as well. She definitely made Alya think she has a competitor so Alya's trying to make moves on Kuze kun now

Lots of things revealed this week

Alya thinks it's a bit early to be married, Alya has a LITTLE sweet tooth, Masha can transform into an angel and Yuki into an imp, Chisaki despite being the strongest character can't manage to take things from shelves.

Sure that's not what has actually been revealed but I want anime onlies to come back to this episode later to realise how neat it was.

Sidenotes from the LN:

I'm pretty sure Alya's favorite drink is ginger ale so I'm quite surprised to see a melon soda here. Not that I mind Alya and I enjoying the same drink but I'm not sure it wasn't ginger ale in the LN. Can someone having volume 2 fresh in mind confirm what she was drinking? EDIT: I just remember she went for melon soda in the LN too

The Yuki x Alya scene was a bit off to me I remember when reading the LN that I felt Yuki was sweet and not defiant when she tells Alya she loves Masachika. The misunderstanding came as natural anyway so the job of this scene has been done.

Now all the cast in the key visual have been introduced. Too bad Ayano will only get her time to shone next episode.

I had to laugh as Yuki messed up with Alya.

Masha asked "Kuze-kun, koucha wa milk ha? o-sato ha?" (Kuze-kun, do you like your black tea with milk or sugar?). the use of "ha" instead of "ka" here is a very interesting accent. It's like calling someone "Yamada-han" instead of "Yamada-san", I think.....

Can someone remind me why everyone lies and conceals who it is they are related to and who they know from their childhood? I feel like I'm missing something or wasn't paying attention at the start. Or is it a big reveal later on?

That's not a big reveal but as of now (in the anime) there are only hints of what happened.

You have all you need to know to discover the truth so you can think for yourself and find out or wait for the anime to explain the whole.

You can also read behind the spoiler tags if it really bothers you and hinders your enjoyment of the series to not know why they are hiding it.

First spoiler : Why are Yuki and Masachika not telling everyone they are siblings

Second spoiler : Who is the childhood friend

Third spoiler: Why Masachika doesn't remember who was his childhood friend

@DragyG Thank you for the info. Some bits are a bit contrived but it all makes sense now.

I don't. The anime lived up to the LN. Not quite immaculate, but resplendent nonetheless. This episode was so on point to the LN. I find myself smiling ear to ear throughout the episode. The contentment of watching the scenes unfold just as it were in the source material is indescribably satisfying.

Yuki's eyes at the beginning of her convo with Alya, she seemed like she thought of having fun teasing Alya a bit lol. Yuki really tried to see if she can get something out of Alya lmao. What Masachika says later on in the restaurant pretty much hits the bullseye, he really understands Yuki well. Welp, the small "date" went okay with an indirect kiss lol.

And here we are with some more new characters near the end of the episode. With that, we might get to see some new interactions lol.

Never ending plan to watch list...

Yuki shows again why she is the best girl in this episode, again Yuki trolls Alya by making Alya jealous and confused about Masachika and Yuki's relationship.

Yet this is the most boring episode in the show so far not much I can remember for the episode except the scene of little angel Masha and little devil Yuki this scene is so cute omg, and again Alya is so stupid why she has to lie that she can eat spicy food and Masachika letting Alya eat spicy food is so bad, and Maid Ayano was introduced and I wonder what Ayano and Masachika's relationship is.

@DragyG She was shown to drink Oshiruko (Sweet Red Bean Soup) in the first episode which was noted by Masachika to be her favorite drink, as she is always seen drinking it. Ergo it's γŠγ—γ‚‹γ“γ€‚

It's precisely because you know everything that it is more satisfying to watch, is it not? Not to mention that you can pick up on details which may or may not be altered in the anime adaptation as well as anime original events.

Yuki is such a troll lol. I wonder why Masachika doesn't reveal that she is his sister or at least tell Alya about it. It's kinda weird to keep it a secret. I found the superstition about sitting at the corner of a table interesting because it also exists in my country, but I didn't know that it was present in Russia too. Must be a slavic thing. I always thought the scenes with "indirect kisses" that appear in anime were stupid.

Since there's nothing like that where I live, I would understand if the person felt disgusted because of the other person's drool.

Do "indirect kisses" exist in other countries or is it just a Japanese/anime thing?

Alya be like: orders extreme amount of sweets and then "what?" -_-
She is so cute frfr

Its just me or Yuki really act like a villain?
I cant explain why, but she pisses me off. She is definitely not my type of character.
But Alya is cute, all like "HE'S MINE!!1!"

And after Yuki's conversation with Alya, it was time to Π ΠΠ‘ΠŸΠ˜Π’Π˜Π• Π Π£Π‘Π‘ΠšΠžΠ“Πž ЧАЯ Π‘ Π’ΠΠ Π•ΠΠ¬Π•Πœ (DRINK RUSSIAN TEA WITH JAM)

If someone asked me if people in Russia really drink tea with jam, i would say: yes, although not every day, usually when its cold or when they're sick.
And if someone asked me if people in Russia really eat jam with tea, i would say: yes, although i dont like this style, but i know people who really drink tea like that.

So the moment with tea is my favorite in this episode.

But again, its just me or is all this talks about the elections just incredibly boring?
Good that at least they were mixed with say aaam and bullying Alya with spicy food moments.

@Itzbouncy You can't read ahead? Ahead of the manga?

if the manga only has 42 chapters, then no πŸ˜… the anime has caught up to the manga, like I said before, or at least the English translated version

Aww.

But the anime isn't following the manga, so it won't be an issue. You're gonna love the final three episodes, which are yet to be adapted in the manga. Mark my words.

Omoshiroi!

No buddy. That's an anime forum so I won't give a class but what she asks is η΄…θŒΆγ―γƒŸγƒ«γ‚―ζ΄Ύ? γŠη ‚η³–ζ΄Ύ? that's not an accent. ζ΄Ύ is usually used to refer to a side taken by someone like dog person or cat person which are writen 犬派 (inuha) and 猫派 (nekoha)
@DragyG Ah, so it's like "Are you more of a milk-person? or a sugar-person?" kinda question, huh!? I get it now.... Danke
(I don't speak german or dutch tho, but I see you're Belgian, so.... wwwwww)
